Hello everyone, just catching up, Wriggle has been a bit high maintenance recently so haven't been able to keep up.

freespirit thank you for the heads up on the baby's 1st Christmas wrapping paper. We're not planning on getting LO much this year so probably won't use much of it but don't think I can help myself!

For those of you who have the Food Network channel, I was watching it earlier and it was advertising 'Christmas in September', it didn't give any dates yet but there's going to be a whole weekend of Christmas cookery programmes. Watch this space! :)

That weekend sends amazing, I can't wait!

I'm on my second load of washing and the dogs nicked my pillow !!!!

It can only get better !

Oh Chrissy, is that the first seizure in a while?
morning, (already) Chrissy, sorry about the cause of your lack of sleep, l know that's how l was with Mr l when he was ill.
Feisty, also sending sell vibes, and also glad you are back vibes.
Nice to see old friends and new delurkers posting again, (inserts waving hello smiley)
Busy week, wedding of fave neice on Saturday, so final fitting and alteration to fave cousins mother of bride outfit, (she bought it six months ago, then joined SW and lost a stone so major re-adjustments required to prevent meltdown. Spent two evenings covering jam jars with ribbon, lace, string etc for the table centres and last night l was writing names of mountains (fells, really) on stones we liberated from the local beach. Today l am making tissue paper balls and lanterns to hang in the reception, and tonight is making the bunting, what fun, eh? She says she isn't doing wedding favours, but l bet tomorrow she will want them! better have a look on pinterest for inspiration.
Well l am gonna hang out the washing and put another load in, as we have had lovely weather for the last 3-4 days and today looks like it will be too. xxx

Mrs Invisible, you make me exhausted just reading about your day!

    Glad to be back :)

  • You'd think from my name I'd be a more frequent visitor ~slaps wrists~ really must try harder to keep up (can't have Mr Christmas falling behind his time of year! ;) ) but you lot can gossip .....

Me & my family love camping too mojo but I often find it really hard work & more tiring than relaxing with my tribe! Really pleased to read that you managed to find somewhere that combined the great outdoors with relaxing. It sounds luxurious & I'd appreciate the link! :rotfl:

PinkstepsSorry to hear you're having a hard time, just know you're in our thoughts  A problem shared is a problem halved
FeistyI'm so glad you're back! Although I'm not a regular poster as I'd like to be, I do so look forward to reading your posts.
As a fellow crafter, I can appreciate there never being enough hrs in the day!
Re: your moving thoughts: We made the break from the city & now live in the middle of the county/village and can highly recommend it for a better quality of life. We've found there to be a better neighborly/community spirit. Have just realised it's because of your DH's poor health :( If it's any consolation, we, as a family, have actually found the healthcare to be better (Wiltshire)

Cannot believe I managed to miss the recent QVC Christmas shows freespirit but will keep my eye out from now on... Any recommendations?! Still hoping that the Christmas pie comes around again!!
I'm the same Newthrift... I can't keep up with how much this lot natter!
I was hoping to download a pic of the 'hoilday' throw I've been crocheting this last week but I'm not sure how to so you'll have to imagine it!!
It's a granny square that alternates green, red & white. It's already 3 rolls in & sits comfortably across my lap... 6 rolls to go!
Once I finish that I hope to start a kingsize patchwork quilt... youtube is my friend :)

Take care Christmas elves ;) ... love reading about all your Christmas preparations xx
  • Hanley I love your avatar, I adore gingerbread men... it's the theme of my kitchen all year round :xmassmile
Every Christmas Eve, the young children love to decorate gingerbread cookies & I attempt to decorate a gingerbread house (cooked from scratch myself) but all dependent on the strength of the icing whether it holds together!!

Chrissy I hope your DD is okay :( poor thing.

Got some tissue paper 3for2 in clintons today, I use it rather than traditional wrapping paper as its nicer to use especially with rubbish hands. I tried to get an Itunes voucher 25% off through paypal but it wouldnt checkout Booo. I did however decidewhat i am getting my other bestie - she needs a onesie, just gotta decide what and where from
