freespirit - hope you are feeling better today. Sounds as though you had a lovely day with DD.

mrs m - must have had another delivery of guag overnight as I have been on the go since first thing. ;)

newthrift - I love the hemp handcream from Body Shop. Need something quite intense. I also find the Evelyn and Crabtree very good too. Hamper idea sounds great.

CupOfChai - sounds a very sensible idea to get dad to get mums flowers to save deliver. We had just sent some to sil in Australia via interflora and there was a £10 del charge  Mum said that it would have been a better idea to send some money to another member of the family and get them to get flowers/other gift from over there. Oh well, will try to remember that one for next time.

Well trying to get sorted for our little trip and get everything organised for tomorrow. Already got pjs on as I wanted the washing as up to date as possible - I hate leaving a load of stuff in the laundry basket before we go away :o. I wouldn't care DS will be at home to fill it for me anyway. DH refused to take his jeans off so that I could wash them

Thought I'd found a great deal on Groupon today for afternoon tea in Harrogate (place called Sugar Therapy). Sounded wonderful but when I went to order it I realised it must have expired. :( I wouldn't have cared but I was going to treat DH to a glass of champagne with it too.

Oh well that washing machine is screaming for me. Got lazy tea tonight (M&S 2 dine for £10). We were looking at a meal and it was £5.25 (can't remember what it was) and then I thought well for an extra £4.74 we can have a side dish, dessert and bottle of wine. Would have been daft not have bought it I thought.

Will try to catch up with you all later.

thanks for that omo youve reminded me i should have rung the dentist today, on friday late afternoon the filling fell off the top of my root canal. cos it dosnt hurt id totally forgotten that was on todays 'to do' list
i was supposed to have a crown but after prepping it for one he decided i havent got enough tooth above the gum to fit one so he just put a filling in, its never felt right so i think i may loose the tooth as i cant think what other options i have. luckily its the back one next to my wisdom so i shouldnt miss it (if i tell myself this any way of saving it will be a bonus)

just played hunt the stop taps with DS2 - his scout homework was find and photograph the gas water and electric turn off taps in the house. water one is a pain in the proverbial you have to empty a kitchen cupboard and crawl in it to reach!

spent the day tidying and decluttering our bedroom its looking much better now and i have 2 big bags of stuff for the CS shop

just preping leek and potato soup for tea then going to watch a film with DH while DS2 is at scouts and DS1 is at cinema.

i love coming in here and reading omos quotes and freespirits lists. keep them up please

    have agreat evening everyone

Been mia a bit lately but on way to recovery. Hope to have stitches out of foot on Weds and then lose the crutches.
But my big news is I've bought a camper van!! I've been looking for 1 for the past year or so and have now found one in my price range and in good condition. My Mum inherited some money and gave each of us some so I have used that so I have something to show for it.
I'm so excited and can't wait til I can drive again at the end of April.

Root filled teeth are effectively more prone to breaking as they have lost the nerves that help to anchor them and although filled with a substitute material, they are effectively hollow. This is why crowns are always the best choice. There are ways around your lack of gum, but NHS dentists like to wriggle out of it due to time and the fact you only pay one charge (or none if you are exempt) ;) You could request gingival reduction around the crown, or a post crown where they insert a metal post into the roots and then secure this to the tooth - the crown fits over the top of you remaining tooth and this post.

You won't get pain because the nerves are gone, but you mustn't neglect it or else it could cause caries on your remaining tooth, or even worse make the root canal fail :(

    Hi there everyone

Freespirit I noticed that one of your challenges today is to go without coffee. How has that been going?

Betsie A campervan! Wow! Where do you fancy travelling to with it?
