Afternoon everyone, its so hot here, am dreading the end of the week as we are looking at 30 degrees apparently  i didnt get on last night as went to my Dsis for dinner and by the time i got back i was shattered so went straight to bed and then couldnt get to sleepRuth_honey wrote: »The book and luggage stickers arrived yesterday. Thanks so much for those! :j
I'll post when I've finished reading the book and send it on to anyone else who wants to read it next.
I'll look out for the millionaires shortbread cappucino. It sounds like something I should enjoy.
I'd love some more stickers if there's no-one else that needs them. No rush, though. The offer runs until September.
Is there anything I can send to you in return?
RUTHHONEY Ooh i can think of a few things :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
No dont be daft you are very welcomeLove the sound of your minion day
MOJOWORKING no not yetstill looking, i felt really sorry for a lady on facebay last night, she had bought a secondhand tv that had been advertised on our local group (i read advert but it didnt sound good, had a scratch on screen and she wanted £50) she got home and it worked for 20 mins and then broke, so she phoned this person who refused to speak to her, kept making her daughter speak to her and they turned round and said you are not getting your money back you must have broke it on the way home  so this woman is out of pocket??? Mind you i cant believe she bought it without checking it was working but there you go she probably thinks everyone is trustworthy. I havent even watched any tv all weekend
hope you manage to get back to your yankee bargains

Afternoon Everyone
mojo - sending you hugs! You can pick your friends not your family as my mum always says, they can be rather a pain!
pixitots - look forward to seeing picture of cakeAvon sounds terrible, you wouldn't think there would be such a turf war with it, hope it all starts to settle down soon! Lovely hair colours!
feisty - it does seem that the lesser hours for the same/more money would make more sense. I can understand you taking some time to decide over it though, no point rushing in!
chrissy - I will have to take a look at the Wilko's website or nip in store when I am near, may be good for Grandma's
princesskitty - thanks for askingyes managed to catch up on myself Saturday between different jobs, just the ironing to do tonight and I am about there.
freespirit - they got MIL's sister in and settled (ish), took a while though I gather. The room isn't the same as she has been in before it's smaller, not as good a view and the previous occupant had left two family pictures on the side board (not sure if she had gone home and forgot or passed away), so that didn't go down to well, but she is in and being watched. Definatly in need of the respite, it's just what the next move is when she is out as it's quite obvious she has moved to the next stage (turned out she hasn't really been eating and explains why she has been poorly with her medication!!!)Hopefully they will have some assistance and she will agree with what happens next - but we will see!!
I am still feeling a little sore of the legs today, I did the 5K race for life again yesterday morning. Raised £335.00 against a traget of £150 so really chuffed
I ordered some cheap christmas DVD's from amazon last night to add to our collection. Picked up some chocolate chip cookies that are 'christmas boxed' from the 99p store and dated until next year so was chuffed with them (OH said yum will have them with a cuppa tonight - so I have now hidden them and brought him some choc covered malted milk biscuits :rotfl:)
I have actually been and ordered myself some new running trainers too as mine are not supporting my feet enough when running (although for general use they are still fine so will keep them for other use). I do go to M&M direct and get them cheaper than what they should be so MS there  Saved £30 off what they should of been and set a target of max £40 and they come in under that :T
omo - I hope you are OK wherever you are and whatever you are doing!!Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
Mum to two boys :heartpuls0 -

Evening everyone,
NEWTHRIFT oh dear, seeing the photos must have been very confusing for her, surely the room should have been checked before her stay. Hope she gets on ok and is well looked after.
Well done on the race for life and what a fab amount you have raised.

Hello,
Thank you for your messages
Sorry for going AWOL. Fingers has had to have an emergency operation and we are taking it in turns to stay with him at the hospital. What with working and looking after the dog/home/kids I haven't had a spare 5 minutes. I just seem to always be driving up or down the motorway.
They thought he had fractured his elbow so put a cast on it. Only he hadn't and he joint somehow got infected. The infection had nowhere to go as his elbow couldn't swell because of the cast so went inwards and into his blood stream. He has had to have the joint drained and cleaned out. He is on a intravenous drip of antibiotics and fluids. But he is slowly getting better.
I am off to bed now as I have to be up in 4 hours. Hope everyone is well. I will try to read back sometime this week but I'm not really taking anything I read in properly. x
I sold the tent the day he was admitted and still haven't updated the cv fund. I will do it now or it will never get done. xx0 -
omo- hope fingers heals quickly xxxxNanMias - cyber granddaughter!

Oh, what a dreadful thing for you all, poor Fingers, hope he recovers speedily. No wonder you haven't posted, appropriate vibes heading out to OMO land.
Ameyturtle, pity about the job, but good feedback is a winner. What is for you won't go past you as my gran would say.
Big day in the Invis world, DGS graduates from primary school tonight, and l am required to attend. DD says l need to take a big white hankie, not sure if it is for crying into, or waving, or a flag of surrender, but....
I fell off the frugal wagon yesterday and ordered a jacket/anorak-ey wotsit in the Debnem blue cross, and a pair of shoes from the marks and spensive sale. l am now back on board and will have a NSD today as my penance.
Off to wake up said GDS aka 'grumplestiltskin' neither of us like mornings.0
