Don't know us!, although to be fair, Martin will be on for his usual slot so it may be part of that.

    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Nanamia! :bdaycake:
    I'm sorry I'm a day late!

So my interview is tomorrow and I am now fairly certain I'm not getting the job. I was at work yesterday and there are 3 of us going for the job from my store and we hadn't heard anything about the venue and where we are going, so yesterday I emailed the careers email and got no response and the manager from Exeter is helping to run our interview so I called and asked if he was about and was told no but was given a email address and phone number and was told he avidly checks his emails, so I emailed to find out if he knew anything got no response so then about 2 hours later I called him and he didn't know so I left it. Now today about an hour ago in fact I got a call from the careers woman with the venue and she basically preceeded to tell me off for calling him and all the rest of it before she would tell me the venue. So now I feel rubbish about tomorrow, I had been nervously looking forward to it and now I feel like I don't even want to go.

Sorry lovelies I just needed to vent abit.

freespirit Poor DS with the weddings, two on the same day is rubbish! I've had it twice now where people have got married one day after the other and nowhere near each other! A few years ago I had a wedding in Gloucestershire on one day then one in Milan on the following day! We did make both but only after we missed our initial flight to Milan and had to pay £500 for a business class seat as that was all that was available to get us there in time for the ceremony!! This year I have my friends wedding next Friday in Gloucestershire (and the funeral in Milton Keynes) and the following day another friend is getting married in St Ives. As i'll only be a few weeks away from my due date I had to draw the line at going down to Cornwall as it's just too far. But two on the same day is rubbish as you can't do both. It's funny isn't it when people have a whole year to do it and they both pick the same date! Sorry to hear about your TV, what a pain. I hope you can sort something out soon, you need to look after your back. x

mrs-moneypenny sometimes we just get teary, perhaps you are doing to much at the moment? I know you have to be there for your MiL but make sure you make time for yourself as well. Well done to DS on the award! :T

springdreams yay for CATS! I don't actually know much about it but hope you have a fab time. Ruth_honey I hope you manage to make it to a show too!

b_e_g sorry to hear you've been in and out of the doctors, I do hope you manage to avoid having to go into hospital.

Ameyturtle just try to forget about her and ignore what she said, if they had of told you where you had to go earlier you wouldn't have had to try to find out! If you ask me it shows that you are diligent and proactive. Good luck, you will be great!

Happy belated birthday Nanamia and Dom_Ravioli! _party_:bdaycake:

Thank you all for your well wishes, it's always a sad time but we are happy he's not suffering any more. DH already joked that i'll probably go into labour on the day of the funeral and wedding! The saving grace is that my friend who is getting married is a nurse and she said there will be lots of nurses there who have been trained in basic delivery so i'll be ok! :p The first baby was born yesterday from my NCT group so it's all becoming a bit real now!

Princesskitty29, fingers and toes crossed for you that baby waits just a tiny bit longer and doesn't put in an appearance during either the wedding or funeral.

Sad news about your tv Freespirit. Perhaps look out on freecycle for a new to you one?

Good luck for the interview Ameyturtle.

I hope you feel better soon B_E_G.

I found out yesterday that the Bury St Edmonds Christmas fayre will be on 27, 28, 29 and 30 November 2014. I have therefore today booked a room at a nearby Travelodge for Saturday 29 November before the rooms sell out or go up in price.

More info here for anyone else who is interested in this fayre:

    Afternoon!
amey - I hope your interview went well?!
springdreams - aww that's fab emoticon!! Good news booking early for the fayre too!!
freespirit - hope you manage to sort a new TV and bits out for not too much!

Well this afternoon has gone a little belly up
I had planned that since there wasn't too much for me to do in the office today I would catch up on my house work and have a almost spotless house by this evening, however, MIL had to whisk off at lunch to help her sister (S1) with her other sister (S2). She has Parkinson's and lives alone due to her husband passing away a few years back. She needs to go for respite again which she is booked in to a room from today but she wasn't playing ball and S1 was struggling to MIL had to go help. She wasn't too happy herself and she had things to do too but needs must.
Hopefully they have got S2 motivated along now and it's going better than earlier, I will find out later. This all meant I needed to stop in the office to mointor emails/phone/work being carried out. So the house work shall wait for tonight/tomorrow.
On the plus side, I have had a look on Laura Ashley sale and picked up some lovely drawer liners and sachets for mum, mil, grandma and my OH's nana for Christmas at around 1/2 price :D I have seen a beautiful trinket box on sale at debenhams too but they don't accept paypal so need to wait til I get back down home to order that (I am between if this is for OH's brothers GF or my brothers GF). We don't get them much, just up to £15 as they are often with us Christmas day and I do enjoy giving :D:xmassmile

Hopefully we are off to the all you can eat chinese with two friends tonight, provided both the men finish work in reasonable time, otherwise it will just be somewhere a little more local (as the all you can eat is 40mins away)!

Well....that was a little bit of catching up, little bit of a moan, bit of filling in/updating and some jibberish:rotfl:
Hopefully OH or FIL won't be long back so I can get down home.
    Have a good evening all!!

  • Picked up a pack of 2 Liverpool toothbrushes in Sportsdirect if anyone has a supporter and thinks they may like it as a stocking filler. My poor nephew, it is the first thing I have bought him so far, others doing ok, but he is the middle boy of 3 with his sister being 18mths older than him, so although technically not the middle child, he does suffer from middle child syndrome.

Not really looking for anything at the mo, too busy before I go away, but if I see something like the toothbrushes, will pick it up.
