Evening everyone, hope it's ok to join back in. Have just been sorting out and came across the Christmas pressies I'd put in a safe place from the Boots sale:o Have added them to my list now.

I do have a question though, Do Candy Canes REALLY go out of date?? :huh: Found 2 boxes that haven't been opened, and well I don't want to throw them away of I can help it:o

Today is DGS last day at summer school, and they are putting on a show this afternoon for us. Looking forward to that, then 4 weeks of disorganisation til school starts.
Something is eating my courgettes, without cooking them! without taking them off the plants!!! without my permission!!!!! must do something about it, something organic, off to make coffee and 'think' ouch.

make sure you spilt your shop so that you have a tenners worth of meat in each and use one voucher each time. (you probably knew that anyway;)

Nothing happening here i'm afraid freespirit! I had to go out yesterday morning and didn't have time to post, then I was too tired in the afternoon! We were saying this morning that it's probably better if baby doesn't come today as it's our nephew's birthday today, poor old Grandparents would have two on one day! Of course it doesn't really matter though.

Ruth_honey I've read a few books in the past year that have been given to me and that I wouldn't normally read, and it's really nice to read something different now and again. I ran out of books at one stage so rifled through DH's, he only reads autobiographies so I ended up reading both of Chris Evan's books - i'm not particularly a Chris Evans fan but his books were really interesting! Congrats on the Book People win, it's so exciting winning a comp! What did you win?

Hello IrishRose :wave:. It's a dangerous game hiding presents - so easy to forget they're there! I have to put everything I buy on a spreadsheet now otherwise I wouldn't know what was going on! I'd say the candy canes should be fine, they probably won't taste quite as good as when newly bought but I don't think anyone would notice.

mrsinvisible hope you enjoy the show at the school and you catch the courgette culprit!

The security tag stories were making me smile. When I first moved in with DH we had mostly his stuff as he had lived in an unfurnished property, and his ironing board still had a security tag on it. I knew he hadn't stolen it of course (I mean of all the things to steal why would it be an ironing board?!) and I have to say we used it for another four years with it still attached!

Thanks guys. R.E the Candy Canes, I'll keep them and hand them out to some of the kiddies in work (I work in a school) they won't know any different, actually I'll re-phrase that, they'll not care as they think it's great when they get sweets lol.

I'll jazz them up a bit and make them into Reindeer like last year, my class thought they were great and some refused to eat them :rotfl:
Then you got the greedy ones who tore them apart straight away then asked for another one:mad: Some children have no manners these days at all:mad:

I don't have a spreadsheet - we don't agree lol:o however I have found a lovely app on my phone that I can put my list on for each person, the price limit and the price it actually cost.
My aim is to spend LESS than the limit:o
