Wide awake again in the early hours:(
Well I've got the camper van now, she's sat proudly on my drive waiting for me to be able to drive again end of April. Am taking the opportunity to get the seats re made before I go camping in her. Have a friend who owns an upholstery shop so she has given me some help and advice
Free spirit - your lounge sounds lovely, hope you are recovering from the paint fumes. Glad you got the coffee table together, it's little challenges like that hat makes us go "hey, we can do it!!"
OMO - love the quotes!
Nanamia - I like your idea of buying a gift when you see one relevant. I gave my Mum her cards yesterday, but am going to take her out to a garden centre over Easter for tea and cake and she can choose a plant for her garden. That way we can spend quality time together, especially as my Dad will be away for a month visiting my Uncle in Oz.
April is quite a birthday month for me, luckily I have quite a bit of stock in my Christmas drawer! My niece doesn't know what she wants so I will probably give her a voucher and then she can get some clothes or whatever she likes.
My sil will be 30 and I have a benefit set I bought at Christmas time so will give her that and then add a couple of little things.
Besties celebrate silver wedding anniversary next week so will try to get them the silver wedding rose to plant. They didn't want gifts but you can never turn down a flower or plant
Hope everyone enjoys Mothering Sunday, or just a lovely relaxing day in the sunshine2015 £2 Saver #82

still no moving date yet so living in chaos as most of our stuff is packed.
have managed to get a few more bargain Christmas presents which need to be packed with the rest. Have been very organised and each person has a large gift bag with their presents in so they just need to be wrapped near the time.
happy mothers day to all the mummys x x0 -
Good morning, is it still morning? what do I do with this hour? am I awake or asleep? do I get more sunshine or more sleep time? it confuses the bejaysus out of me every time!!!!! However, I will just enjoy the day.
DD and I went out for dinner yesterday, lovely meal and a great laugh together.
Nanamia, going to Oz brilliant, super, fabby, so pleased for you. I still don't know what is happening with DS1 and family, just wait and see.
JJ well done for sharing 'issues' you are more steps closer to ridding yourself of them now.
Freespirit, first a michaelangelo and now a master cabinetmaker, go you! seriously, isn't it a real ego boost when you do something like that?
What a busy thread we are, lovely to read all the busy stuff, decorating bargain buying, Christmas sorting and rag and bone men too.
My lovely long time friend and neighbour called over yesterday with a bunch of daffodils for me. She said she had bought a load of bunches in town for a grand total of £1 so she was sharing her good fortune by sharing them with everyone, she gave bunches to about 10 of us.
Hope you all have a lovely day, off now to grab some caffeine. xx0 -
Afternoon everyone, Happy Mothers Day to all mummys out there, hope you are being spoilt today, as well as my coffee table and decorative bowl, i have Harry Potter World tickets, a scarf, and chocolate, very spoilt and very grateful, i love my kids very much, not for how much they spend but the thought behind each present. Its lovely doing nothing today, i think i really need it!
Now Linky I need some help pleaseDS has booked and we are going out to see him returning December 3rd. Which means I need to be done and dusted for mid October. Is this doable? Can you start me off please and keep me focused ? xxx
NANAMIA i was so emotional last night i forgot to mention this haha, how exciting for you, and what a lovely relaxing, ending to the year for you and DH
JJ i can very much understand how you feel about your dad, its nearly 3 years for us as well, but my kids wont have anything to do with him, they still feel so hurt and angry, so i think you have done well to communicate and buy presents, go your mum yayyy, and do you know what, what you have gone through with your illness, its not surprising your weight has not been at the forefront of your mind my lovely, it will all fall into place as and when, hope your friend gets better soon x
BETSIE aww thankyou, ooh how exciting about your campervan dont forget piccies please, that sounds a lovely treat for your mum, i know i would love it
DEBNDOT hello, hope you get moved soon my lovely
MRSINVISIBLE aww thankyou, my daily dose of sunshine :rotfl:glad you had a lovely time with DD yesterday, what a lovely thought of your friend to spread her fortune, hope you have a lovely day#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Freespirit, well done! You have every right to be proud, nana is right you've come so far!
Jj you really are a super star! Despite all that is going on in your life, you're always happy and light hearted - a real inspiration
Nana great news about the family! I think you can be done by mid October! Links planning is epic!
Omo, I'm loving the quotes
Bit of a mixed bag today - I always find Mother's Day a bit hard, but worries for DH have overshadowed it this year. He has improved, but we had to go back to the specialist on Friday for a check up. It was his old one, and he said that the surgery recommended by his 'new' consultant has very high mortality rates (we were told by 'new consultant it was 19%ish risk) so now we don't know what to think.[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Evening everyone, i can hardly move, DD1 cooked chocolate pancakes for breakfast and a homemade Nandos for dinner and a Mothers Day polka dot cake
she did what you did once NANAMIA made cake pops and then put in cake mix. We watched White House Down this afternoon, so pretty much i havent moved from the sofa (so far) :rotfl::rotfl:today, mind you i know what i will be doing most of tomorrow, my kitchen looks like i have had a burglary, i dont think there is much left in the cupboards :eek: there must be about 4 DW loads
OMO funny quote as always
FEISTY hugs for today my lovely! oh no you must both be in such a quandary of what to do after what he said, i really cant help with any words of advice on something like this, you both have to trust each others judgement, you have both been through so much and i cant believe you are both still having such a tough time, but we are all here for you#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

While they were out i managed to pack and wrap dd's easter hamper and decided to do my oh one so Ive ordered s load of sugar free sweets [diabetic] and a CD.
On the christmas front Ive ordered a DVD for dd she has a fascination with Shannen doherty so Ive bought her a few of the movies she has been in.

Morning All.
Not been on the thread for a couple of days.
Just sending well wishes to anyone who needs
I have also seen arm knitting of which I am going to have a go at as part of my 14 projects in 14 (different thread), but reason I mention it here is if all goes well, shall be doing a few and putting them in the stash for Chirstmas. The box I have is actually full, although some if for birthdays, may need to find another box. What/where do you put your stash of Chirstmas present bits brought through the year?
Also both my mum & MIL loved there gift bags yesterday which was fab and didn't cost much as some stuff was homemade or I had searched for deals.
Whoops that ended up a touch longer than orignally planned. Will read back through the posts I have missed this afternoon when I have a little more time.
NewThriftChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
