Hi, supermodel mrs l breezes in, sashays to seat, and trips up over her attitude!
What a hoot the shoot was, lovely man made you feel as if it was really special, took loads of pics, pity we only get one free, as the cheapest pic is £70 to buy!!!!! I don't think we will be tempted.
DD said she may get one of DGS on his own, and we can copy it.
When we got home Nev was busy in the garden, 3 hours hard graft for the princely sum of 2 cups of tea.
Chrissy-G glad DD can start to walk now, will make it easier for you both.
JJ nice to 'see' you, hope the appointment comes round soon, and grr to buying presents that go into the black hole!
Now, got to get ready to go to the reception hotel to prep the room, am taking lots of hankies, and ear defenders, as there are bound to be tears and tantrums...(and that's just from me, the bride to be will probably be calm, well l can hope!)
Also hoping that OMO and Nanamia are ok, if you are reading but not posting, either of you, hope to see you soon.

Morning all! Playing catch-up after a very busy week and a 3-hour long interview yesterday!

Is this the irish cream recipe lulu? http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2483636/irish-cream
I've no idea what triple sec is, so I wouldn't be including that, lol!

Also, the wine might be a good idea but it depends if you've already got all the kit, or if you can borrow it, or get it free from someone, as it's very expensive to start homebrewing, but it is worth it once you've already got all the bits and pieces. Also, there's no guarantee of how it will taste, DH has made some cider which he says is 'drinkable', but he keeps buying stuff from the supermarket instead so it can't be that great :rotfl:

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good book of nursery rhymes? My sis has not long had a baby and it seems as though neither her or her husband can remember any nursery rhymes other than 'twinkle twinkle' so I thought it might be a useful xmas pressie. I've looked on amazon and there are loads so I thought I would see if anyone had a way of narrowing down the choice?

The Works do lovely Nursery Rhyme books. I bought some for our classroom last week.

I bought each of my children one of these nursery books from Amazon in the used section.
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Book-Nursery-Rhymes-Eric-Kincaid/dp/0861122992/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1409324960&sr=1-1&keywords=eric+kincaid

I had this book when I was young - and still do. I remember cuddling up with my dad reading these and do the same with my own now. Will be a lovely keepsake for each child when they grow up hopefully.

  • lulu 92 sorry to hear you've been feeling poorly, hope you feel better soon especially with all the Christmas prep to be done! Good luck with the Irish cream, i'd quite like to try making that one day.

CHRISSYG glad your daughter is able to walk again, that must make life a bit easier for you all.

Ruth_honey sorry to hear you've been poorly and blood tests suck! When I was in hospital having Wiggle they took a blood test that bruised loads of my arm, but then it wasn't input into the system and so had to do one the next day on the other arm - I looked awful! Hope you feel better soon.

mrs-moneypenny that jewellery sounds like a bargain and does sound great for Secret Santa - and what a bargain! Although I would be like you and pay more if it was worth it and for charity.

mrsinvisible glad the photoshoot was fun it's a lovely thing to do. I keep thinking of having one done with Wiggle but as you say most of the time you only get one pic and the rest are a fortune. Good luck with the wedding decorating, hope you have a dark room to lie down in afterwards! :p

Arthien a 3hr interview?! You must be exhausted! Hope it went well.

lazysheep we were bought this nursery rhyme book:

    http://www.johnlewis.com/peter-rabbit-nursery-rhyme-time-book/p231824709

The picture doesn't do it much justice but it is a really beautiful book in real life and it will be a lovely keepsake. I really love it and it's got all the main rhymes in it. I was glad to get it as I too have forgotten most of them! I'm sure you can get it from loads of places.

Well Wiggle has been amazing today, he's slept lots and luckily DH has today off so we went to John Lewis for lunch and then popped into Asda. It's funny how every day events are now big days out! Before I would have thought nothing of popping to Asda but now it is a big event. I haven't taken him out on my own yet, i'm a bit apprehensive about it but i'm sure it will be fine. I'm looking forward to the day when i'm used to it and think nothing of it!

Woolworths UK online are selling the XBOX one Minecraft (pre orer for Nove 28th delviery) for £20. The next cheapest place I found was Smyths at £32 so pretty happy with that. Have ordered for DS.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.
