I still have plastic sweetie bags left over from last year making sleighs so will be hitting Costco closer to the time & stock up on haribo & whatever else they have, candy canes etc in large tubs then will send them in with DS as presents for his school friends.

Did a reccie & sort out of everything I have so far, not as much as this time last year but I am buying much less for people this year. I have figured that particularly for the younger family, they don't appreciate my thoughtful efforts & would much prefer vouchers, cash of something their parent tell me they want, so they will get that & a box of choccies & that's it this year :D
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

OOOOO JJ I love a good soak in the bath!! However, ouch to the injuries from your slip!!

Well it is a beautiful wintery day here....raining and foggy! Which when there is a leak in the office roof (just in the office where there is 3 of us) which has been dripping since last winter and we were promised it would be fixed in the summer which it hasn't been, it's now drip drip dripping in to a jug and is very annoying
I would like it to still be Sunday please :o

OK, that is my moan over!!
freespirit - they are good, I need to keep my eyes peeled for some other bits now. Thinking I could do with picking up another pack, as I may do one for my SIL's BF, as we need to get him something but he is quite hard to buy for...could even throw in some bottles of 'gold' beer :p

I feel a little more chirstmassy now :rudolf:
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

    Xmas Saver!
:o I am alive but not well. I have kidney stones again and am on meds that make me sick. I have tried to post before but being/feeling sick gives me a headache and I can't focus on the screen. I promise I will try harder to pop on more often, but if I don't, don't panic. I am often just to tired to do anything in the evenings.

Hope everyone else is well and your Christmas peps are storming ahead.

    OMO xx

OMO, we don't mind how often you pop in, don't feel obliged if it makes you feel poorly, just so long as you know we're all thinking of you and wishing you well, that's what matters :)

ETA: nitnurse-not2 thanks for the Amazon link, the scarves that seller has are so pretty! I've found quite a few I like and a couple that might suit a friend for just a couple of pounds, so now I'm going to have to spend couple of hours umming and ahhing over which ones to get, as I'm trying to be good and not just get them all!
  • Afternoon all,

Pinch punch first of the month & boy doesn't it feel autumnal!?

Got back from our holiday Saturday and now time to focus on our November birthdays & Christmas!

My eldest daughter (who will be 8 in November) is impossible to buy for, she hates everything you suggest and just seems to want 'babyish' things or novelty things from TV ads!

Went into Tesco earlier and they have started stocking their xmas themed sweets/chocs in. No good offers though yet. I need to find 'little extras' to go with other young children's gifts (a book but looks miserly on its own!) (all aged under 7) and up to £1.50 max pref £1 though!

Sorry to read a fair few are not in great places right now, and I hope things improve for all very soon xx
Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:
  • Thanks for all of your wishes, much appreciated.

Glad to see you are in the land of the living OMO, even if you are not firing on all cylinders, hopefully, a couple more will charge up on a regular basis and you will be back to the OMO we all know. Hope Fingers is back to his usual self now.

JJ, know how you feel about the bath! I slipped getting out the other night, still not got floor covering on the floor and all I could hear was water seeping into the brand new plaster! But at least I didn't injure myself like you :)

Free, will keep remembering things for the big Egypt trip (Cos I go so often, I do things without thinking now, in fact I was actually asked the last day if I live there!) but when they go through passport control, don't put passports away! I am assuming that they will be flying into Terminal 3, if so, their passports will be checked before they get to the top of the escalator and again when going through customs, so keeping them handy will make it a bit easier for them.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

    Afternoon everyone :D

Just quickly read back over the last few days:

Gettingtherequickly I am so sorry to hear about your horrible news......my thoughts are with you.

Karens100dayys Thank you so much for the 4oD link....I've spent the last hour or so watching Kirsty's Christmas....can't believe I've never seen it before....so many lovely ideas!!!

Joee Lovely to see you again!!

Princesskitty29 I remember it took me a month and a half before I went ANYWHERE on my own with Olivia when she was born.....with Ronan I was shopping on my own with both kids in M*rrisons 3 hours after coming home from the hospital. Take things at your own pace.

Sorry to anyone I haven't mentioned (I have a brain like a sieve) Congratulations to those with good news and hugs and loving thoughts to all those who need them at the minute!

Just got back from work where I spent the entire afternoon putting away a delivery of Christmas stock that's just arrived in store....Mr T's near me and M*rrisons both now have their Seasonal aisles filled with Christmassy chocolates and goodies and Co-0p even have Christmas trees all lined up in the window.....It must be on it's way :santa2:

I'm now goint to try and work on our Christmas planning as I was Slightly shocked by our Christmas budget from last year...Close to £1600? How is that even possible? To be fair £600 was mine and my partners spending on each other but we've agreed on a much lower budget for that this year and Yes I come from a large family (11 brothers and sisters all of which have at least 1 child each) but in my eyes £1600 is absolutely ridiculous (£350 was for food between Christmas Eve and New years day <---WHAT DID WE EAT?!?!?!) so I'm determined to get it as low as possible this year.
Cleaning out the drawers in the kitchen yesterday I came across £20 of Mars vouchers I completely forgot I had (Sent to me after finding a piece of metal in an Uncle Ben's Rice packet last year) the expiry date on them was the 1st of September 2014 so I took them with me to co-0p yesterday and used them to stock up on Christmas Chocolates so that's a couple of presents sorted there for free so that's a good start :D

Absolutely dreading tomorrow....Olivia starts her new Nursery and Ronan will now be joining her, Only 3 afternoons a week but that's more than enough for me....Can't believe my baby boy will be at nursery....so please think of me around 1pm tomorrow as I'll probably be a blubbering mess somewhere in my town centre having just dropped them off for their first session :( <---Gosh I'm such a saddo lol.

Oh dear that smells like burning sausage casserole coming fromthe kitchen...I'll stop rambling and see if I can rescue mine and the kids tea :D

115 days 6 hours and 35 minutes to go!!!

I hope all went well with nursery today! X
