Can everyone please go to this site and do the quick survey. It's only 5 questions. They will donate 50p to Prostate Cancer UK for every survey done.
If you know how, could you also share on your FB page. Thanks x

done, a work colleagues husband has been recently been diagnosed with prostrate cancer and its not going well at the moment he is only 49 yrs old.

I expect to pick up my new glasses next week my god they are expensive. they seen to think my new meds have had such a dramatic effect on my sugar levels that its changed my prescription.

I'm having a bit of an issue on eBay at the moment i sold a steamer [working fine just a bit slow ] guy collected it but now has opened a case saying it leaks and he want half of his money back ! It was a cash on collection item so nit sure how to handle it.

  • Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I read every post.
Love hugs and best wishes to those who have lost, are poorly or struggling in any way.:grouphug:

I haven't bought very much apart from the usual Boots sale:j:j, wrapping paper, tags and a load of decoration from £1 shop...at 50p each in the sale.
I hadn't put the decs back in the loft :o so was able to hide the new ones amongst the others as DH has decreed we have enough to decorate not just Fenwick but Northumberland Street as well!!!!:D:D

I have bought the goose fat for my roasties for Christmas at B+M yesterday dated Sept 2016:eek: Maybe I should get another for 2015 too:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    xxx
Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say
    Loving de-cluttering

Done. I lost my dad to cancer (although a different sort) and all types are just nasty :(

If it helps there's an option at the end to be able to share to the book of face...

I've been trying to keep up with you all but I'm not doing so well :o

Today is a "Rudolph Day" (Idea from OrganizedChristmas ) so I've got a couple of jobs to do. One I've been putting off and not looking forward to is repairing a glass snowflake ornament which broke when I was decorating the tree. I found the superglue the other day so thats on my list, and I'm going to stash some packets of white-tac I bought the other day ready for next years Christmas cards/decorations. I have cream walls so the blue-tac tends to leave a mark if they've been up all month. I couldn't find any from October onwards last year so I picked up 2 double packs and will hide them away. I have a small pack open and is being used for other cards/notes through the year.

Tomorrow I'm going to bake a 'Christmas' cake, but I'm going to use it as an Easter cake instead. Rather than using whiskey like I do at Christmas I've used just lemon juice to soak the fruit. Never tried it before but I'm sure it'll be fine. DD is still working her way through her Christmas goodies she got :rotfl: So to stop her stuffing herself with them I've put a bit into each packed lunch between now and half-term (I bulk make the lunches in paperbags, just assembling crisps, biscuits etc, sandwiches are done weekly & fruit daily). I'm trying to spread out the sugar as she's bridemaid at her dads wedding in half term so trying to keep her weight level (they've already had to let her dress out!) and minimise spots! ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Ds is walking round the house in boxers singing 'Maybe It's Because I'm A Londoner' :rotfl:

I am trying very hard not to laugh. :D
  • Hello everyone, sorry I've not posted for a while but I've been reading religiously every day, just not had anything majorly important to report.
Big hugs to everyone who needs them and to those who don't as well as its nice to have a hug anyway :grouphug:
Have been buying bits and bobs in the sales (nothing in the Boots sale as it annoys me every year, their website is just a nightmare to use!) and been putting them away ready for birthdays and a few for Xmas. Really need to get the whole stash down so u can sort through and see what I've actually got but really can't be asked....
Can't buy too much for kids for Xmas as at this age they change their minds so quickly. One minute they like something and the next it's "so babyish"
It's going to be DDs 10th birthday in September and I'm starting to plan it but got a bit stuck. Want to do something special for her as its her first double birthday but don't want anything too expensive but something that her friends haven't done. She's had disco, sleepover, bowling and jewellery making parties. At the moment pamper parties are the thing amongst her friends, so that's out too. She has mentioned a build a bear party but I think she's too old for that at 10. Plus I don't want any more soft toys in the house!! I want to get rid of them not have more. I know, I know, I'm a mean mummy.
Slowly decluttering the house, really want to get on with the lounge but can't do it till we have our new furniture in march...can't wait, we haven had any storage in there for at least 3 yrs...
Started the 5:2 diet with hubby last week, mainly to support him as I don't really need to lose weight and its going well. He nearly lost a stone in 2 weeks!! I'm so proud of him, hope he can keep it up.
Hope everyone is having a good wknd.

    Done, and shared :)

Well we have 4 friends coming round for dinner tonight, so I've spent most of last night and today baking and cooking. DH will actually get to spend some rare time with another male, so the obscene amount of money we've paid for ingredients (£23) is worth it :)
