    Hugs to mrs moneypenny xxx

Well, I haven't found much inspiration for bessies 40th birthday but have found a fab idea for another friend's 40th gift.

    This bag: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chocoholic-Since-1974-Birthday-Shoulder/dp/B00CD2VDZO/ref=sr_1_52?ie=UTF8&qid=1390927656&sr=8-52&keywords=40th+birthday

filled with choccie goodies and choccie smellies. Well not too filled, I want to send it in the post as we won't get to see her until after her birthday.

Love it! Can I suggest using collect+ instead of royal snail? I think you can send a parcel up to 2kg for under £5. Worked out cheaper by a long way for me recently.

Good afternoon. Quick question it's DD's 4th birthday next month and she's having a Doc McStuffins party. I am going to get some cheap plasters and bandages and ask the children to bring a toy each to "Make Better". Can anyone think of anything else I could get? Was thinking maybe a cheap toy doctors bag and they can share the tools out of it.

Congratulations on your win Arthien. :D

My thoughts are with you for this afternoon mrs-moneypenny.

Found this doctors set - only £4.99

    Xmas Saver!
Where did today go ? My day off always flies by. :(

Car got fixed. New battery was £4 cheaper than the one from yesterday. :)

Shopping all done. Made a spag bog. That will have to eaten tomorrow as ds used the large saucepan to empty the turtle tank and it stinks.
Will buy a new one tomorrow in Tescos on my way home from work. So that's the £4 ( plus more ) gone. :(

I have found a voucher for £5 off a £30 spend in Lakeland. It needs using by the end of Feb, but I'm sure I can get there in time. I will get my Dads bowl and probably a second one for here. That comes to £29.98  do they sell stuff for 2p ? :rotfl:
If not , a bar of Kendal Mint Cake may have to be purchased. :D

Well I started this post well over one hour ago. I had just pressed :D when the phone rang. I then forgot I was posting and walked Mia. :rotfl:

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Thank you. Some great ideas. I love the doctor sets on Amazon. Considering buying a few of the cheaper ones and giving them instead of party bags. Probably cost the same but will be played with more than the toys that are usually given. Also love the book of boo boos idea. :T

My friend threw a mini spanner in the works and asked what I'd do if the kids brought actual broken toys hoping they'll get fixed!

    Happy Belated birthday ABBAFAN1972

Junior J - Happy smiley and positive as always. A lovely picture. XX

Arthien - So glad you won the travel guide.

Hanley25 - I am sat here with my mouth open absolutely gobsmacked at how much your SIL expects you to do. You should be ranting, its well deserved. I think Bridezilla needs to be told about how much pressure she is putting you under.

Pigpen - Panda suit OOS at all my reachable Argos. Sorry :( EDIT - Ameyturtle - You star! :T

Freespirit66 - After cubs on Monday DS asked me to sit down so he could talk to me and then told me about Holocaust Memorial Day as they had done it in school, and he told me all about the Rose Blanche book. He was really interested and I also found it interesting (as I confess to not knowing anything about it) but ridiculously sad too.

Just read the words "Peanut Butter Cupcakes" and I am drooling. It's the first day of my diet experiment today. I am trying to see what diet suits me and I can cope with and today was WW. Work colleagues who are on this calculated I should have 26 points. No idea how anyone lives on this as after breakfast, lunch and allocating milk for brews, it meant I was left with 5 points (a muller light yoghurt) for tea.

Tomorrow will be SW Red Day, and as I don't do veg/salad/greenery I think permanent red days may be the way to go. Right now though I would be willing to put on half a stone for a peanut butter cupcake. Mmmmmm :rotfl:

his missus - Read above. I will be THAT colleague on a diet but scoffing treats out of their drawer ;)

For the 40th pressie how about something like "Go Ape" or "Aerial Extreme" where you climb and swing etc, or indoor skydiving or indoor sledging.

    Sequeena - Great Bargains!

Nanamia - Is Fryers Nursery the one near the Cottons Hotel? I will have to try there. Yeyyy new wardrobes for you too. Thats lovely that DS is treating you both. Thanks for the updates on JJ. You sound like you are having an amazing time.

mrs-moneypenny - Congrats on the scratchcard win. Thinking of you today.

OMO - Hope the cough improves. That was the BEST quote of all so far. : )

Ruth_Honey - The London route info you posted for Nanamia was really really interesting. I have been to London quite a few times for work stuff with my old job, but that was mainly just visiting the Excel or Olympia for a trade show and then straight back home again. As a proper tourist I have done it about three times, but the first two I was in my teens. The last time was for a weekend away with my brother to see a concert at Wembley.

Reading what you have posted and the bus route I think (as I suspected at the time but brother said it wasn't that bad) we must have walked for miles and miles. We stayed (and parked car) in Westminster (ish) (Easyhotel Victoria) and during 2 days we walked past and through (amongst other things) Houses of Parliament, Buck Palace, Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus, and the one with Hamleys and the Ferrari shop opposite (Regent St?) Leicester Square (think the amazing sweet shop i loved was around there), Covent Garden (brother saw a palmist), Carnaby Street, and a big park and basically for miles as my brother said it would just be easier to walk everywhere.

I loved every minute of it but by the time we were coming home late on the Sat evening I had big fat feet and I drove home in bare feet (not safe I know but was very necessary). DD wants to go for a shopping/theatre trip nearer xmas which I would love to do. (I love Harrods but brother had no interest at all so didn't get to go in that direction). As a lazy teen she won't walk anywhere if she can help it so a bus route would be perfect. Thank you

This week has flown by. At work during the day then at night I have been hid in the bedroom glossing woodwork, emptying room, clearing cr*p and having a big push ready for the new bedroom at weekend (if its actually all in stock in IKEA when we order it on Friday that is).

I almost didn't confess to this but as you now all know by now what a clumsy ar*e I am I might as well own up.....

I have had another Mr Bean moment. Took DS to cubs on Monday and the car park is old and muddy and was churned up by the cars etc. Dropped him off and took him in, and on my way out I am not sure whether I just slipped or my comedy foot gave way but I had a big fall. Came home with muddy trousers and a swollen knee (all scuffed like a childs knee) and a newly bruised leg below it. Sigh! All this falling over is getting very boring (as well as painful) now. :o

The worst was when I was glossing paintwork last night, I did bedroom door no problem but then forgot about leg/knee and bent down on my knees to do the skirting board and almost screamed the place down. I bet I gave my neighbour a fright.

I was off a half day tomm (PM) for counselling session and dentist but I have asked boss if I can change it to a full day so I can paint bedroom window sill (wont do it at night as couldn't sleep without curtains closed) and order the carpet, and have a big bedroom push in a kid free house before I do the planned medical appts in the afternoon.

    xxxx

BBTHREE-you must've covered a lot walking all that way! Sometimes it is easier to walk round London-especially if the traffic is bad, but hopping on and off buses to get to places is so handy. The TFL website can be useful for finding routes, but if I can be of any help, just ask. That goes for anyone in here. I'll try my best! Will happily recommend theatre shows if needed, and try and find the cheapest way of doing things.

Finished my first ever crochet project today. I made a scarf! :) Might do another one in a different colour because I won't see my crochet guru (!) until Friday of next week. I don't want to forget it all by then, but I'm not confident enough to chose my own chart and start something unguided! I'll be fine once I've been doing it longer and have confidence in myself, but right now it's all new and scary. :rotfl:
