Oh dear have tried several times to post today and got sidetracked with various stuff and then I went a lost a bloomin post

freespirit - ooohhh yeessss we had afternoon tea at Sugar Therapy in Harrogate and it was scrummylicious. Charlotte is a lovely lady and really passionate about what she does. It was a bit on the pricey side but we had it as an anniversary treat. Well done you on tackling the coffee table. :T

Nanamia - woo hoo tripping off to Oz - bet you are soooo excited. :T
Betsie - I was reading your 3.48 am post at around 4.00 am - we must have really upset the sleep fairy.:( Looking forward to hearing of all the adventures in the campervan.

debndot - hope you get a moving date soon.

OMO - thanks for the quotes. They always make me smile.

Had a lovely day yesterday, doing very little on the chores front only what was absolutely necessary. Didn't put laptop on hence trying to play catch up today. I spent quite a bit of time stitching. DS bought me Philomena blue ray and some stuffed dates (yum yum).

Picked up the Autoglym stuff that was on offer at Halfords last week so I am using two for birthday pressies and putting another one away for DB for his xmas pressie.

Well I will leave it there for now.

    Take care everyone,

    Hi lovelies

Went to Essex for cousins 21st (she loves Towie) we met the owner of The sugar hut and ate lunch there too. Was lovely.

Newthrift- I use the end Airing cuboard for birthday and Xmas gifts.
    omo- still loving quotes.
    Blue_eyed- Sounds lovely.
Chrissy- sounds like your right on track.
    Freespirit-Sounds like a lovely day.

FF- Sorry I can't give advice on what to do but just sending you hugs and positive thoughts. Can you speak to other families who have had to go through the surgeries or really have a proper long appointment to sit and discuss every ins and out pros and cons ect. This must be very emotionally difficult and I wish I could help xxxxx

Hello, who pinched the sun? oh, is it your turn? ok then. Went to visit DSIL and Bro yesterday, to nurse my great neice, but she was having none of me!!! cried every time she looked at me, until I tried taking off my glasses and then she was fine, (I just kept bumping in to things). Aren't they funny?
They get their new sofas on Thursday, so nev-the-shred is coming up on Wednesday to remove the old one and give it to his sister, her old one is going to her other brother as he doesn't have one. MSE and recycling all round again.
Off now to top up the caffeine and scrape off this protective covering (aka dust) off the furniture in the living room. xxx

I haven't done anything Christmassy since I took the decks down. :rotfl:

This isn't really a Christmas thread yet. The only reason I put it in the title, was last year I didn't and when I went to add it in October I couldn't. It had to stay the ' You Know What ' thread.

Well I have woken up feeling rough. Tight chest and a cough.

    (Bit of a ramble now :o )

Next door ( the new ones ) have bought a dog.( news to me) Mia goes out to the garden this morning and starts barking at the fence. I tell her to be quiet. Their dog's is barking, so Mia barks back and the bloody man next door shouts at Mia to stop.
Beings as I'm not well I let it go, but if he does it again I'm going round there and telling him.

She then tells me they have got a dog to keep her company and as security as he is going to start work this week. I ask if he is working away, and she says ' no, he has got a job at the local holiday camp.' So he will be home every night. What security does she need FGS ?

So here we have a woman, who is disabled and can't lift her 2 year old up in the morning because her wrists are so weak. A woman who is pregnant again, and now a woman who has to look after a dog. Not forgetting the 4 house cats.

Sorry I know I'm going on, but somethings just don't make sense to me.

omo you make me glad to have normal neighbours, (i hope they feel the same about me) sadly if your neighbour is home alone with a tot and a bump im guessing the poor dog will be turfed out to bark in the back garden most of the day as it doesnt sound as if it will get walked much.

thanks for reassuring me that im not alone in neglecting christmas at the mo.

  • I am procrastinating.
Putting off the downstairs spring clean that desperately needs doing.
I popped into my local robert dyas on Saturday & they were selling off boxes of 6 Denby wine glasses for £13.
Might be handy if any wedding gifts or Christmas presents are needed?
I grabbed a box for myself but only thought about the weddings (all 4 of them!) we are going to in the next couple of months as we reached the car park. Could have kicked myself.

In Christmas news, picked up a Bear Grylls survival hard back book in the local charity shop for DS16. £2.50!! Didn't even look like it had been read.
He wants to join the army so stocking fillers will be things like camping plates, bowls, knives & forks ect.

OMO... I have the Let it snow thread permanently stored on my phone as I started reading it from the very beginning at the start of the new year.
Have reached page 293 so far & you are just discovering Yankee Candles!!
I love it & quite often drift off to sleep of an evening reading what you all got up to, where you're shopping for your bargains, what you're all planning on making.
It gives me my Christmas fix :snow_grin
I'm sure this thread will get more christmassy as the weeks go by.

    Still procrastinating......!
  • BOO! hows ya all didlin?

Not done much christmas wise but dh did make me a drink in the santa mug this morning lol

My dd4 told us all about how the easter bunny leaves eggs so she can find them at dinner last night... it never occured to me todo an easter egg hunt before. none of the older girls have never mentioned it really. But popped into tescos today and got a few fillable eggs and chocs to start with. Shall pick up a peter rabbit toy and some choc bunnies for the end prize next week.. debating if to put an easter tree up with the rest of the eggs under it but we'll see. Never made a fuss of easter before. (other than the food lol) I've got the ingrediants to make a few tonnes of easter biscuits the next few weeks and stuff to make dd4 an easter bonnet which she needs for tomorrow apparently (nothing like short notice).

Guess who sat and wrote a long post then pressed submit and got the forums are down for maintenance message :mad::mad: so i will try and remember who i said what to, also just realised i havent posted my challenges for a few days so will catch up with them, then i must go shower and get dressed, have been waiting for a pick up for an amazon parcel (it was my wine making kit but the concentrate stuff had leaked everywhere so DS said no its going back) but i knew if i got in the shower they would knock, they have just this second been :o, i cooked our Mothers Day feast last night from our celebrations list, it was really nice i made Pan Fried Maple Pork and Jewelled Couscous with No Cook Chocolate tart to finish (that didnt turn out how it looked in picture, chocolate seized up as soon as i added the icing sugar but it was nice)

JJ glad you had a lovely day in Essex, how did your mums Mothers Day go? Is your friend out of hospital yet?
CHRISSY have you watched Olympus Has Fallen? similar film about the white house that is good as well, hope DH and DD are feeling better

OMO omg what a pair, i hope they dont turn out like your other neighbours, a PITA!! I cant believe he flipping told Mia to shut up and not his own, cheeky so and so, why does she feel the need for security ???? :o hope you feel better soon
MRSCHRISTMAS hello, fab bargains again :)
MSGIGGLEWICK thats funny i was thinking of really not doing too much this Easter, i decorate the conservatory, have my easter twig branch tree thing with lots hanging on it, tablecloth, usually do a menu from Good Friday to Easter Monday :D but i just dont seem in the mood this year, DD2 and DP will be in Thailand and it just seems a lot of fuss and bother for us three

ETA just thought i have my DSis and kids coming for dinner on Easter Sunday, scrap that then i will just do a little bit of Eastering the house :D:D
