Evening everyone, well i finally got going this morning then got a flipping statement from the bank i have a joint account with exH and that was it, i was so frustrated and angry i cried  he left me a lot of his debts and my lovely, wonderful DS has paid most of them off for me (with his on call money) this year and the od at this bank was one of them but they keep making up all these overdraft fees even though it was at 0.00 and they promised me on the phone that the account would be closed, so cue statement with new od fees, (very bravely) i rang them he was kind enough to pay back fees but said the lady i spoke to last time should not have said that they will close account i have to go into the branch and do this  WELL WHY LIE TO ME? they have harassed and harassed me, knowing i dont work, but when i tried to give them exH address they didnt want to know, said they had to go with the address on the account, he even went in the branch and asked for his name to be taken off the account and they still didnt chase him for them :eek: so i never sent the form back giving my permission for them to take him off, i dont see why i should get the bad credit rating for his debts:mad: oh sorry rant over, it just makes my blood boil.

Freespirit it's because we live in a small town which a lot of people don't leave. I can buy cushions in Primark in London, use them for a year, then sell them for what I paid.
I once bought dd 4 pairs of DM style boots up there, and she sold them all a year later for the same money. x

Although I am running out of things to sell. I will have to raid my Dads soon. :rotfl:
Just remembered I haven't been in the trailer yet . :D

ETA - have another £80 to add in the next couple of days. :D

OMO Haha love it! sounds like they are all in the twilight zone :rotfl: you are doing so well. Oh that quote is so sweet :)

    Morning :hello:
Harrogate was lovely the sun was shining bright and very much enjoyed it! Was not OS in the slightest but I am now being good :) The only downside was being full of cold all weekend, still got it now :( doing my best not to give it my OH as he goes on a stag do all weekend from Friday and that wouldn't be fair! He has been looking after me well though, brought me a cuppa to bed last night and made my lunch for work today whilst I sat in a hot bubbly bath :kisses3::love: he is very good :D
I have read through what I missed, I apologise now as I can't remember everything I was going to mention - cold is not helping either!
BEG - we stopped at the Old Swan Hotel which was quite expensive and was not worth it's money! £138 per night per room:eek: OH's parent's paid for us all though and they complained and got £30 off, I am going to be leaving a diplomatic review as some parts were OK but as I say not worth it's money! OH did say we would of stopped at Travelodge as it was only up the road and we didnt mind :) he is wondering if we try and go back with some friends as the bars were nice and stop at the travelodge!
OMO - What a very nice ''friend'' (that was sarcasm although very hard to show when typing I just realised)!! You are doing well on your fund you will have a lovely van when you have done.
    Freespirit - feel better soon!

Nothing overly christmassy has progressed at our house, I am going to finish putting all the fathers day/birthday presents together (which I did start last week) and then I will be back on the Christmas train :snow_laug:xmastree:

Sorry I know I have missed people I was going to mention! Hugs & happy thoughts to everyone who is in need/wants!

NEWTHRIFT oh im so glad you had a great weekend albeit the cold. What a shame you were all disappointed with the hotel especially at that price :(
    morning all
hope everyone is well and had a good weekend
DS1 back to work feeling much better
DS2 off to school in his smart new year 10 uniform - totally embarrassed him by insisting on a photo before he set out. LOL
spent the morning cutting front hedge and weeding and deadheading our front garden. just picking clippings up then ill make a start in the house.
decisions ironing, mending, or tidying main decision is what to start with first.

omo brilliant how your caravan fund is growing. well done
freespirit. love your list it looks so much more tempting than mine

MRSMONEYPENNY haha that made me laugh about the list, glad DS1 is feeling much better and back at work

Freespirit, I'm sorry you had such an awful morning :( I really hope that you manage to get it sorted. I know you don't like confrontation, and hate using the phone (I'm the same), well perhaps you could write a letter to the FSA complaining about your bank?

It can all be done by letter, and you may even manage to get some of those fees reversed?

I completely forgot to share my Christmas news! My oldest/best friend made a surprise visit (she lives near London) and I managed to offload two and a half years of birthday and Christmas presents lol. I now have a bit of space in the wardrobe to look at perhaps getting a few presents.

Although we are officially now on the market, so perhaps I shouldn't be filling up all my de-cluttered space with presents lol

    Xmas Saver!
    I'm fed up :(

My house looks a mess with all the things I am trying to sell out everywhere. And although we have sold loads and have a fair amount, I realised this morning I still don't have enough even to by the carp van my supposed BFF offered me.
It just feels like I will never get there. We will run if things to sell and then it really slow down.
Dd did say about going out of town and buying some bits in Poundland, then selling here for £2.50. As nobody here would know. Which is a good idea, but right now I feel deflated.

At Christmas time I will try and sell my snoods and bits I make as presents. I just need something to boost it now.

I know, I have no patience what so ever. :rotfl:

OMG. So there I am posting bits on FB, when I get a private message, from a bloke. I think he is going to buy something.
    No he say-
' Hi, bit of a random question, but did you used to go to Alresford primary school ? '

Yes I did ! And he recognised my name! I can't remember what I did last week, let alone 30 years ago. :rotfl:
