Love the other ones too, by the way. Just got a couple of Marvel choc advent calendars from £land this morning, great for the teenagers I thought, as never to old for chocolate. They also had Star Wars & Spiderman, sorry didn't look at the girly ones I am blinkered having boys! ;-)
Nice to see everyones prep is going well, keep posting the pics.
Hugs to everyone

Afternoon to the Christmas Crew
I can't recommend a hole punch specifically, but I've read that when my crafting punches and blades go blunt, it's best to punch on tin foil several times as the metal foil helps to sharpen the edges of the punch/blade again. It might help you in the meantime while you're looking for a top-notch one?
I'm hoping to go to Primark this weekend and have a peek at the Christmas jumpers if they've got them. I got one last year but my snowman is going a bit bobbly and is at great risk of losing his carrot nose, so I thought I'd best get another so I can switch between them as the mood takes me
I may also get one for my MIL as she was most upset last year that she left it too late to get one. I'll then have to spend the next 3 months trying to keep her out of Primark!
I've bought my tickets for the Christmas craft show at the NEC in Nov, not long to go now. :j I used T clubcard points so they were free, it's a tradition that MIL and I always go, but this year my friend is coming too, and she hasn't got a clue what she's let herself in for! :rotfl: Does anyone else here go? It's so lovely and festive, it always gets me in a Christmassy mood. :xmassmile0 -
I've decided to start putting the things I need food wise into a Christmas shopping list, that way closer to the time I won't be scrabbling around trying to remember things. Very handy feature of the Tesco website actually & as I have around 60 quid of points might managed to get my whole Christmas shop for free or else double them up & buy gifts in DecemberI don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

When I need to sharpen scissors I usually cut sandpaper with them maybe punching holes in some will sharpen the edges. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hello
Does anyone have any idea where you can buy these tubes from?
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171840542007424936/
Hope that works, never inserted a picture before! It didn't work, hence trying the link way!
I've tried looking on Amazon and Ebay for plastic tubes but it tends to show a lot of test tubes (with rounded bottoms) or quite small and squat containers. Thought this was a cute idea and would like to (try to) emulate it:)0 -
I came across this little purse which will be ideal for dd's emergency hospital bag 63p delivered !

The sun has been ruining my festive mood so I'm so glad it's starting to feel cooler.
I have offered to make Christmas crackers for Christmas dinner so have been looking back through the posts for some ideas and there are some fab ones thank you. Up to now I have bought mini lip glosses that are shaped like glittery handbags for the younger girls and test tube shots for the men (we are a family that like our alcohol!). Been looking at myo crackers and have seen some on Ebay that should do the trick.
I have also bought a 'conspiracy theories' book for my ds who loves things like that for £2.99 and keeping an eye out on deals for the new ripleys book for him. Bought some little bits including those fold up shoes for my sister who always ends up with sore feet on a night out and those adorable snowmen crayons someone posted (thank you!). Has anyone see the 'I lost my name' books? I have bought one of those for my niece as its such a beautiful idea, not cheap but hopefully something she will keep forever.
And finally, so happy to hear about the christmas movie channel starting Oct 4th - that will take over my life!!
Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely autumnal weather xx0 -

Afternoon everyone, i found a gorgeous mug on amazon last night (well actually early hours of this morning ) it was far more than what i wanted to pay for my friends hamper but i had just got another £10 from surveys and thought s*d it, it has the saying GOOD FRIENDS ARE LIKE STARS, YOU CANT ALWAYS SEE THEM, BUT YOU KNOW THEY ARE THERE and i thought it was rather apt as we dont see each other a lot as she lives so far away now and it personalises the hamper a bit
RUTHHONEY yes i would love to do that! Oh what a find for your friend, i bet she was well chuffed! Oh i dont get that, i hope they do the christmas movies on True movies this year
WILLOWLOULOU i got the baskets from Home Bargains for 1.99 they really are sturdy, no you arent weird i know a few people that love baskets in their kitchen, glad you are feeling a bit more yourself this week and you caught up on some sleep, oh what a shame about the flowers perhaps you just had too much on your mind to concentrate properly
VULPIX you have made me giggle, i wish you all the luck in the world to get it and sell yours and i love love love Christmas Cottage
