Nice to hear from you again OMO - I hope you get well soon
I hope you are okay Nanamia?
Tesco currently have 30 Carlsberg beers on special for £16. I have bought them and have put them away for Christmas.
I have also bought 8 assorted bottles of red wine which were on offer in Asda (reduced from £6 to £3 and from £7.25 to £4.50) to give to the teachers who help my DS through the year (he has an educational statement so receives one on one help when he needs it).
I have also started collecting Coke bottles with family members names on them as part of my table pressies this year. I have found 4 so far. I will buy the little santa hats to pop on top of them once they go on sale in one of the £ shops
And I am going to be making Taste of Christmas mugs (can't remember who the OP is for these, but thank you for the idea) instead of the usual pots of gold this year, and have already bought the Gingerbread lattes and the camomile and spiced apple tea bags. I've spotted some suitable travel type mugs reduced in Tesco, and will be popping by there in the morning to buy them.
And I've also started collecting some bits and bobs for the Christmas bingo that my family and I play on boxing day.
Just keeping my eyes peeled for the red and green M&M's as I'm going to do the jars with money and sweets Freespirit posted for my niece and nephew.
My preparations are coming along nicely :xmastree:Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Hi all,
I've been lurking bit but have decided now's the time to join in the madness!
Xmas has been on my mind most of the year as I love to pickup bargains throughout.
My gains so far:
Cards picked up in Jan last year for £1
Wrap from waitrose 50p per roll
Toys for two boys
From Tesco sale earlier in the year, 8 items in total for £30-ish, RRP £110 - I also do stockings for them both and am picking sweets and small bits now - Home bargains and poundland are the favourite haunts for this!
OH
DVD from poundland
Dr who trivia game £5, was £10 last year
Travel humour book £1, RRP £6
Cartoon book £2.50, RRP £10
Whiskey book £4.99 RRP £15
Rare toy thing from ebay (yes, we are quite childish!) £12
Also going to do a stocking as per tradition - planned items include one of above books, 2 pairs of cartoon sock (£2), sweets, miniature whiskeys (anyone know where the best place to get these is?) and other random stuff...
Parents
Book £4.49 RRP £10
Bird feeder garden thing £8 RRP £20
Posh nail bag inc. Crabtree and Evelyn sale items - up to £15 atm
Assorted Friends
Posh boxed mug £2.50 RRP £10 (but paid for with vouchers so free!)
Mens Toiletry set £4 RRP £6
Printed Wine glass £8 RRP £12
There's some other bits too lurking under the bed, best get searching!
My aim is to get all physical Xmas shopping done by middle of October as the shops go crazy after then so I refuse to do anything other than food shopping, online is still open for any bargains though! I have some amazon vouchers saved up when things are spotted0 -

I've bought these before from a local off licence. The prices ranged between £2 - £3 per bottle.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Oh, just remembered what inspired me to post here - spotted these 'Chocoholic' mugs in Tesco for 50p today, might be good for anyone doing hampers or hot choc mugs. They had a few other designs plus other homewares on RTC0

Hi there all
Spring dreams....How do you do your bingo?
We have a huge family party on Boxing day with various games/ quizzes etc but I do love a new idea.
We also have big bags of odd things as presents...screwdrivers, bangles, sweet treats etc bagged up for male/ female and whoever wins gets a dip in the bag. They are usually really random things bought throughout the year and stashed.....as we great Christmas nuts really know how to stash!!!!!
xxStart by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say
Loving de-cluttering0 -

Happy to share
There are 2 in my family who have unusual names, so I know that I will not find their names, but you can order customised bottles direct from cokezone.

Hello :santa2:
I borrowed the bingo game from here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1175253
I've been collecting all the O2 priority moments freebies and will put them towards the bingo, and today I bought a small Christmas pudding for it too. Each lady family member contributes 10 items to the bingo so that it does not fall on the shoulders of just one person. I bought several rolls of the same wrapping paper in the January sales and gave each lady a roll so that all the bingo gifts have the same paper so that no-one can pick out who contributed what and cherry pickSmiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
