Chrissy I hope your DD is okay :( poor thing.

Got some tissue paper 3for2 in clintons today, I use it rather than traditional wrapping paper as its nicer to use especially with rubbish hands. I tried to get an Itunes voucher 25% off through paypal but it wouldnt checkout Booo. I did however decidewhat i am getting my other bestie - she needs a onesie, just gotta decide what and where from

CHRISSY sorry DD has had another seizure, im not surprised you couldnt get back to sleep, how is her foot now? Does she still have to use the wheelchair?

We are back at the hospital today to see if its still stable ,if it is they will let her start walking briefly.
I've a new admiration for people who push wheelchairs it seriously pulls my wrists.

You'd think from my name I'd be a more frequent visitor ~slaps wrists~ really must try harder to keep up (can't have Mr Christmas falling behind his time of year! ;) ) but you lot can gossip .....

Me & my family love camping too mojo but I often find it really hard work & more tiring than relaxing with my tribe! Really pleased to read that you managed to find somewhere that combined the great outdoors with relaxing. It sounds luxurious & I'd appreciate the link! :rotfl:

PinkstepsSorry to hear you're having a hard time, just know you're in our thoughts  A problem shared is a problem halved
FeistyI'm so glad you're back! Although I'm not a regular poster as I'd like to be, I do so look forward to reading your posts.
As a fellow crafter, I can appreciate there never being enough hrs in the day!
Re: your moving thoughts: We made the break from the city & now live in the middle of the county/village and can highly recommend it for a better quality of life. We've found there to be a better neighborly/community spirit. Have just realised it's because of your DH's poor health :( If it's any consolation, we, as a family, have actually found the healthcare to be better (Wiltshire)

Cannot believe I managed to miss the recent QVC Christmas shows freespirit but will keep my eye out from now on... Any recommendations?! Still hoping that the Christmas pie comes around again!!
I'm the same Newthrift... I can't keep up with how much this lot natter!
I was hoping to download a pic of the 'hoilday' throw I've been crocheting this last week but I'm not sure how to so you'll have to imagine it!!
It's a granny square that alternates green, red & white. It's already 3 rolls in & sits comfortably across my lap... 6 rolls to go!
Once I finish that I hope to start a kingsize patchwork quilt... youtube is my friend :)

Take care Christmas elves ;) ... love reading about all your Christmas preparations xx

Aww thank you for your kind words, they made me feel very special :) can't wait to see a picture!

Oh Chrissy, is that the first seizure in a while?

Unfortunately not ,she is having them fairly regularly 7 in the last 14 days.
At least there was no injury with this one :)

I'm glad there was no injury, but it's rotten they've been so frequent :( xxx

Posh photo shoot today folks, DD, DGS and me. A local-ish photographer gave it as a raffle prize and we won! you only get one photo free, as they obviously want you to buy more, but hopefully we will be strong and settle for the free one! I have never had my photo done by a professional person, even my wedding photos were done by a family member, hence questions like 'didn't you have a best man?' abounded.
    looking forward to the experience.
Got done all the tissue paper stuff and the bunting, so a free day today, (bride to be meltdowns permitting), so l should attack mount ironmore xx

MRSMONEYPENNY i have never heard of autumn term starting in august its always beginning of september here is that normal?

i think its a throw back from when we had the loooong summer hols. we used to have 'lester fortnight' and pack up at the end of june. i think the whole of the county shut down and decamped to skeggy for 2 weeks:rotfl: there was an attempt to bring us in line with the rest of the country but for some reason we always go back just before everyone else. ill have to get used to being home alone again now the house seems really quiet. (also got to get used to going back to work myself after 7 weeks off;) )

theres a voucher in todays mail for £5 off a £15 spend at theworks valid till 4th sept. code can be used online as well. FIVER15

Ordered a few more bits for people, thinking of getting a new phone as contract is up in a week & trying to get a deal with a free laptop, we all have tablets but a laptop is great for holidays & when you want to use non app stuff, so will do some reasearch & find the best deal. The I can give the laptop to OH for his bday in 3 weeks :D

Not getting a large family present this year, asked ds (7) what he wanted & he said electric toothbrush! So if anyone sees a rechargable one for a reasonable price please post it here.

Hugs to all having bad times or looking after those who are unwell.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

quidsy - let me know what you find on the phone front, I'm having quite the headache at the moment, my contract is up in Oct, and thanks to Dad's car accident last year I get so much spam it's insane! Phonecalls, texts, all addressed to my dad :@ so decided to ditch this number rather than upgraded. Can't decide what I want :/ But now I've gone and smashed the screen on the current phone so Oct can't come quick enough!! lol.

mrsinvisible - the photoshoot sounds great! Have fun!

I'm trying to keep up, but I'm on my holidays... AGAIN! So bit of a lurker for a few more days them I'm returning from my summer off ;)

Quidsy I have an Oral B one from Boots that was £15 which is pretty good. Does everything you expect from an electric toothbrush. It's not one of those in a big box it's in more of a packet but when you see it you'll know :)

Mrsinvisible I hope you enjoy your posh photo shoot - I'm very jealous! You can always get a really nice photo copied and use it as christmas cards!

I hope everything is okay with all my fellow elves :)

AFM - I'm feeling rotten again and I don't know why so most of yesterday was spent sleeping on my sofa! Need to get some more crimbo stuff but don't have the energy to do anything :(

we got our electric toothbrushes from boots, they were on half price, only downfall was it came with a 2 pin plug so we had to get a 3 pin to plug it into.
