OMO That is awesome!
Hello everyone I am back again (seem to be making a terrible habit of going awol) fingers crossed I shall be back to posting daily
We had a bit of a shock earlier in the week when the tax man decided to bill me almost 2k more than I had expectedI wont deny I dissapeared into quite the funk for a few days. I'm happy to say that I am feeling positive again now
It has however put a few things into perspective, sadly it looks like we wont be putting the flat on the market this year as moving into rented just seems like a huge waste of money and we'd technically only be saving about £75 a month to live somewhere we weren't truly happy. Fingers crossed we should have more of a deposit next year and can concentrate on finding a house rather than a flat
Speaking of beautiful nails, you have all inspired me to go do mine now[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Congratulations Mrs I and DS - bet you were big chief proud face when you found outIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
-
Nanamia - I love and want that private plate. I showed it to DH and jokingly asked if I could have it, and he said only if he got the jaguar it's attached to.
Happy belated birthday Betsie2010
FeistyFidget - sorry to hear about the greedy taxman. Hope the deposit saving goes well.
Mrsinvisible - congrats to your son.
I have spent most of today spring cleaning/decluttering my bedroom.
I stripped the bedding first thing and then just got a bit carried away. I washed the curtains and bleached the skirting boards and window sills. Then.... I took everything (and I mean everything) out of the wardrobes and drawers, and sorted every single thing before I put it back.
Last weekend DD and I went through both our wardrobes last week but I was just sat on the bed (with comedy foot) and got her to put a lot back whilst I had a think. So today I did it by myself and was really drastic and I have got another 2 bin bags ready for the charity shop and took 3 bin bags to the tip.
Shut your ears xmas obsessives, but I have to admit the pressies I have brought for next year are getting in the way so it was good to free up some room to store them better.
I am knackered now. Just watching dancing on ice, and then bath, bed and CBB I think.
Re CBB, I can't believe Lee Ryan is still in. However, the one that bugs me the most is Luisa. She has done some serious sh&t stirring in there, but most of them seem oblivious to it
XxxAims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -
Sorry- haven't had chance to read back but just popped on to say Happy Birthday to everyone off the list Hugs to those that need them, and carry on and keep calm to everyone else (!).
Been hectic here over the last couple of days but culminated in Moms 70th Birthday party today which she enjoyed. She brought a lump to my throat earlier just before she left when she said that she has never had a birthday where so much care had gone into it before. (or should I feel guilty cus I haven't done it for her before??) Anyway- a good time was had by all (apart from DH who had a tantrum in the morning-child that he is!!). I am going to try to post a pic of Mom with the cake that caused me grief this week- fingers crossed I will be able to! Mom hates having her photo taken but in this one she is actually smiling and looking at the camera! She was obviously feeling mellow from a large lunch! DS also took a pic of me and mom that I will treasure cus its very rare that she is so amenable (or me cus I don't like it either) to the camera- I wont subject you to that tho cus its waay too scary!
Take care everyone, I'm off to bed for some before I keel over from knackeredness!lovin' this site!

Aww that's a lovely photo!
Feisty, just realised we live near each other
Had an awful day today, OH got blinded by the sun after going round a roundabout earlier and both drivers side wheels hit the kerb. Bent both wheels and blew out both tyres.
No breakdown cover & no one replying to any texts or phone calls. We were sat in a car park for 3 hours with 3 very bored children.
All sorted eventually, but let's just say you know who your friends are and I won't be running to help anyone else ever again!
So this is MY quote for today...

Love de-cluttering, to the point I don't really own much anymore. :rotfl:

Oh PLODDINGALONG what a horrible time for you, unfortunately its when you really need them that it does show indeed who your friends are, and its usually the ones who are always first to get your help too. Glad you are all ok and nothing worse happened xSorry- haven't had chance to read back but just popped on to say Happy Birthday to everyone off the list Hugs to those that need them, and carry on and keep calm to everyone else (!).
