Hanley25 You are being extremely generous with your time that you are spending stitching the invites.

I am away to start my declutter & tidy-up. Will pop back later. :D

Decluttered my beside cabinet along with some of the drawers in my chest of drawers. Will do the rest of the chest of drawers next weekend.

I found a pair of fluffy bed socks and a pair of pants a size too big with the tag still on them (from memory I think that they were a birthday or Christmas present given about 3 years ago) that I will donate to the charity shop or put in the next charity bag that comes through the door.

Perhaps I might finally create some room to store some of the birthday and Christmas presents that I have bought. :j

Oh great, the kids think the house is haunted.

I nearly chocked on my dinner and now have no voice and a cough. The water in the downstairs loo vanished tonight. Every time you flush it the water disappears. Then just a minute ago the bulb in the lamp next to my bed exploded. The light was off and we can find no glass. But it went with one mighty bag and the twisty bit is still there. I have looked everywhere for shards and there are none.

    Oooooo...spooky!
Last night we dropped the glass jar with the Dreamies in (cat treats) and both heard glass smashing. The jar wasn't cracked at all. Nor was the lid. We did have to grab the Dreamies as quickly as possible though, as Blossom thought all her Christmasses had come at once and was trying to Hoover them all up.

    Good Morning all
I've been reading every day but haven't had anything to post!
JJ, I hope they can sort your shunt without further surgery - you are so brave and positive, you are an inspiration to us all.
Well, my friend came for lunch and asked me to go to stay with her in Melbourne. I am thinking about going in 2016 - another reason to look for Christmas bargains!
It's my sister's birthday this week - she wants money towards a new vacuum cleaner! I have bought some chocolate, which I'm sure the children will help her to eat, as I like her to have something to unwrap.
I suppose I had better get up - it sounds stormy outside - I hope that everyone (and their property) are kept safe.
    Samx

Oooh BETASAM that is something to look forward too. It was awful here this morning, i just stayed under the duvet :D

    Hi all.
Sorry mini rant time. I have been stitching every night working on SILs invitations and as well as that trying to think of a hen do idea for her. She hates nights out drinking and went to a spa once and sat in the corner with a dressing gown on refusing to join in as she is very body concious (sp). I wish I had her body she's a size 10 at most but that's another story.
Anyway she loves baking so I found a place in Chester where we can all go for afternoon tea and then have a cupcake decorating class. Spoke to MIL and she said it's perfect. Saw SIL yesterday and said I needed a list of who she wants to invite. I hadn't even told her what it was and she had the biggest most childish tantrum you have ever seen about not wanting a hen do and that her fiance is not allowed a stag do! DH didn't help as he started calling her names it was like being back in time when they were kids! Lol.
I took her to one side and explained it's not a traditional hen do it's more of an afternoon out with friends and family. She calmed down slightly but I can't help feeling that I'm going to a lot of effort for her and she is being very ungrateful and a little spoilt!
To top it all off before I left she mentioned that she's like me to stich thank yous for all the bridesmaids to be framed like I did for my wedding!
Ok rant over. Ha ha. Hope everyone else is well, hugs to those who aren't.

HANLEY one word 'BRIDEZILLA' haha i think that is a lovely idea for a hen who doesnt like clubbing etc, especially if she loves her baking, you are doing so well with your invites it must be blooming hard work and i hope she appreciates all the effort you are putting in to her wedding

I've already started buying Easter chocs. I'm buying for 4 kids under 6, and my DD so I'm spreading out the cost and making it all completely disposable, no mugs/toys/excess packaging this year ;)
Oh and 3 of the 5 kids have birthdays in April as well which is why I've started now!

Oh NICKI i am lucky i only have my three to buy for and they are older, and i still wouldnt trust myself with them sitting in my house god knows how many times i would have to replace them before easter :rotfl::rotfl:

We had haggis, neeps and tatties last night for dinner (the OH is a scotsman) and to be honest (with plenty of gravy) I quite like haggis :) They're also nice and small to fit in the freezer and not bad on the calories according to MFP so double win :D
Sorry to hear your still in hospital JJ - I can't stand being sick so I don't know how you're coping with all that but you're a star looking after someone else whilst your so ill :)
Was thinking about popping into town today but it's piddling down outside and was blowing so much round the house this morning that I really don't want to and since I don't actually need to I will spend a nice warm day with my hot water bottle on the computer :)

LAZYSHEEP i was surprised how low haggis came out on MFP as well ;)
AMEY oh no i dont think anyone is crazy buying now for easter, its just the fact i am so sick of chocs from christmas, just seeing rows and rows of chocolate made me feel ewww :D
OMO love the quote :D oh dear that is weird, the bulb was off and no glass :o the only thing i know about water disappearing is when a tsunami is coming :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:but i dont think that applies to a toilet
CHRISSYG when are your glasses supposed to be ready? hope it is soon, i have to sit against the tv virtually if i lose my glasses :D
