Betasam hope you've enjoyed your Sunday :) How lovely to be able to keep Christmas going for a little bit longer. And that you will get to see your friend even if the circumstance she came over weren't nice for you all. 37 children wow that is dedication. I hope your ears have recovered xxx
Chrissy you always amaze me with your ability to get things sorted. Go girl. Hope DD has had a good week xxx
Ruth oh my word! upstairs neighbours must be awful! specially as they don't sound very considerate. Hope you ended up getting some peace today. I've just downloaded "Fireside Dreams" saved me thinking tonight, so thank you for that. I will start it in a minute and let you know how I get on :) Did the right corset arrive? xxx
Lazy sheep you are so right! weekend whizz by don't they. Good luck with your new studies and enjoy your last few days of freedom X
Mrsinvisible your skyping sounded fun, still haven't had any successful FaceTime with both our DGDs. The older one in Oz is not keen on sharing :( Well re your DS all I can say is that the acorn didn't fall very far from the tree did it :) Although I'd like to think that the Chinese have had him long enough now and the UK neeeeds him back xxx
b_e_g sending hugs :) How are DNs family coping, I'm saying a little prayer for you all. And of course his missus and your family xxx
Linky DS is spot on again isn't he :) How long did your peace last? Did you get your Apple TV sorted? I'm very tempted at the moment so would be very interested in your opinion :) xxx
3fortheholiday and Linky loving the quotes lovelies xxx
Feisty that must feel like such a relief now the decision has been made. More pressure off. You are doing so well :) You will get your dream I'm sure. Did you get to do your nails? Keep forgetting to ask, how is DH doing? Has he managed to go back to work? xxx
BBTHREE haha I didn't even notice what the number plate was attached to :) and DH was wittering on about me being crazy and getting arrested photographing cars in morrisons car park haha. Well it sounds like Spring has definitely spurng in your house sooooo when you've done yours feel free to pop round :) Re CBB I can not believe that Lee is still in either or that nobody can see through Luisa !!! Makes great tv tho :) xxx
Murie DH tantrums I thought that was just my house! The cake is fab well done you. It looks amazing, now wonder your darling Mum looks so happy :) And no way does she look 70 xxx
Ploddingalong aaaargh I'm angry for you. Definitely find out who your friends are :( Toothache and extra child and a crash tomorrow has for to be so so much better xxx
Freespirit well sis from another mister! keep missing you this week. Did you bake today? I was very tempted but behaved myself and did a little cleaning, but don't worry, I'm not poorly and it will not be repeated for some time hehe. Just took advantage whilst DH and lovely neighbour had a little mooch around the local fishing shops :) Roll on the fishing when I can get a little bit of peace xxx

  • PloddingAlong - what a scary experience. Thankfully you are all safe and sound. Cars can be fixed although could be expensive.

murie - both Mum and cake are both beautiful.

Nanamia - thanks for your lovely words. Family are devastated as you can imagine. Looks like funeral is going to be the end of the week :(. x

    Loving all the quotes btw.

Take care everyone and stay safe.

    Hi all,

Hugs to B_E_G, thinking of you all at this sad time xxx

I'm doing ok. It would have been dad's birthday today, think once today is out of the way, I can start looking forward with a more positive attitude. I did a lot of grieving before dad died and I think I'm almost through the crying phase :)

OMO, love the musical quote - that is so me when the chorus starts :D
  • morning all
just back read quickly but have the brain capacity of a boiled sweet this morning so cant hardly remember any of it.:o

    belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETSIE2010

murie that cake is fantastic and your mum looks lovely, gald everything went well

nanamia, love that car reg, leaflets werent as clever as they sounded the hairdresser i use was saying she needed more trade but printers charge too much so i just told her to write what she wanted and id get DS2 to have a play he was busy so it was basically a quick type a list on word and add a header. wasnt clever enough to work out how to get 4 per sheet so i improvised, and printed 4 small ones off and laid them all on the scanner together so i copied that as one sheet to save paper if she wants me to print her a few off. im waiting on a call or text now to say how many she wants

Mrsinvisible well done to your DS you must be so proud

Ploddingalong sorry to hear you got stranded but glad to hear you are ok. hope car isnt too expensive to repair.

DD2 and her fella come for dinner every sunday and he had a play on the puter and did a bit of spring cleaning for me as hes a bit of an IT wiz. theyve now managed to book a place in norfolk for same week as us so thats brill news.

finished the decoupage parts of the stocking over the weekend just got to sew the back on it now and its done.

hugs good wishes and positive vibes to all who need/want them

was a bit of a slattern last night and didnt bring the washing in off the line its now all steaming as the sun comes up and the frosts thaw.:o

must go and do something productive i suppose;)

Ploddingalong- sounds a horrible experience, glad you got it sorted (eventually!). I agree its times like those that you tell the difference between 'friends' and 'acquaintances'. I always think that the winter sun is more dangerous when driving than the sun in the summertime, we have to drive up a hill to get onto the main road and DH (and I loose that term very loosely cus I am still mad at him!) was going to work one morning and a a few cars ahead of him someone was knocked down on the brow of the hill cus the driver was blinded by the sun. It was horrible and it really shook him up at the time- hes always on at me to wear my sunglasses when I'm driving.

Freespirit- I think Mom has always looked younger than her years. As far as the cake is concerned- yes the cake itself is ok but I wasn't happy about the carousel. I made the canopy and horses etc in icing using a chocolate mould which didn't give such a clean cut moulding so was difficult to work with. I wanted it to be perfect for Mom so got annoyed with myself that it didn't look as good as it should. (Bit of cake OCD crept in and I couldn't leave it alone I'm afraid! Nearly put the thing in the bin several times I can tell you!!)
Nanamia- thank you - good to know that I'm not the only one married to a 51 year old toddler!!

B_E_G still thinking of you and your family xx

OMO- I love those quotes! bet you laugh to yourself over some of them that you come across in your search for our daily dose of smiles!!

Feisty- another decision made so that has to be a weight off your mind (although the tax bill aint nice!).

Pipgpen- I will tell Mom that you think she doesn't look 70! DD brought her a Nip and Fab '10 years younger' set as a laugh for her pressie. Mom asked if she needed it?? Nah! as for the pic- I will be brave and upload it to flickr so if you follow the URL for moms pic it should be on there. Gulp! I'm just so proud of it in a silly way cus its the only real photo we have of just us two together- we both hate having our photos taken.
