Afternoon to the Christmas Crew
I can't recommend a hole punch specifically, but I've read that when my crafting punches and blades go blunt, it's best to punch on tin foil several times as the metal foil helps to sharpen the edges of the punch/blade again. It might help you in the meantime while you're looking for a top-notch one?
I'm hoping to go to Primark this weekend and have a peek at the Christmas jumpers if they've got them. I got one last year but my snowman is going a bit bobbly and is at great risk of losing his carrot nose, so I thought I'd best get another so I can switch between them as the mood takes me
I may also get one for my MIL as she was most upset last year that she left it too late to get one. I'll then have to spend the next 3 months trying to keep her out of Primark!
I've bought my tickets for the Christmas craft show at the NEC in Nov, not long to go now. :j I used T clubcard points so they were free, it's a tradition that MIL and I always go, but this year my friend is coming too, and she hasn't got a clue what she's let herself in for! :rotfl: Does anyone else here go? It's so lovely and festive, it always gets me in a Christmassy mood. :xmassmile

I dont have a Home Bargains Free - I think I am missing out!Life happens, live it well.0 -
I have also bought a 'conspiracy theories' book for my ds who loves things like that for £2.99xx
For any of you who have a Home Bargains there were several Character bubble baths for 49p, I saw Ice Age, Horrid Henry and a spider or super man foam soap.
Am working f-time this week and then I'm supposedly not in until November 3rd. If it's true it's the first time it's happened since I started in June 2012, but I'll look forward to all the spare time to devote to Christmas shopping.:T0 -

I went once... and O..M..G ... I didn't know *that* kind of person existed.. I swear their staff were found in caves and judging by the overall aroma of the shop they hadn't been acquainted with soap! The native 'shoppers' were equally vile and unwashed, if not worse.. I swore I would never set foot in there again. The prices were comparable with other cheapy places so I don't need to traumatise myself... but I'd rather pay twice the price and not deal with the people in there.. I know that makes me sound like a total snob but really they were pretty ghastly.
B&M is great and the range and I love Dunelm stuff. B&Q is lovely too.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Where did you get it from? I have a 14yo son who is convinced the World is run by the Illuminati. He showed us 'proof' at Disney this year when some lights were out at the end of the word spelling out 'Illuminations' :rotfl: so would love that book.:D

Afternoon everyone, its early bird christmas on qvc today if anyone is interested,
KAYANDY congratulations on your new flatyou sound as though you have some really nice presents there
TINCAN oh thankyou
WILLOWLOULOU im just laughing at PIGPENS post about Home Bargains, my sister says exactly the same!! I absolutely love Home Bargains, i was missing out when everyone was talking about it on here then we had a new one in town and now have a new one in another town the opposite way to me and it is even bigger and better. I am a snob (although since my KH left us in the doodah i am a lot lot better) and on the odd occasion there has been revolting people in there but now i find there are more and more people like us who just want a decent bargain, my DD1 laughs at me now when i ask to go to HB, B&M, Poundland and says mum you had never even stepped in these shops 3 years ago now they are your favourites, i just feel you get value for your money

Hi all,
Just been to the Range and bought a white xmas tree - I'm definitely going to make the snowman tree someone posted a few pages ago.0 -
Free.. should I confess I have never been in a pound shop too?? lol.. I have nothing against their staff or customers as I have no experience.. but I don't do well in crowds and they always seem to be quite full. Wilkinsons is about my level of tolerance!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
