  • Was speaking to the Egyptian mob on Skype last night when the littlie disappeared, didn't think much of it as that's what 3 year olds do, but I melted when she came back to tell her mum that she had gone into the living room to see me properly, they have a new sofa which is the same colour as mine and bless her, she thought I was there :) Roll on Friday morning I actually see them!

Finally got rid of my old duvet, bed linen etc yesterday.Got more to lose, but will do that when I get back from holiday, they were so grateful when I dropped the stuff off. Hopefully it will help a young person moving from care into independent living, just hope the weather will be good when I get back so I can get the rest of the duvets washed.

Been trying to get bowls to use for fudge as Christmas gifts, but I am not paying the prices! Will have a look while I am away and see if I can get them, if I can, I know they will be alot cheaper. Won't have an issue on space as 1 case is full of stuff they have asked for:D

    Have a good day everyone!

  • CHRISSYG I sympathise with the PITA neighbour - we are having a similar problem at the moment. I think 6 people live in the house next door to us, the mum (probably in her 50's) and various children and grandchildren (i'm really not sure!). She also has other older children who live in the same estate. The problem we've been having in the last couple of months is that there is just non-stop noise all day and virtually all night! It's a bit like a drop-in centre, people come and go all day. It starts early in the morning, around 8am with screeching children and different adults outside in the back garden as the weather has been nice, that goes on pretty much all day then from early evening to around 11/12 at night the teenagers are out there with their friends shouting and swearing around. All of a sudden it seems to be the place to hang out on our estate! It's a very frustrating situation as they're not doing it on purpose to annoy us, they're just living their lives but it means we get virtually no peace whatsoever. We recently bought a lovely new wooden table and chairs set for our garden but we haven't used it much as we can't sit in our garden and have even 5 minutes of peace! Their garden is also like your neighbours - full of rubbish and a giant trampoline! There is stuff all over the place, i'm not sure why they find it so enjoyable sitting out there! I'm trying to stay relaxed about it but i'm not sure how i'm going to feel when i'm at home with a baby and haven't had any sleep!

Hello amysb86! :hello: You've come to the right place! How exciting HB have got some Christmas bits in, unfortunately I don't live very close to one and am unlikely to get to one any time soon but hopefully there will be a lot more stuff by the time I go again!

Well a few things happened in the early hours of this morning and we ended up having to go to the maternity hospital this morning for me to be checked out, we came home and it's been a quiet day since so it's very much a waiting game now. I don't think it will be too long now, although I could be wrong!

Who did you donate these to please? I have some that could use a new home :D

For those that don't read or avoid the Grabbit threads, Superdrug have a large number of mens and ladies fragrances on half price or less at the moment. I've ordered some for my DS for his birthday and Christmas as he is starting to get into after shaves, but has not yet settled on a particular one :)

Thanks guys. R.E the Candy Canes, I'll keep them and hand them out to some of the kiddies in work (I work in a school) they won't know any different, actually I'll re-phrase that, they'll not care as they think it's great when they get sweets lol.

I'll jazz them up a bit and make them into Reindeer like last year, my class thought they were great and some refused to eat them :rotfl:
Then you got the greedy ones who tore them apart straight away then asked for another one:mad: Some children have no manners these days at all:mad:

I don't have a spreadsheet - we don't agree lol:o however I have found a lovely app on my phone that I can put my list on for each person, the price limit and the price it actually cost.
My aim is to spend LESS than the limit:o

Such a lovely sweet thing to do :) I'm with you on the manners front, it really is shocking!

DJ book-I'll give it another try sometime then. Maybe I was too hasty to give up.
Any takers for Twelve Days Of Christmas book? Finished it last night, so can post it on in the week. I really enjoyed it. Festive without being too twee.

Hosted a BBQ for the neighbours this afternoon. It was really nice. Some people brought some meat to go on the grill and we had some drinks, chatted and made everyone passing by jealous with the smells coming from the front yard. It was good to get to know them a bit better. The noisy ones upstairs didn't make it because they had a kids party to go to, but we did invite them, so I don't feel too bad.
Hope I manage a lie in tomorrow-I'm knackered!

    Nanamia-come back! We miss you!!!

If no one else would like to queue up for the book, can I borrow it next? I'm more than happy to pay for postage :)

You're the first to say you'd like it next, so I'll post it to you. If you don't mind, after you've read it, offer it up for someone else in here to read. :) I'll cover postage and I've got dozens of Jiffy bags here. PM me the address to send it to and I'll sort that out tomorrow or Thursday as I'm right by the post office when I go to the gym.

Evening everyone, well i have had a much better day today, i read up on the symptoms of the menopause and boom i have nearly every one, i didnt think some of my symptoms were to do with it so now feel much relieved knowing that they are! I have also explained to the kids that is why i have been feeling so rough and out of sorts and not to take any notice or worry when i am tearful/angry etc

MRSMONEYPENNY heehee that made me giggle, see reading a christmas book on the beach seems perfectly normal to me but to most people they would think you were crackers, if i saw someone i would secretly smile to myself and know they are in the club :D
