  • Evening everyone, gosh all these horrible stories of teeth  its frightening! I am surprised DS didnt need more treatment he has the worst sweet tooth imaginable :o has done since he was about 11, the amount of sweets and cakes that boy can put away is unbelievable, but the dentist said his teeth were good for what he puts them through, these are his first fillings ever, none of my kids ever needed treatment when they were young, yet back in the day they had sweets every day, my DN only had the odd sweet and ate loads of fruit, and his teeth were rotting away by the time he was 3????

DOLLYPOP i have never heard of anything like that around here but i will investigate, what a fab idea, thankyou

MRSINVISIBLE oh it sounds like you are going to need broad shoulders today with your two friends having a hard time, good luck, what are blackites?

PEPPAPIG thankyou for that link that is very interesting, yes we have no NHS dentists around here anymore either

PIXTOTTS wow what a difference i darent tell DS those prices, it is blooming outrageous what they charge here, how is your tooth today?

NICKI omg that sounds blooming awful and blooming painful poor you

OMO oh how lovely to see you on here, i love that Fingers is saying a dinosaur made his scar bless him, hope DD likes college and DS is still happy in his job, sorry about your dad and you as well, its horrible feeling sick all the time, sending hugs.
Oh i will pay you for them if you really dont need them that would be fab, thankyou x

ARTHIEN sending you lots and lots of good luck vibes for your new job

LOLALEMON oh dear another horror story poor you, sounds horrendous. I did think of that but it seems such a waste taking the tiles and the board is useless :o

WILLOWLOULOU oh i have never heard of that i will look it up thankyou, i hope you feel better soon, sending lots of get well vibes your way

omo good to see you sorry to her your dads not well and your still not feeling great but & glad to hear fingers is better :rotfl: at his dinosaur scar

pixtotts you have my sympathy. I have had nothing but trouble with my teeth since I got pg the 1st time and its gotten worse each time  I had 3yrs of treatment on 1 tooth including 2 root canals as it didnt hold eventually they caved in and took it out was a relief to be painfree for more than a few wks at a time.I had another out last yr as they kept fixing it and it kept breaking leaving 2 options another root canel or extraction and I wasn't putting myself through root canal again.

fluffysox cardfactory had a really cute elf last yr and they were only £2. I got my fiesta elves the same as these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiesta-Toys-11-Christmas-Holiday-Plush-SANTAS-SECRET-ELVES-SET-OF-2-NEW-/201139104111?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ed4d3296f from the states off eb@y a couple of yrs ago and they are great quality but they have gotten expensive.

Alot of the supermarkets have baby events on at the moment and ocado have 1/2 price on loads of items so got me thinking I might make a weaning hamper for my youngest niece?
Will wait a bit to see if card factory has them again, if not will buy one online, thanks. (Unless I see a little character beforehand ;) )
The baby food/ weaning hamper is a great idea. Annabel Karmel books are very popular, often on sale secondhand on facebook.

We lost our 3 elves in a house move in Jan 2013, I was gutted as the kids loved having them and all the fun they got up to. We started with one when dd was 2 then antihero when do was old enough, then a 3rd for dd. they are all cousins who come to visit and make sure they are being good lol. OH ended up getting the wee card factory one last year and he was great. Looks like he will be visiting again this year as the other 3 still havnt turned up, must be too busy at the North Pole ;)

I will also be be making fudge this year. I started a fb page selling fudge and tablet but it was too expensive when people ordered 3 different flavours, would have been ok if everyone else bought the rest lol. But I'm thinking of starting it back up just for the Christmas period. I fancy trying a gingerbread fudge and the peanut butter cup one was really popular. I can't recommend the carnation website ultimate fudge enough. It works everytime. A sugar thermometer is a lifesaver (only £5) and its all in the stirring afterwards too.

  • I just sent the seller I bought my elf from a message to ask if they had a red elf for sale also, as they seem to be putting a few of the green ones up now for sale. Got a reply and she has offered to sell me one along with a few other things I have just bought from her.
Also she informed me that she lives about 45 mins drive away from me, so to save on postage and her hassle we have arranged to meet up in the city center and exchange items and money the next time she is in the town :)
TOTALLY defeats the purpose of me listing stuff on Ebay to get rid of the crap yet I'm buying more from her lol. However what I've bought from this seller will be for Christmas presents and the secret santa hamper we do in work. Got the lot for it for about £13 - and our budget is £20 so I'm delighted with that lol. Have saved them to my favourite sellers for future reference, you never know what else they may decide to sell lol

On the up side though since going to work this morning I have made £20 in sales on Ebay by just using the buy it now option which cuts down on all the hanging around waiting for bids to end.
Off the the PO now to post those items, then collect Older 2 from their friends house.

  • freespirit66 - fingers crossed for nhs dentists coming back near you, we had none here, thats how I ended up not going to the dentists for well over 10 years. Now they are all accepting nhs patients again, probably because noone was going! lol. It's feeling much better today, not sore at all, I'm still avoiding chewing too much though.

    nic2075 gingerbread fudge sounds amazing!!

IrishRose12 well done on the ebay sales! reminds me i have loads i need to list
