mrsinvisible no bub yet! Although baby is feeing very heavy and pressing down, i'm getting some pain near my coccyx when I walk now so hopefully not long. I bet you were glad to offload that stuff, it's good to have a clear out and know it's going somewhere where it's needed. Your post made me want fish & chips! Hope you enjoyed it, might try to tempt DH to have some this week.
Ruth_honey thanks for the tips, when I get really desperate I will indeed head to the caves or underground tunnel!
Gettingtherequickly when are you going away? And what is koshari? One of my good friends' family are of Egyptian descent and he made me a banquet of Egyptian food once - it was delicious! It was a few years ago now though so I can't remember what any of it was called!
freespirit I am so sorry that you're in pain and it sounds horrible, but will you hate me if I say it made me smile a little bit? The chocolate sauce was a much better story than just the oven or iron etc! Although it's devastating to think that something as yummy as chocolate sauce that is supposed to make us feel good can also be evil! I do hope it clears up quickly for you. I know what you mean, I remember seeing bits of Planet of the Apes on TV when I was little and it freaked me out a bit, but the film yesterday was really good and had no lasting effects!
CHRISSYG that's great news with the sickness - long may it continue! Enjoy your new handbag, sounds lovey. I had a Radley purse once, and on my very first date with my DH he said 'aw you've got a cute dog on you purse' - I just looked at him and said 'this isn't just a cute dog - it's a RADLEY dog!'. Needless to say he looked a bit perplexed and had no idea what I was talking about! Bless him. :rotfl:
Well i'd better get on and have a bit of a tidy up, my parents are coming down to see me today which will be really nice.0 -
Oh, ouch, Freespirit, I feel for you!!
Well, the fish and chips were lovely, the gossip was good, people watching was fun, too so a very good day. Today will be fun as well, cos fave cous is bringing her outfit for her daughters wedding round to try on. As she is a 'well endowed, reubenesque' lady, we have ordered a selection of 'squeeze you in all over' undergarments, a morning of utter hilarity will follow, l'm sure.
On a sober note, l need to defrost the freezer, as dgs managed to unclose the door on it when he rooted there for ice cream, so it is all iced up. Yeay, fave coz is here will report back later. xx0 -

Koshari is a vegetarian meal consisting of rice, pasta, lentils, vermicelli (now you know why I was full!), with spicy tomato sauce on top with caramelised onions, yummy cheap meal and very simple. I am going next Thursday
Free Got to admit I did the same thing, but also thought that it is the sort of thing I would do myself!A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Afternoon everyone,

Do we rename Mrs I Mrs Brown?! Actually that may not be a good idea because one of the scenes from the tv programme has just flashed through my mind.............:eek:A smile costs little but creates much0 -
MrsI Sounds like you'll have a good time together - have a laugh and enjoy!
Ruth_Honey I really like going to the musicals when in London - I've just recently seen 'Charlie & the Chocolate Factory'.
Freespirit Hope the arm is ok - it is so easy to do something like that.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Oh, how funny! I bet twitter is so distracting for authors. I'm going to have to read some more of her books. I like her writing style.
I don't think I said last night. I found a book on the stairwell at Oxford Circus on the way home. Picking it up, I noticed a sticker on the front. They are given away for free, you read it, then return it on the tube somewhere for another person to read. Like a free library, with no return dates! :T
I love this idea & the book I got was called 'We Were Liars'. Not something I'd usually read, but I'll give it a go. Expand my horizons and all...:)
And today, I won a book competition with the Book People. A good week for books!3forholidays wrote: »MrsI Sounds like you'll have a good time together - have a laugh and enjoy!

My hubby took me to see that for my birthday last year. Really enjoyed it. The kids are great in it. Booked to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels tonight. I've been looking for a decent deal for this show for a while now and got a meal & show offer through LoveTheatre.
Oooh, White Christmas is going to be playing at the Dominion this Christmas. Want to see that too. (I may have mentioned it before-if so, sorry!)Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Got home last night and was all prepared to do the ironing, I had hung a load of washing out before I went to work yesterday morning, so was going to be so up to date with it. Except one minor, but very important detail, it was all missing! Got a portable rotary drier, the whole lot was gone  I was gobsmacked. There are builders working at the back of the flats, but there was no reason for them to touch it as it was under the canopy, away from anything. Had to go looking and found it next door (there is a wall allowing some privacy for each flat but we walk along the grass). They are obviously conscientious builders, but there was still no need to cause me to panic at the thought of someone nicking my smalls!
Got my bag sorted out in Debs, they were really surprise on the counter that it had come into the store with the tag on.
Have a good one!A smile costs little but creates much0
