princesskitty glad that your feeling better going out just you and baba :)
chrissy I now think I need another Christmas tree to make it like a snowman :D

Eeekk so excited also that we are in to double figures. I have two more Christmas cakes to make, which I plan to do one tomorrow and one Friday/Saturday. Then there is just ours to cook but I'm not sure what I am doing yet as I have seen a couple of ideas, need to make my mind up over the weekend (I have seen a tiered one bit like a chimmney with Santa popping out, or do one cake with Santa, Rudolph and Elves and presents on...)
Most defiantly need to get my Christmas card list down and have a look through, add/take people off and get it re-written up so I can start them in October :xmastree:
pinknfluffy oooo I love when I start wrapping, I have resisted so far, I normally sit and do them end of Nov and/or during December once I have put the decs up.

We have a training afternoon at work today on our new system, it's going to be rather boring but I am hoping I can concentrate long enough and not start daydreaming of Christmas :o
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
    Mum to two boys :heartpuls
  • You know it's getting close to Christmas when they change the name of the board :D

Have quite a few things in my Amazon basket so just need to actually decide which ones to get then arrange the delivery and that will be my friends almost sorted apart from some small chocs that I'll get nearer the time so they have better dates (and are on offer preferably ;)

Need to have a trial run on mum's hamper to see if what I have fits and whether there's anything more to get and speak to my sis about her stocking (we share the stocking buying so need to show her what I've bought already).

Apart from that it's just my sis, BIL, niece and OH to finish. I like saving the wrapping until nearer Christmas and since I have exams to worry about before then it will be my treat once they're over.

Have yet to venture to the Range (even though it's about a 10 min walk away) to see if they have their decs out yet - last year they were selling out sooo early so if I see something I want then I'll have to buy it then, just to make sure I get one you understand :o

Hope this works! Just wrapped up my first two hampers of 2014!
Top 2 pics is mum & stepd's cosy nights hamper, bottom pic is for my bro, his partner & her 2 kiddies, its kind of a glorified movie night hamper lol
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • Chrissy, the photos are excellent!

    Pink they look fab!

You guys have inspired me to dig out the surplus gift cupboard and figure out who gets what. I also need some help/inspiration. I have a very difficult family of 6 to buy for, I am giving them all a £10 voucher, but need a token gift for each with a budget of £3

Mum - late thirties will not wear or eat anything that isn't organic, doesn't like jewellery and doesn't really have any hobbies

Dad - late thirties a bit techy, likes to read but doesn't really get time to

    Daughter 21 - doesn't drink, quite trendy

    Son 18 - doesn't drink, a bit geeky

Son - 10 suffers with Aspergers (highly functioning) likes Lego and DS

Son - 7 typical rough and tumble boy that loves wrestling.

I'm at a complete loss as unfortunately due to the Aspergers, if the middle son isn't happy with a gift, he will tell you :(

Chrissy, I saw the candy cane decoration on FB, definitely going to give it a go this Christmas. Can you get mini candy canes? Would make cute tree decs...

Love the snowman tree idea. I've been thinking about getting a tree for the kitchen this year, that would be a fab design. I saw fridges made into snowmen last year but not sure it would work on my integrated frigde ;)

Oh good, hope you get something nice with them :)

Had to go to a couple of different branches to get the bags I wanted, but they seem good quality, so thank you so much for the tokens. :T
Just want to say thank you to (I think) RuthHoney, or whoever recommended Clubcard TV all those months ago. It is now closing so has emailed me to offer a free movie rental from Blinkbox to say sorry :)

That probably was me. Shame it's closing, but I guess there's lots of competition with all the streaming services now. I got a voucher too. Have bought The Book Thief to watch after someone said how much they loved the book and film. Haven't watched it yet, but hopefully this weekend.

Still catching up on here. Been away a couple of times with no wifi so I'm behind in everyone's news. Hope you're all ok.:)
