3fortheholidays thank you for the link! just ordered 2 lots of meerkats for stocking fillers. They look fab, I got the infrared bumper cars last week too did you see them? xxx
Mrsinvisible yum yum coffee and shortbread delicious. My very fave might just treat myself tomorrow as it's weigh/treat day :) I love wetherspoons, always beautiful clean toilets :) I'm a bit funny about eating out ha if the loos are clean it's a big plus for me ha! I sound like a proper loon now. And their gammon and egg are blooming tasty too. Did you have a good time with DD, glad your friends car is sorted now. Don't forget to take a few minutes to be kind to yourself too xxx
Linky survey completed and shared via FB :) See this is what I'm worried about, DS marching round in his boxers singing "Maybe sits because I'm a Londoner" is that normal for London ? What strange sites will my poor eyes see :) Can't wait xxx
Nitnurse sending a big wave! we've missed you it's your duty to post :) We didn't get the decorations straight up in the loft either allowing a little squirrelling of a few more bargain xxx
Nicki I love the thought of a Rudolph day. Trust me to have missed it. Am going to look it up shortly. Wow you are organised with the packed lunches go girl X
Craftymummy Well done on DHs weight loss that's fantastic :) Have DDs friends had baking or cup cake decorating parties or craft parties? Sorry I'm not much use, I'm out of practise with 10 year olds. X
Feisty I'm watching you lady! I've seen evidence of a working weekend????? Happy birthday for your shop for tomorrow :) so possibly will let you off afore mentioned crime (this is a one time only reprieve) Hope the dinner party went well. xxx
b_e_g sending you a very gentle virtual hug. Please be kind to yourself xxx
BBTHREE we were at Fryers Nursery, I've never been before it's not on the scale of the King of GCs Bents obviously but I did do well. And they are famous (apparently) for their roses. We've been to the others too more so when I was card making. Can't believe you've ordered new wardrobes. DS is treating us, my wardrobes are horrid, in fact awful, they were awful when I moved them from the flat to here 26 years ago. I've started the declutter mission ready for the mammoth job, then it was Christmas so I did nothing and now it's nearly Feb and I've still done very little. Except I have decided that I'm having a built in sliding robe along one wall, it will eventually hide a lot of carp. I'm hoping anyway. Pop us a photo on, you know how very nosey I am xxx
Squeena lovely to see you :) well done on the bargains. How is Thomas ? xxx
Betasam Oooh how exciting :) what an opportunity, of course I am a little biased where Oz is concerned :) xxx
Hanley oh what a lot of work! I'm sure DSiL to be is stressed but really. And you are putting so much thought and effort into everything for her. I've just swerved a hen do actually, I think there has been some "chatter" about it ha but if it's causing me anxiety in January and isn't booked for another 8 months I don't think it's for me! I am wedding planner, invitation maker (not stitched) and cake maker so enough to be getting on with. The hen do you've got planned would suit me perfectly :) xxx

Huge thank yous to our resident tour guide Ruth
I was getting worried that we'd have to go without your advice. I will copy and print tomorrow. Thank you so much for that. I am looking forward to it now if just a little scared.
I'm not usually a quick reader, certainly depends what my BDs up too at the time due to concentrating! I'm on the kindle app via my iPad so have picked up several bargains. I've started "meet me under the mistletoe" but it's not grabbed me as quick as the last few I've read but I am liking it. I've put Freespirits new one on my wish list so I don't forget what it's called. Most of the authors you mentioned I've enjoyed and Maeve Binchy, Erica James and recently Kitty Neale. xxx
Freespirit ooh what was today's bake ? Can you tell I'm ready for a treat haha, I was almost dribbling reading of Mrsinvisible shortbread xxx

You're welcome, Nanamia. Hope you have a wonderful time! It's only a couple of weeks until we go to see The bodyguard. Did I mention my silly DH booked a matinee, so we're not seeing Beverly Knight, unfortunately? Oh well, I'm sure the understudy is very good too.

JJ-Hope you're doing well in hospital. How do you manage to look so good? I looked a right state when I was there!

Brrr...it's chilly here today. I kind of want to go out and do something after spending all weekend indoors, but not sure what to do?

    afternoon all
JJ, sending you massive get well hugs and good wishes

Hanley25, sounds like you are doing overtime for bridezilla already, hope she appreciates it all.

love the if at first you don't succeed skydiving is not for you quote.

havent had the puter on all weekend, and was busy out doing stuff all morning so not had a proper chance to catch up. sorry if ive missed anything important. hugs good wishes and positive vibes where needed, belated birthday or celebratory wishes to any ive missed
and get well or coping vibes to any who need those.

busy week this week for mixed reasons, have a funeral of a friend to attend, an extra meeting at work, and an 80th birthday party for a family member so lots to do with varying emotions thrown in the blender at different times.

had a smile this morning, two young guys were in front of me in the queue at supermarket i was topping DS2 phone up and thought id buy a scratch card. funnily enough the two lads both bought the same type of scratch as i'd decided i was getting. Almost changed my mind as i thought theyve bought the ticket i decided i was having but decided to have that type anyway. Glad i did i won £20. thats my smile for today, whats yours?

Mrs Moneypenny - my smile for today will come when I go out with crazy bessie no.1 tonight. She always has some barmy tale to tell.

PS I have two bessies - bessie no.1 and bessie no.2 - both are as crazy as a bucket of frogs. I'm clearly the calm to their loopyness ;)

ETA:My smile moment has just occurred. My office colleague has spent all day telling anyone and everyone how she's on a no carb, no sugar diet and how everyone should try it, yes it's difficult but the results are astounding but I've just seen her sneaking jelly babies and Minstrels out of her top drawer and chomping on them when she thinks nobody's looking:rotfl:
