theres a voucher in todays mail for £5 off a £15 spend at theworks valid till 4th sept. code can be used online as well. FIVER15

Thanks Mrs M - I did try the code but it said it didn't work with multibuys but wouldn't have looked on there if you hadn't posted and I ended up getting 20 books for £20 using the '10 children's books for £10' offer which then gave me free delivery as I'd spent £20 so I've finished off two of the DGDs' Christmas pressies now and am very happy. :D

ETA: Apologies, just realised I did all that in one sentence!

    morning all
glad i could help (in a roundabout way) peppapig. nice bargains by the sound of it.

quidsy glad you are sorted with the toothbrush now.

hope all are well, hope especially the poorlies are all on the mend soon

OMO and nanamia, thinking of you both and hope you are back soon.

bought preped hyacinths over the weekend so need to get pots and bulb compost so DD3 can get her grandparents christmas flowers on the go.

forgot to say while i was on holiday the christmas room still had its sale on so i bought 2 of those paper lantern type lamp shades that are printed with santas faces on.

going to buy some filler pressies today a friend who runs a shop has some jewellery for sale that has been handmade 50p an item!!! with all money going to charity. i bought a couple of bracelets last week and they are lovely, my DDs have said they will be brill for secret santa or cracker pressies so im going to get more and put some extra in the charity pot as they are worth far more than that.

    have a good day all

I did the exact same thing. :rotfl:

Also got some bargains in Mr S last night. They had small car tracks with a car reduced from £9.99 to £2.90 so I grabbed 4 for some of the younger boys I needed to get for. I also bought some Iron Man pjs for one of my nephews reduced from £9 to £4.50. I'd gone in to look at the lego reductions but they didn't seem to be as good at our local store as others have put on the grabbit board so didn't buy any of that. :o

Rampant Recycler I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all,

Hope everyone is fine and dandy today. Sounds like you have all found some great bargains.

I've decided to have a go at making my own Irish Cream this year! Found a lovely recipe on BBC Good Food that makes 1 litre which I could split into 500ml bottles and give one to my mum and one to MIL!

Also intrigued about homebrewed wine. There's a kit in wilkos for £15 and that makes 6 bottles of wine (Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay) and I was going to buy the Black Cherry wine kit for £6.38, which also makes 6 bottles. That would give us 12 bottles, so my sister, my two SILs and my aunties will all get some!
