j-j hope you get it sorted soon.

We are not mentioning the carpets in our house. Mia chased a cat last night in the garden and ran straight through poo. She then ran back in the house. At 11 0'clock last night I was on my hands and knees scrubbing the floors. I will have to shampoo them again first thing tomorrow so they are dry for when FM gets here.

On my way home from work I am popping in Aldi to get a hard broom and then the patio will be bleached and scrubbed.

I have the beginnings of another cold and could do without it really. :(

love and best wishes, JJ hope that there isn't need for surgery, you are one amazing youngster xx
BB3 what wonderful news, delighted for you.
OMO best wishes to best friend. my carpets need cleaning? prelease
    xx lol.
Can I please wish everyone a happy birthday now, as I am so rubbish at remembering them. (last year I gave DD her cards a whole month early right date, wrong month)
Have had a busy couple of days of doing stuff, (mainly for other people, but my need for control got out of control) but on the plus side I have found someone who can fix the conservatory roof for me.
The greenhouse has been reglazed and I have managed to save some of the plants too, so big smile.
House has suddenly got cold, so I need an extra jumper, and gloves, that's what that stupid MP said anyway.
Dishwasher and washing machine have just finished, so I'll go and empty them. xxx

:eek:thought i'd upset you, till i read that again. Hope its not me that has anyway;)

OMO- I hope your friend is ok.

My mom waited 3 hours before waking my dad up to take her to the hospital. Then she made him park and walked to A&E, She then told the receptionist that she thought she may be having a heart attack! When the doctor saw her he asked if she could actually feel it, because she was so calm. She replied "If I panic it would only have made it worse":o She was just as bad when it happened the second time!

JJ- I hope you feel better soon

Well I actually managed to do well in a sale today. Fanfare please:
    Christmas cards 20/30p pack x2
    Gift Tags 5p pack x3
Fill your own crackers silver £1 x1
Tea light holders 60p x3 (posh ones like the Yankee range)
Frame/quote thing x £1.50 (love it, must take a photo see if Feisty could share the idea)
    Gazebo £99 x1
Obviously the gazebo wasn't a Christmas bargain but it's fab and it means I can sit in the garden and angle the sides so I don't have to see neighbour from hell and she can't see me!
We were at a garden centre in Knutsford, had gone specially to buy an occasions rose tree for the elderly neighbour (who we used to do an awful lot for but I've managed to ween her off us-almost) who is 80 tomorrow. I'd like to think karma led us there :) As she's not been very nice (since weening) but had started to take advantage :( so it had to be done. Anyhow she was delighted with the rose tree and I'm delighted with my bargains.
Ruth finished "Fireside Dreams" I loved it. Thank you again for the recommendation. Hadn't realised that the author had also written the Christmas bake off that I'd loved last year. Ah I'm such a dumbo, will start "Meet me under the mistletoe" tonight and let you and Springdreams know how I'm getting on xxx

Oh well done on the bargains fab! Thats one of the reasons i avoid friendships, when they go too far and you cant get rid of them :D i like the idea of the gazebo too haha

    Love that quote OMO :rotfl:

Nana, so sorry to hear JJ's news, she's very brave. Please pass on my best wishes to her. It must be awful for her mum too - they seem very close and I know how I'd be feeling if one of mine was suffering like JJ is. Makes me realise how lucky I am.

BB3 - congratulations on the good news, you can relax now. :)

Not much Christmas prep going on here but then we're knee deep in birthdays at the moment so not much time lol. DGS1 was 2 yesterday and we're going over to see him tomorrow for tea and cake. He's Mickey Mouse mad at the moment so all pressies have a definite MM theme!!!
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

    love the quote.

just so i dont look a total fraud for carrying on posting in this thread, last night i bought 2 rolls of wrapping papers for 10p each from Tesc0.
and a scarf i knitted has been put away in the christmas pressie stash box.

if i made a christmas cake last christmas fed it loads of brandy wrapped it in foil and greaseproof paper but didnt get round to icing or marzipaning it would i need to freeze it to keep it for next year or should it be eaten now?
not that i'm admitting anything mind:o
