lulu so sorry about your dog :(
freespirit I hope you have managed to de-stress a little after yesterdays events with the kitchen, just awful and maddening!!

Welcome to newbies to the thread :D

Oooo pinknfluffy I love the sound of that hamper!!
boredjellybean I did something similar to pinknfluffy for my mum and dad's wedding anniversary, but it was a foodie one. I picked up some nice crisps (they are yorkshire ones and come in a little tub!!), some bread sticks, cheese nibbles, duck pate and two cheeses from the local cheese shops and they were really chuffed with it. I think it only cost me £20 but you could easily make it cheaper than that.

Had a couple of christmas cake orders come in last night and I have started looking at what to do for ours, I always do something novel.
I can't work out how to share my picture of OH's birthday cake I made, so I can add the link to my blog which it is on, I am hoping this isn't against the forum rules, if so I will remove the link out my post -

Does anyone know how you normally post a photo in to your post? Just for any future picture posts, thanks!
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

  • thanks for your replies - I have come to the conclusion they are the hardest people to buy for/make gifts, money is not a problem for them, they don't actually spend any time together so it makes it really hard
I'm really not sure they appreciate anything given to them I might just print out a picture of the kids & make a donation on their behalf to a charity !!!!

    I'm so sorry lulu!
I'm not dreading xmas for once this year. My family have decided that we're not doing presents this year (apart from my dad and stepmom) so it means we only have to get two presents for my side, and can spend more time on presents for my SO's family.

How many people do you have to buy presents for?

    My list is:
    OH
    MiL
    FiL
    BiL
    SiL
    Dad
    Stepmom
Cat :) (can't leave him out!)

I don't think he did. Apparently he looks like he was sleeping.
