nic275- well done with your weight loss too x Some days are harder than others, but I try to remember that the weight didn't go on overnight so its not gonna come off over night!lovin' this site!

I just got a PM about the Paris travel guide give away! :j
I responded as quickly as I could, so hopefully I'll get a copy, as DH booked us a romantic long weekend in Feb as my Christmas present.
Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me please ladies
Can't remember if I've mentioned it before or not, but my MIL has been doing SW since March last year, and by our wedding in September, she had lost more or less 5 stone! She put about 4 pounds on over Christmas, but she's pretty much lost it again now, and we can't believe how different she looks. So you lovely ladies who are on it can be assured that it really does work, and she says the fact that she can eat as much as she wants is what makes it work for her. No more stupid hunger pangs!
I think I might ask her to help me get started on it this year, as I'm feeling like I'm slightly heavier than I used to be, which isn't helped by my thyroid problems, but I definitely need to take control and become more aware of exactly what I'm eating. I had to write a food diary for my dr last week and it was quite horrifying :eek:0 -
Freespirit66 I did stay up for the boots sale as I really couldn't face going into the store after reading the horror stories about the sale. I did ok however I didn't get everything I wanted, the website is a nightmare, I don't think I will bother in the future, it was hard work lol!
BABYBOO no after the horror stories i have read about on the forums i couldnt face that either, im not that desperate, i find their website atrocious i have stopped using it tbh everytime i have problems, glad you did ok though and it was worthwhile staying upFreespirit yes please I'd love to see what's on your bucket listI'm just really one of those boring people who's never had the urge to travel etc. We went to South Africa in 2010 ( comp win for the World Cup) and I love Cape Town etc but we went up Table Mountain I'd i felt so ungrateful, it really did nothing for me at all. I know that makes me sound bad but I was grateful to be there with my DH etc etc just views etc are not my thing. I'm just a home bird, like my family and friends around me. Boring
Thers just no hope for me is there! xxx
I have tried looking to see if i can share it but im not too bright at computers haha, so will ask DS tonight if it can be done, wow what a fantastic wini am happiest at home i must admit but i do like seeing different countries and culture tbh i hate the airport and flying bit totally to the point where i am sick for days before flying
now if i could fly first class everywhere that would be a different matter :rotfl:
Freespirit- I'm not joking about ww and being hungry! I lost 3 and half stone but I STARVED for 7 months! I was a miserable moo (more so than usual!) and even I didn't want to be in my own company! All my family said that I was beginning to look as If I had lost too much weight but according to WW I still had another one and half stone to lose before I got to target! Needless to say I stopped going and a good chunk of what I had lost piled back on over the last 9 years. I have dieted in between (including ww for a while) but SW seems to be working for me now. I have lost one and half stone since end of October which is a nice steady amount I think. What I'm trying to say in all my waffle, is that SW is a good diet for people with (ahem!) 'healthy' appetites like me! I think you said you had tried it before so you probably know. My Sis tried the 5:2 diet and stuck at it for 2 months ( hospital recommended it!) and lost all of .............6lb! She was miserable on it. I think it all depends on how determined we are about losing weight as to how successful any diet is. Right -I'm gonna shut up now!
oh dear 6lbs isnt good is it over 2 monthswell done you that is great since october, i am a grazer that is my trouble so perhaps SW would be better for me, i will have to see
NIC well done on your weight loss since christmas

Have decided to book tomorrow off work (I'm owed some time in lieu) and plan to get the house straight and tidy.
*The whole house needs vaccing from top to bottom,
*I need to go through the rest of dad's "junk" and decide what needs throwing/carbooting/fleabaying/charity shopped (as mum now has 6 bags of clothes of dad's that need to go to charity shops/charity bin and our van's only half empty from the "junk" trip!)
*write up a menu for next two weeks (need to research halogen oven recipes as I've inherited one from dad along with 3 cook books)
* catch up on the ironing & washing.
thus allowing me to enjoy the weekend somewhat0 -

Oh HISMISSUS you have had such a lot to deal with these past weeks, no wonder you havent had time for housework, i remember a friend of mine saying her daughters MIL had died and they had to empty her house, it took weeks, it was a massive house, plus the lady used to run a B&B and had never got rid of stuff, my friend said she never wanted to land anyone the trouble of going through her stuff, she was going to have a massive clearout and it has always stuck with me, the amount of carp ex left behind is bad enough for me to deal with but the thought of the kids having to do it fills me with horror, so i just keep decluttering, tipping, bit by bit, its already taken 2 years and we are still not halfway i reckon, its not all in the house, loft, its workshops, sheds, garage etc#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

Btw- why cant I post emoticons??
(makes me laugh when it says 'post quick reply' and I have written an essay!!!)
I have found that the emoticons do not work with "post quick reply".Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Hi all
Got to do some work so will catchup and post later. Just wanted to say that I have got my biopsy results back and it's all clear. I am so relieved. XxAims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0
