Just a quicky as I'm off to bed. The download problem on the movie app has been sorted so they can be watched off-line. :D

morning peeps, blue sky again. Yes, the memorial bench was a poignant christening, we put the plaque on slightly off-centre, as he would have done, and embarrassed him by saying nice things about him, then sat on him 'whatever' as he was fond of saying.
OMO, keep them coming, it is a daily chortle.
Mandco, yes sports direct had some good bargains, I also got the trackies for £1.60 for DGS, and got DS1 some NUFC stuff at ridiculous prices for his Christmas stocking.
B-E-G also got the autoglym, also for Christmas stockings, so a lot of main and silly stuff already done for this year.
JJ well done you, and your mum, ouch to the rope burn, and yaay to mocktails they are such fun.
Now, CBA is knocking on the door, but I really do have to clean the kitchen before health and safety condemn it. xxx

MrsInvis, I'm so glad that the 'christening' went well.

JJ Sorry you got your fingers burnt, but glad you and your mum had a nice time :)

Well DH and I ventured out for lunch with friends yesterday. I was very undignified and drunk 6 pitchers of cocktails with two other friends, but it was definitely needed. We are both feeling a lot happier/relaxed today :) I have been naughty and done a bit of work this morning, so the laptop is now going off and I shall pick up the DS. I'm still in my PJs and don't plan to move - was supposed to go to the car boot sale, but DH isn't up to it and I'd rather spend time with him :)

Well must have had a little delivery of GUAG overnight as I tackled quite a bit of washing and housework until lunchtime then things went a bit downhill after that. But I did do ironing before tea ;).

Might settle down shortly and try and find something to watch on Netflix.

    Take care everyone

Morning all. Not posted for a couple of days, but just had a quick read through.
OMO - you did a nice thing helping when they needed, does sound a little suss & that they maybe need some help, hopefully they get some.

I made use of the Body shop offer and got 4 100ml hand creams for the price of 2 which was fab. Two are for me but the other two are in the present box. One will be for my dad either for Fathers Day or Christmas (hemp handcream). He does a lot of manual work and also gardening and he use's this already so I know it will be helpful.
Trying to think of what I could get my OH for his birthday (it isn't until August but we have a busy july & august so want to have it all ready.
He is quite hard to buy for and usually buys what he needs/wants as and when. Wondering if to get him some bits and bobs he uses all the time in a bit of a hamper?

Afternoon everyone, hope you all had nice weekends. I'm not doing any Christmas things at the moment, but I'm all sorted for Mother's Day. It's very easy really, I've posted a card and given my dad his orders to go and buy mum flowers for me, because why spend loads on one of those postal flower deliveries that end up being awful, when I can tell him to go to the shop for me and get lovely flowers for less? Then I just give him the money.
