In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Evening everyone, i was a right twit tonight, i have done something stupid and have burnt my inner arm am now sitting with a burn pad on it and all bandaged up, i am such a goofball today
RUTHHONEY wow that is brilliant getting a retweet, i have had a few celebrities retweet and favourite and it really makes my week
MRSMONEYPENNY glad MIL is home, there is nothing like your own bed especially after hospital, hope she has a speedy recovery#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
newthrift sorry your Grandad is poorly, I hope they sort out whatever it is that needs doing so he can be more comfortable at home.
Feisty oh gosh what a nightmare! I can imagine how frustrating that would be. Nothing against your cousin but there really is no need to be like that, it's actually better to keep moving and be active.
3forholidays I love Lymington! I've only been there on a day trip a couple of times but it is such a lovely place, i'd happily go back there time and again.
Peppapig I hope your DH is ok, it's such a hard thing to go through but as you say he needs to let it out. My DH can be quite emotional, and when we went to his Grandad's funeral he kept saying 'I don't want to get really upset and cry loads' and I just kept saying to him that it was perfectly normal, and if that's what he wanted to do then he should because it's all part of the grieving process. Thinking of you all.
Ruth_honey thanks, yes everything was fine in the end.I really enjoyed the Twelve Days of Christmas too and how exciting getting a tweet! :T I am on Twitter but I never tweet, I just read everyone else's! This is making me want to tweet now! Good luck with Philip...
mrs-moneypenny that's great news about your MiL, I hope she recovers well now that she's home.
freespirit how did you burn yourself?!! It sounds nasty, I do hope it's not too painful and that it heals quickly.
I also enjoyed the slightly cooler weather yesterday, although ironically me and one of the NCT girls went top the cinema to escape the heat and it wasn't as hot yesterday! Nevermind I enjoyed myself. There wasn't much on so we plumped for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which is something I wouldn't ordinarily go and see but it was really good!0 -
Morning, cooler and grey, but still not cold, or windy.
That was the weather report, by the way, not about me, at all.
Freespirit, what happened? are you ok otherwise? poor you, ouch! sending 'flamazine' vibes (other burn relief treatments are also available).
Mrs MP so glad your MIL is home, it has been a time of worry for you both.
Newthrift, I hope all goes well for your granddad, and that he too will soon be back home with you all.
Feisty, it sounds like your cousin is a PITA all the time, and you must be sick to the back teeth of her.
Princess, am I still waiting for bub news?
I had to raid the Christmas overstock again for a 30th birthday present for my friends son, I've known him since day 1 of his 30 years, and his mum for even longer, it makes me feel very old. Edited to say 'I am really getting old'
Fave cous is taking me out for fish and chips at lunchtime, she is a sweetie. Her younger son is moving into his first home with his partner on Friday, so they came to see me and I was able to offload a load of stuff (iron, toaster, kettle,multi-cooker, coffee table, lamp, cutlery, bedding, curtains, mugs, linen basket, conveyor belt and set of sliding doors, they joked,) but I will get the last laugh, as they are getting a cuddly toy and a fondue set wrapped up for a moving in present!
The loft is a good bit emptier too, now.
DGS is still enjoying summer school, so am I, and his mum.
If anyone is in touch with OMO or Nanamia, please pass on my best wishes, off to make coffee. xx0 -

How did you manage that? Ow!
Which celebs have you had retweet/favourite? It gives you such a buzz, doesn't it?princesskitty29 wrote: »newthrift sorry your Grandad is poorly, I hope they sort out whatever it is that needs doing so he can be more comfortable at home.

Good idea to go to the cinema to escape the heat. It's always quite chilly in our local one. A couple of other good places are caves (like Clearwell caves) and the foot tunnel under the Thames at Greenwich!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Really busy at work trying to keep as up to date with everything that I can before I go away, but some things are literally my last day at work as they involve HMRC and their dating of returns etc - pain when I want to go away!
