doodygirl - I knew it was soon, thanks for the reminder :)

felt like 10000degrees last night, at work we have got doors and windows open trying to make a cross breeze in the office so we don't boil too much.
I have made 3 sponges before work and vanilla buttercream, as I am making a birthday cake for someone I work with's wife (at his request!). Need to put it all together later and finish decorating. Hoping it looks as I want it too.

Hi, just wanted to clarify something about Christmas in July on QVC.

Is it this weekend? or is it this Thursday & Friday?
Sky planner says this Thursday & Friday??

Only ask as I have actually booked these days off of work as a treat to myself & don't want to be disappointed!

I tried searching the net a few weeks ago but information was hard to come by

Update!! Have just gone onto the channel & it says in the corner 2 days to go until christmas in July so that will be Thursday & Friday then!
Really looking forward to this as it's my first time

For anyone needing to buy school shoes for teenage and college age boys, Clarks currently has a sale on and you can get adult size shoes in sizes 7, 9.5 to 11 from £23.99 including free delivery.

Grab them now before the prices go up in the back to school frenzy ...

Evening everyone, managed to get another two presents off my list from amazon today so that has cheered me up especially as i am a miserable moo again today, emotional, tearful, moody i am wondering if it is the big M??? Has anyone else noticed that the online supermarket shopping sites seem to be slipping in bits of christmas food, the last few weeks i have noticed offers on christmas chocolates, crisps, nuts, pickled onions, red cabbage etc ;)

OMO still thinking of fingers hope he is improving :)

MRSMONEYPENNY im so glad you had a lovely weekend, you deserved it and i expect, very much needed it, glad MIL is still improving and will be home soon. Oh that shop sounds lovely will note that down if i am ever in that part of the world

NEWTHRIFT thats some going making all that before work!!! Hope it turned out well :)

MRSCHRISTMAS i was surprised when i got an email this morning from qvc that it starts on the 24th, i always thought it started on the 25th of each month, so if i hadnt have checked i would have missed out on thursday

  • Happy belated birthday mrs-moneypenny and Hanley! _party_:bdaycake:

mrs-moneypenny so glad to hear MiL's op went well, hope she recovers quickly. And lovely to hear you had some time away for your anniversary.

OMO so sorry to hear about Fingers, I do hope they can find what's wrong quickly and that he won't be in there for 6 weeks.

Well we managed to get through our funeral and wedding in one day in different parts of the country - and no baby came! We were fine although both venues for the different events were sooooo hot! It's not that I don't like warm sunny weather, but I do tend to wilt a bit in the heat even when i'm not pregnant. Now i'm pregnant I have to add another 10 degrees to the temperature! We stayed at my parents place after the wedding (they were away in Sheffield) and by the time we got back I was very ready for bed and a sleep, but at about 2am there was a big thunderstorm, although it was mostly lightening. The lightening was constant so the whole room was lit up, we then heard a noise in the hallway and found the plug with the night-lite was sizzling so we had to get a wooden spoon to turn it off then all of the electric went out. We were then paranoid of something sparking and catching fire so didn't sleep for a while, then heard another noise and it was the electric coming back on. Eventually the storm tailed off and we managed to fall asleep again, but what a day and night! Been spending the last few days since catching up with myself. I think i'm feeling ready for baby to come now, although I've still got 2 weeks to go - if i'm lucky!!

I haven't read back yet, but just popped in to say I have had the most exciting 48 hours ever!

Went to view a car yesterday morning, had 3 others booked in to see that day, but ended up buying the first one!! A clio, metallic blue, 06 plate, but immaculate! and it's only done 26,000 miles! :o! AND best thing... It has WORKING air con!!! :D I've had a car with poo aircon for 12 months, so excited!
Had about a hour once we got home to get ready for harry potter which the best thing ever! Even my friend who has never seen the films or read the books really enjoyed it and wants to go again!! It was soooo good!
I've spent this morning booking train tickets to Devon, we go on Sat for 2 weeks, but the middle weekend I have to bring lil sis home for pack holiday (shes a young leader), and do Avon deliveries, so decided no point in me taking the car back down, started looking at coaches £40, for 9 hours 50mins! My mum was like "well it is cheaper than driving"... Forget that! I'd rather drive! But I came up trumps :D, could have gone a teeny cheaper with the train ticket and gone standard but was only £32 for first class! with the £8 to get to the main train station exactly same price, as coach really but so much nicer :)
And this afternoon to finish it all off I get to go collect my car!! :D 2pm :D
