  • Give me strength! Have achieved zilch since I got back, still not got a bathroom so everything is a complete tip, can't find anything, even if I could just get the airing cupboard finished,at least I could put things away and try and get some sort of shape to the place. I really have to push to get the shower sorted this week as I am finding it difficult to get out of the bath. Saw GP on Friday, she thinks it is ligament damage, but I have to go through the process for confirmation, so had X-ray on Friday evening. Was seriously pleased, left work at 5:10, in fairness the local hospital is only about 10 mins from the office, but it actually took me longer to park, walk from reception to the X-ray unit and back than it took to wait & be x rayed. I was driving away at 5:40!!! X-Ray is probably a waste of money as I will probably need to go for an MRI, but who am I to argue with the NHS logic! As long as I find out what is causing the pain & can do whatever needs to be done to resolve it, I will be happy.

Had my fill of bad news this week, unfortunately one of my cousins had a massive stroke on Tuesday afternoon, was only expected to last a few hours but battled on until Friday morning. Then was told a couple of hours later that my aunt's best friend had died suddenly, my aunt is teaching in china at the moment so will be devastated at missing the funeral. And lastly, and the most tragic, a girl I know has to deliver a still born, unfortunately the hospital can't risk inducing until they get mum's blood pressure under control. All of this is made worse by the fact she didn't know she was pregnant when she lost her first child to cot death at 6 weeks. I know that there are some new mums and trying here's, so there are mixed emotions.

On the positive side, well done to those who are getting there on prep, keep going and you will have a chill axed Christmas.

Free, apparently power cuts are a lot less frequent now, but I suggest they still take torch, they won't take much space and the girls can be smug if needed!

I'm so sorry to hear things aren't going so well for you. Hopefully things get better soon. Hugs from me xxx

Afm - got stuck in traffic on Friday and missed my doctors appointment! Luckily I rang the surgery and had an impromptu phone appointment with my doctor who has been treating me throughout this ordeal. Basically I've gotta go for tests this week as he's narrowing it down to coeliac or thyroid problems. Bit worried about the thyroid because he didn't explain exactly what he thinks could be wrong with it. Oh well.

    Afternoon everyone :D

Just quickly read back over the last few days:

Gettingtherequickly I am so sorry to hear about your horrible news......my thoughts are with you.

Karens100dayys Thank you so much for the 4oD link....I've spent the last hour or so watching Kirsty's Christmas....can't believe I've never seen it before....so many lovely ideas!!!

Joee Lovely to see you again!!

Princesskitty29 I remember it took me a month and a half before I went ANYWHERE on my own with Olivia when she was born.....with Ronan I was shopping on my own with both kids in M*rrisons 3 hours after coming home from the hospital. Take things at your own pace.

Sorry to anyone I haven't mentioned (I have a brain like a sieve) Congratulations to those with good news and hugs and loving thoughts to all those who need them at the minute!

Just got back from work where I spent the entire afternoon putting away a delivery of Christmas stock that's just arrived in store....Mr T's near me and M*rrisons both now have their Seasonal aisles filled with Christmassy chocolates and goodies and Co-0p even have Christmas trees all lined up in the window.....It must be on it's way :santa2:

I'm now goint to try and work on our Christmas planning as I was Slightly shocked by our Christmas budget from last year...Close to £1600? How is that even possible? To be fair £600 was mine and my partners spending on each other but we've agreed on a much lower budget for that this year and Yes I come from a large family (11 brothers and sisters all of which have at least 1 child each) but in my eyes £1600 is absolutely ridiculous (£350 was for food between Christmas Eve and New years day <---WHAT DID WE EAT?!?!?!) so I'm determined to get it as low as possible this year.
Cleaning out the drawers in the kitchen yesterday I came across £20 of Mars vouchers I completely forgot I had (Sent to me after finding a piece of metal in an Uncle Ben's Rice packet last year) the expiry date on them was the 1st of September 2014 so I took them with me to co-0p yesterday and used them to stock up on Christmas Chocolates so that's a couple of presents sorted there for free so that's a good start :D

Absolutely dreading tomorrow....Olivia starts her new Nursery and Ronan will now be joining her, Only 3 afternoons a week but that's more than enough for me....Can't believe my baby boy will be at nursery....so please think of me around 1pm tomorrow as I'll probably be a blubbering mess somewhere in my town centre having just dropped them off for their first session :( <---Gosh I'm such a saddo lol.

Oh dear that smells like burning sausage casserole coming fromthe kitchen...I'll stop rambling and see if I can rescue mine and the kids tea :D

115 days 6 hours and 35 minutes to go!!!

Ooh WILLOWLOULOU we do like to chat your post was number 4000 on this years thread :D:D:D

Not long had my 4000th tweet as well lol!!

Had a lovely bargain spa break with my bestie and am now fully in Christmas mode :D we made a shopping trip out as well and I got a few bargains though all for me no Christmas shopping! I have no money until next week so I am avoiding all links and google is banned! I have to pay off my huge credit card bill, I hate having it there every time I log in to my bank site!

I am making a few gifts and have the stuff here but my hands are so sore they do not like the crochet hook right now.
    Life happens, live it well.
  • GTQ - oh what a horrible dose of sadness. Hugs x

Newthrift - me too! I have my Christmas wreath Yankee candle burning, and have spent most of this evening watching you tube videos of Christmas songs!

Morriscones had some lovely large plastic jars for 99p if there of use to anyone. I picked up 5 and plan on filling them with sweets and chocolate bars instead of chocolate sleighs this year.
