  • Lots of hugs and creme eggs to all. You all certainly have a story to tell atm. My town is surrounded by villages which have been evacuated, ruined by floods, our own town is high up but we're still suffering with landslides and falling tree's, trains are running on very limited to none at all..

On a brighter note - i bought my sisters xmas pressie yesterday a kipling bag reduced from £43 to £12 (it went back up when i went to show the link to my dd1 so brill bargain) Just have my stepdads, one brother and his wife gifts left to get but they'll be foodie so won't bother just yet lol

Nanamia, i am proud.. they are challanging but thats the whole joys of growing up huh. i'm currently knitting baby stuff :D a online friend has placed quite a big order for baby bits.. shes due in about 11 weeks, so far this week i've knitted 4 baby hats, 2 sets of booties and just about to start a aran baby cape.. though i need to make another baby hat as dd4 pinched one for her baby doll lol. Good job they don't take that long to make.

I've spent my online time which is rather limited atm looking for new healthy recipes.. we're having slow cooked lamb kebab again tonight, i've found a nice chicken and spinach pasta dish that i'll adapt... a bacon topped turkey meatloaf with bbq sauce, spinach lasagne cups and syn free spring rolls... all to try over the next few weeks and all i can adapt to be that bit more healthy.

Thankyou all for having a read and for your lovely words.

freespirit66 - You wonderful forward thinking woman you! I am so glad to hear your attitude towards depression, hopefully more people are able to feel like that in the future. I am sure it helped your DS, glad to hear he's recovered.
Nanamia - Thankyou. I have to say that's why I posted this here, I didn't post it in any of the other threads I'm a part of it would have felt a bit awkward where as here it feels like more of a community.
murie & mrsinvisible - You hit the nail on the head, it's so sad, and almost shocking that the campaign is needed in the first place.

    Now back to Christmas :P
I was in dunelm yesterday and their christmas aprons are reduced to £1 I got one for my gran :D and little cookie cutters, lots of rocking horses :/ cheap very cheap... 10p or 30p... I can't remember....

his missus - So jealous of you getting away from the constant drizzle!

And now I'm off to exercise my bottom off in an attempt not to loose a diet bet :/ it's not looking good unhealthy dinner planned tonight and tomorrow oops!

was in tesco earlier and they had some clearance offers on toys including the imaginext castle for £20 & interactive doc mcstuffins £15 not sure if its store specific but worth a look if your going anyway

pixtotts thanks for sharing like the others have said its terrible that the campaign needs to be run but depression/mental health is sadly very much misunderstood even among the medical profession  If people were honest almost everyone knows someone who has been affected at some point to varying degrees but a huge % never let on for fear of being judged.

    his missus enjoy your holiday
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

Firstly, I'm sure the teenage you would be very proud if she could see your blog, it is very courageous to post something about yourself like that and open yourself up to everyone that reads it. Big round of applause for you from all of us! :T:T:T

Secondly, was this Dunelm in Blackpole? If so, I will be heading there straight away on my way home from work :rotfl:

Where was it all, out of interest? I never manage to find any goodies in there, they always seem to be hidden!

Pixtots, how right this campaign is, and how sad that it is necessary, Depression and Mrs I have crossed swords, and I dread it ever wanting a re-match, so I have every sympathy for those who are still battling it.
OMO , what day is it? Thursday? Friday? I love the quote.( Who is the prime minister?) So good to see the niceness of people, helping each other when disaster strikes, but good news doesn't make headlines.
DD had another cyst cut out of her armpit yesterday so she is out of driving commission for a couple of days, so I better get my taxi hat out. I too, am fed up of the rain, and the cold, and of being old and poor, so I cant escape. But I had a sunshine moment yesterday, I found the perfect dress for the two weddings I have this year, and it was in the sale, and was reduced from £69 to £12.99!!!!! Huge sunshiney smile. Oh, and I had a credit note which more than paid for it, so no real money changed hands.
Friend who recently got a dog is now looking for a new home for it. I hate to say I told you so, but........
Almost get out of bed time, have a lovely day, Red velvet cupcakes, Key lime cheesecake indeed! I am pounds heavier just thinking about them so I'd better think about lettuce and celery and ice cubes. xxx

MRSINVISIBLE hope DD is ok and recovers quickly, your dress was a fab bargain anyway but having a credit note too, very mse

HISMISSUS hope you have a lovely relaxing break after all you have been through

Yes Blackpole! If memory serves correct it was pretty much opposite the stairs/lift to the left slightly though. Left of the electrical stuff right of the plates and glasses and what not.
Those may be the worst instructions I have ever given! Lol.

    LOL omo... like that one!

i sat watching the croods (again!) with dd4 this afternoon and casted on the baby cape.. i have 21 rows left todo and its complete :O lol would have finished it today but kids wanted feeding blah lol.. not sure on dh's plans after dinner but if we don't go out i might try and crack on and get it finished. if not tomorrow :D i might make another as its sooo cute! (looked on etsy and they sell for nearly £30 each :O do people actually pay that for knitted baby clothes? i thought £15 was being costly)

this is my local newspaper. just been sent this http://www.westerngazette.co.uk/PREPARED-Flooding-expected-possible-damage/story-20584602-detail/story.html shows the floods which have been ignored for the last month or so :(