Going up to get in the mood this evening - got a Groupon voucher for Egyptian food so going to have koshari this evening with our admin girl, love koshari anyway.
Have started packing, in that I have gifts etc in a case, no clothes packed. I feel quite disorganised as I usually Fedex a box with all the shopping requests, but discovered I can take 2 23kg cases with me, so I am saving on all of the Fedex costs, very MSE:D Downside is having to deal with 2 cases, but I can't really complain. Having a mare trying to get footwear to fit the kids & I, don't like anything that actually fits us and anything I do like is either too big or small:mad:
Losing one of my Christmas cakes this week, someone I know is moving to other end of country and he loves cake, so I am giving one to him as a gift, he has threatened to come back on a regular basis for more! Another friend is giving him a bottle of his favourite red, so between us, we have him sorted for his first days food:rotfl:
Hugs & well dones to all who need & deserve them.
OMO, how is Fingers doing? Hopefully getting rapidly back to his usual adorable self.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Evening, i am moaning again
i have been stuck in bed all day with the worst migraine, 3 lots of tabs, ice pack, etc
PRINCESSKITTY/RUTHHONEY/MRSINVISIBLE oh god i cant believe i am going to tell you this, i had ice cream with chopped banana for pudding and then saw the chocolate sauce but decided ooh i fancy that hot so stupidly put it in microwave, when i opened the lid it just squirted out everywhere all over my arm and with it being thick just stayed there burning, so i quickly put my arm under cold running water then used an ice pack but it was still throbbing so used a burn pad out of DD1 first aid pack it was soaked in aloe vera gel then DS bandaged it up for me, and today i only have red marks where the pad didnt cover the rest of it looks fine. Suffice to say i will never want hot choc sauce over my ice cream again
PRINCESSKITTY i used to hate the Planet of the Apes when i was younger it scared me silly, but i actually saw a trailer for this film and it didnt look too bad, i thought i might even watch it when it comes out on dvd
MRSINVISIBLE you do make me giggle, you are very cool to us!!
Hope you had a good lunch out with your cousin.
RUTHHONEY my first was Dawn Bibby from qvc and the craft channels, then Daniel Ryan the actor, Joanne Wheatley the cook from GBBO, and Holly Bell from the GBBO, Lisa Faulkner the actress/cook, Susie Amy the actress, Tom Williams the footballer, Christine Hamilton from the tv, haha how sad am i that i remember them all, but it does give you a buzz that they made time to retweet/favourite etc.
GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY hope you have a lovely meal tonight, it sounds lovely
PEPPAPIG im sorry i thought i commented yesterday but it didnt come out in my post, its good that DH is managing to let some of it out as that is so much better than bottling it all up and is all part of the grieving process, hope you are ok too and keeping strong#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
Ooooh...am wincing in pain for your arm. That must've been horrible because you can't get it off quick enough. Hope it heals soon. Keep on with the aloe Vera though. It will help a lot.
You've had loads of celeb tweets! I had a few from some West Ends stars and three authors. Only realised after a few years of being on twitter that having a 'private' account meant that people that didn't follow you can't read your tweets-even if they're directed to them, so many messages just hadn't been seen. Now I've got two accounts-one private one for people I actually know in RL and another one to tweet various rubbish that isn't too personal and to tweet celebs.
Just got home from seeing Daytona at the theatre. Too many late nights catching up with me...zzzz...Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Bought a couple of bags from Debenhams, think I paid about £30 for the 2, one of me and one as a gift, reduced from about £95. Had them delivered to store and picked up yesterday, was so excited to see mine when I got home and then nightmare - guess who has to suffer the embarrassment of going back there this evening, setting off the alarm so that I can have the security tag removed  Can't believe there was one on one bag and not the other:eek:
Food was lovely yesterday evening, real Egyptian street food. We were going to have dessert but decided there was no space, even after wandering around Covent Garden for a couple of hours. My poor feet when I got home, straight in for shower and putting washing machine on.
Have a good day everyoneA smile costs little but creates much0
