Nanamia, you are back! gosh, we have all missed you! also glad that your right arm is on the mend.
Also Nic, Sequeena, TrendyJenny Mrs Christmas, et al. Glad to see you still popping in. Nic, Nanamia is right, we will listen and love, send hugs and virtual biscuits, whenever you need us.
Freespirit, hope the painting is done now, and you can recover from the fumes. You put me to shame, my whole house needs re-decorated, but as it was always better-than-besties job, I am reluctant to do it, he will be on my shoulder telling me off for doing a poor job!
Glad that this month is almost over, and payday is close!

Morning lovelies, omg this is too early for me on a weekend :rotfl:but got to go out and get more paint from one shop, paint for the walls from another, toilet roll and bleach from HB, coffee from Asda and then my shop from sainsburys!

NANAMIA good to see you back i have missed you too my lovely, i hope you arent too shattered from the last few weeks. I am fine really, i am managing to pop a few catch up tv moments for myself in between paint drying etc.

MRSINVISIBLE haha now that has made me laugh, believe me i couldnt put anyone to shame re: decorating, i am the same, this is my biggest project since being on my own and i being too used to being told 'you are doing it wrong' 'oh for god sake you are useless get out of the way' am finding it very challenging, in the end i just stopped doing anything when he was here, i am slow doing anything anyway but the paint is very thick so painting is like painting with syrup, then you have to wait for it to dry for so long, then another coat, i have had to take cupboard doors off, paint tiny bits, paint bits that come off (ex was a bodger) now i am getting to the lower parts ie. kneeling on the floor time which i cant do :rotfl:but there is no rush, i set myself little challenges each day, so i get a certain piece painted and finished, im sure you are all bored silly by it all now :rotfl:

See you all later, have a good day everyone :)

Hello everyone! Long time no speak! I've not yet had chance to post on the shiny new thread so here goes :j

My little boy is now 1 (Oh how the time has flown) and my little girl is 3 (4 in October) so I've decided this year we're gonna do the whole Elf on a Shelf thing! (EEEEKKK - I'm probably slightly more excited than the kids will be :rotfl: )

My only problem is finding a nice little Elf.....does anyone have any suggestions on where I can pick up a nice one?

    Hi all :wave::wave:

Still here and reading each and every post.
Just to let you all know that Sainsburys have Russian Standard vodka reduced from almost £17 to £11.:D:D
Two bottles bought and in the stash for my children for Christmas........They are grown up- not littlies:rotfl::rotfl:
I also picked up a lovely tee shirt for my daughter with red glittery high heels on down from £8 to £4. Thats another gift away.
£1 shop has loads of bags of sweets eg haribo which have dates on well into 2015 so they have been bought and put away for stockings. I also bought a cream metal jewellery holder with butterflies in. I showed the girls at work and they all thought I had bought it at a posh gift shop. All guessed it would be around £8-10 so obviously looks good:j:j
Wilkos also have some really cute candle holders in. They are jars with metal hanging loops on and are only £2 each. Really good value.

Hugs, love, encouragement and virtual chocolate brownie to all
    xxx
Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say
    Loving de-cluttering

Thought I would just share my really exciting news with you all.

:D the rag and bone men have just been round. :D

3 needed trips down the tip is now one needed trip . They took the old microwave, the tumble dryer, some old blinds, 6 old camping chairs that had gone nasty and lots of little bits. :D

I know I'm easily pleased. :rotfl:

MrsI wish we lived closer I'd have helped with the decorating. Better-than-bestie will be chuckling :) Your forte is in the garden we could swap skills. Any news from China? xxx
SFAM never tire of hearing how you are getting on, same goes for you we really do need to sort this teleportation out! I'm so proud of each and every achievement you've made, you are unrecognisable from the Sis I met two years ago :) and your own Freespirit shines from your posts :) xxx
Opee hiya:) good to see you, I can't believe your little one is one. Wow time really does fly X
Nitnurse hiya, how you doing? I think you may well have inspired me to get a wriggle on :) so thank you xxx
Mandco I thought it was just me so I'm glad you think this year is whizzing by. You know what happens now Easter , summer hols then Christmas woo hoo :) I'm glad to hear you sounding more like yourself, hope you are being kind to yourself and feeling better. Enjoy tomorrow, it sounds perfect to me xxx

Well in the house of Nan we don't celebrate Mother's Day, I've a aversion to its commercialism. I like a treat when they see something they know I'd like or even better them do something thoughtful, so my plan for tomorrow is to finally start to steam the dreaded woodchip from our bedroom walls. Have set the alarm for an early start and am just going to do a couple of hours giving the walls chance to dry before DH need a snooze. Hopefully it'll work out ok. The dreadful wardrobes are no more woo hoo. Dismantled and taken to the tip :) The sliding doors have been made to measure and should be ready anytime so the walls need tackling. Should be fun.

I never learn and am not happy until I'm spinning loads of plates at once! In between prepping the bedroom our wonderful band of merry helpers are taking the hedges out of the back garden in readiness for the new fencing. We really are blessed.

Now Linky I need some help please :) DS has booked and we are going out to see him returning December 3rd. Which means I need to be done and dusted for mid October. Is this doable? Can you start me off please and keep me focused ? xxx

Evening everyone, i have just done something i am quite blooming proud of, i have put a coffee table together :rotfl:its a present off DD2 for mothers day and i know its ikea (fab instructions, all the tools included) but im quite a thicket and usually come unstuck, but apart from one bit i had to shout DS to help with i have done it on my own, and i have put the lovely decorative dish DS bought me for mothers day on top (didnt need help with that :rotfl:) it will keep me inspired to keep at the painting, i have decided to give myself a day off today and tomorrow, otherwise i think my head will explode, so apart from running all the errands this morning i havent done much else today.

OMO just a little thankyou for inspiring me to dare to go a bit different after seeing your gorgeous living room, i have decided to go quite white (wallpaper has purple flowers and white background) so based it all around this, love the quote, how do they make these quotes so damn true haha, i didnt know rag and bone men still existed, it would please me a lot too, i think i am going to have to eventually order a skip  we have such a tip pile it would cost a fortune in diesel
NANAMIA you have made me really emotional, i have welled up, that was such a beautiful thing to say, that is why i bl**dy love this thread it is so supportive, i know you dont believe in it but you are a flipping fantastic mum and nan so i hope you still have a lovely day tomorrow, good luck with the woodchip and the steamer :(

    Hello everyone!

Hope your all good , very jelous that some of you lovelies have started the Christmas stash I am behind on everything! I am not going over board on fathers day , probably get him some nice t shirts and standard stuff.. I have such dad issues still. Its approaching three years since he left and I am still not over it , not that I admit that easily.. Anywho..

Mum is still doing well , day 9 or 10 I think in this turn around and to see a sparkle in her eye is amazing , she even tried doing a press up / sit up tonight!

I am going to be super brave and admit I weigh around 17st 6lbs.. bad I know however I can do an impressive amounts of proper sit ups and run believe it or not lol! I am quite athletic even at this rate hehe.

I have got the exercise figured out right but not the eating jeeeez

I also have this freaky right arm which twitches/spasms for no reason not sure if its medication/brain/epilepsy related but I don't particularly care as so far its not affecting anything but I will mention it to my neurologist.

Last two days has been mostly spent visiting my poor friend in hospital who has been diagnosed with pneumonia.

Ok thats a freaky post I have done admitting weight , dad issues and all the other stuff I waffle on about!

Am now off to write a list for birthdays/things I need to save for and to start planning the Christmas shop!

Love to you all and keep smiling! xx
