  • Well, I was a tad disappointed with my shopping trip today. HB and bm both had nothing of interest, my HB didn't even have the gold bars

I did pick a few halloween confectionary goodies from the £shop to go in dd1 zombie hamper, and that one should be finished now.

I also managed to find a few duck related items, and coloring books etc, so hoping that will complete dd2 birthday coloring hamper and her duck Xmas hamper (not the easiest theme I've ever chosen, but she is duck crazy!).

Asda have got hot chocolate sachets 4 for £1, and HB have microwave popcorn 4 for £1, so stocked up on both for the 5 movie night hampers I'm doing.

The only really good find was a large plastic popcorn bowl from £land! Perfect size for movie night hampers, and designed like the proper cinema boxes!

Matal4n have a few kids onesies for £5, so also sorted Xmas eve!

And finally, picked up a little votive gift pack of Yankee Christmas scents. £6!

Will be spending my evening packing hamper items into boxes so I can see what, if anything, else is needed for them - whilst burning one of my new candles, and sipping a hot chocolate!

Hope everyone is well, and has enjoyed a nice sunny day x

Ooooo whats in a zombie hamper please x

    Morning All :santa2:

mrsmoneypenny - thank you :) your folded book looks amazing :D
We have each other and then 16 other people plus for my aunties and uncles we just get them a token family gift like biscuits and I might be doing something homemade this year (I actually picked up some choc chip biccies in beautiful packaging from the 99p store a couple of months ago and they are in date until mid next year :money: )
lulu aww adorable, glad that it doesn't sound like he suffered!
freespirit thank you your a gem :D I will have to set it up later so I can share any bits. I hope the leak has dried up now!
mandco ooo hair hamper will be nice. You could get some different hair brushes possibly, if you look around and online you can pick some decent ones up for cheap! Hair bobble and grip packs (i am always losing mine!), hairspray - I think the best is boots own!, if they have longer hair you can get those bun things that you put on a ponytail and wrap hair around, a deep conditioning hair masque, a how to hair styles book?!
pinknfluffy I had never thought about doing some breakfast bits in before, what a lovely idea :) also kayandy I am stuck for what else to get my OH, I may have to steal you christmas eve hamper idea :p

I am hoping that at some time over the next week I get chance to sit and think, then make a list to take shopping for presents for people I am missing. We still have two bigger birthdays to finish gifts for and 1 smaller birthday so I need to add them to my list also. Looking forward to going shopping with my mum at the end of this month, she is not on shift that day so I am dragging her Christmas shopping with me :D i'm hoping she may either drive or at least direct me to meadow hall as I know I would get lost on my own. My mum does start shopping sometimes and gets carried away going in every store to look, so I may regret dragging her along if we are still there at midnight :rotfl:

Another Christmas cake order this morning :T going to get my fruit and bits tomorrow ready so I can start them, as being a slow poke I haven't started that bit yet :D

Do you have a cake recipe that you'd recommend? I really want to have a bash this year :)

Evening. I've been so busy with work recently I havnt had a chance to stop and get on. Working 3 different jobs and taking lots of orders on my fb page has kept me busy. Not complaining though :-)

I've been picking up some bits for Xmas as I go, Includng a twin pack of Paxo stuffing for 48p in Tesco.

Only the kids are getting bought items this year, as money has been tight after a huge car repair. Everyone else is getting home made hampers. With a lot of edible and drinkables.

From Santa I'm planning the rule -something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read. Plus a stocking full of goodies. They don't need half the rubbish I pick up in sales. So I'd rather get them something from the list and is more appreciated x

  • I was thinking about adopting things for people but they are quite dear, whats the cheapest anyone has found?

Lulu your boy was gorgeous xx

willow oxfam unwrapped's prices start at £5, I've done it before for the teachers where I donate school meals or school supplies as their combined gift
  • Ooooo whats in a zombie hamper please x

    Haynes zombie survival manual
    How to speak zombie book
    3d zombie comic
    Walking dead Xbox 360 game
Plush rick doll (from walking dead)
    Glow in the dark ax
    Water pistol
    Torch
    Snuggly blanket
"Do not enter dead inside" door plaque

I am in the process of making a first aid kit - but the items are chocolate & water that I have re labelled e.g "run away energy drink" (water) and "anti virus pills" (tic tacs) and "grenade" (kinder egg)

I then have eyeball chocolates & body part jelly sweets which I will scatter around to fill it out!

Dd1 will be 14 and she is walking dead mad! Most of the items are from fleabag or £1land. The whole lot came in at under £35!

Pinterest have some great ideas for zombie survival kits.

    Hth x
