Ooh yes, I saw this at the weekend in Manchester as well :) They had little signs up saying to please bear with them while they make everything Christmassy - it was very exciting to see :)

Card Factory has a million Christmas cards in as well, one full wall of the shop is now Christmas which is great!

I'm sorry to hear people have had such a disappointing experience of HB - I absolutely love it and haven't ever experienced bad customer service or a particular kind of person in there (does that mean I'm *that* person?:rotfl:)

I've never been in a Range shop, not even sure where my nearest one is! I'll have to seek one out

Thanks for the heads up about the Card Factory having the cards in, guess where I'm taking DD on Friday during her inset day ;) Time to make a list so we don't forget anyone :rotfl:

Sorry for butting in, I normaly just read but I wanted to share that I bought marshmallows in aldi they were reduced to 59p but they are bbq marshmallows?? They are quite big, wander if they'll be ok to just eat? Iykwim
I got them to make those cute 'do you want to be a snowman' things I've seen on pininterest, its from frozen, I can't do links on my phone
They'd also be perfect for those in the pictures

Yes, I'm sure bbq marshmallows are just ones that are sold as suitable for bbqs, but they're not actually any different, so enjoy :D

Thanks, I'm not sure DH would appreciate one but I would find it hilarious! :rotfl:

Apparently it's Christmas on the shopping channel today? I can't believe I'm missing out on it because of work! I'm hoping there'll be some pretty things on later this evening though, as DH is out at a work do so I'll have the tv all to myself!

asda have the bigger marshmellows in the american food section @ £2 & haribo medium size in bags or buckets(£3) think the mid size will be big enough for us so will get some of those.

Hb had lovely rectangular wicker baskets with a red material lining and handles in 3 sizes large was £6.99 but didn't have prices on the others. was a much wider range of xmassy items in stock today

argos was empty this morning maybe due to the minimal advertising or they fact everyone's skint till pay day? but they were def expecting it to be busy and were very suprised it wasn't

  • I LOVE Home Bargains! It's so cheap, bright always has a great selection of items and I always find something to buy in there. It's a dangerous shop for me :o
Staff in both local shops I go to are lovely and helpful.

B&M on the otherhand, OMG I can't stand it. Our stores are so DULL, very dark, everything I seem to need is on the top of the shelves where I can't reach, and trying to find a member of staff to help you, Jesus Bless us, I'd have more success winning the Lotto!
And the smell of the stores I've been in here!! OMG I actually had to walk out of my local one last time as I was nearly sick:(
A new one opened up in Belfast CC a few weeks again, and have to say I was impressed with that. Was bright and spacious and IT DIDN'T SMELL!
Staff weren't any better though :(

We don't have The Range or a Wilkos here in N.Ireland. But I wish and pray that Wilko come over to this neck of the woods someday as I could keep them in business:rotfl:

Tried to order a few things in the ARgos sale, but surprise surprise they are OOS:mad: If they don't want to give toys for free then don't offer these offers ARGOS:mad:

Our home bargains is lovely but the £stretcher next door is horrible! Every time I go in there I stick to the floor and it nearly always smells dodgy so thats one shop where I don't go down every aisle, just those I want to have a quick mooch at. To go to bm I need to jump the bus into town or out of town so I rarely go but those I tend to rush round as well :o:rotfl:

I just reserved an item at an Argos store in Liverpool which a lovely lady picked up and is posting to me on the other side of the country!! ... it is insane that we have to resort to such things!!

The B&M here is a huge steel warehouse.. so it is dark .. it can't be a nice place to be working in.
