My local one seems to get loads of new M&S stuff still with its tags on which it sells at bargain prices e.g. bras and shapewear 2.99 kids pyjamas 99p, kids socks and underwear 3 for 99p and clothes for less than £5. Obviously it's pot luck what they get in, but if you're passing an oxfam its worth a look.
Yes M&S stuff does go to Oxfam. A family member works there and I remember them telling me.0 -
We're any of the items already reduced or on offers, the internet takes the 30% off the original price not the reduced price so you pay less.BargainJunky wrote: »I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but has anyone else had problems returning internet orders to store when you have had a discount applied? They were store deliveries initially so no delivery charge applied.
I ordered some childrens items when they had the 30% off everything. I kept 4 out of 7 items and tried to return three today. The three items I tried to return were 2 x £7.00 and 1 x £4.00 (£18.00 total less 30% = £12.60) the assistant tried to refund me £8.40 which I thought was wrong as the £7.00 items with 30% off should be £4.90 each (£9.80) and the £4.00 item £2.80 (correct refund was offered on this one). Despite asking for another assistant to look at it they kept saying 'the till says' so I came away without a refund and was going to phone Customer
Any ideas? I have for some time thought that M&S refunds are wrong but this time it seems more obvious.0 -

The till will show the current selling price which would be the 60% off. They have obviously not inputed your receipt properly or changed the price to reflect what you have paid! I would call customer services or return and ask to speak to the manager of the store?0 -
I tried to place an order for delivery to store, but wouldn't let me have that option. I rang customer services, spoke to a very pleasant lady who said this was happening a lot due to their system being updated. She waited while I went through the order process, then asked for the order number and for me to confirm my details and told me she would have the £3.50 charge taken off and the items delivered to my home for free. I'd have been more than happy to have had store collection but am really pleased to get free home delivery. Thank you M & S.
Thanks for this, I rang up and they waived the delivery charge too. which I'd known before Christmas. Lady said it's when the stock goes below a certain level that the ship to store option doesn't work.
So glad I rang up.
She also put the item that I'd been waiting for since before Christmas on the order so at least I know I'm getting that now too :T0 -

Spoke to soon - just checked my email and she's put it through on the full price when she said they'd honour the reduced price & put it through on free home delivery for me.
Looks like another tel call in the morning :mad:0 -

When they do this sort of thing they sometimes just refund the difference straight back to the card you paid with, so don't panic just yet......0 -

Just found plenty for 99p a pair on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M-S-ladies-knickers-cotton-with-stretch-sizes-6-to-20-assorted-designs-low-p-p-/390741853453?pt=UK_Women_s_Lingerie&var=&hash=item5afa07850d
In addition to the above at 99p, M&S have a few down to 50p: http://www.marksandspencer.com/Cotton-Rich-Rise-Penguin-Shorts/dp/B0053KAFAM?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_1&nodeId=3143990031&sr=1-1&qid=13892563940 -

It all depends what other offers you received when you did your original purchase. (multibuys?, free delivery when you spend £x, etc?). It could be that returning those items disqualified you from certain original discounts.
This is how they explained it to me when I returned something recently...
From your original receipt, note the final price you paid for the whole transaction after discounts. This is figure 'A'.
Now go back to your original receipt and imagine you *hadn't* bought those 3 items. Re-calculate from scratch the cost of all the items purchased except for the said 3 (paying careful attention to multi-buys and conditional spend discounts). This is figure 'B'.
Now calculate 'A' minus 'B' and this is your refund.0 -
In store only I think as can't find online. Picked up a hairband priced at £4 reduced to £2. Went through as £1. Went back to carousel and got a couple more and also girls pave butterfly wire necklace and ring set £6 to £1. Lots of others on the carousel hair and jewellery so worth checking if you are instore.0
