Due to collect mine today, only ordered yesterday and they've gone down...will try this..thankslondon_saver wrote: »TIP! I ordered a shed load of clothes from M&S, order recieved today. Ive just looked online and they have all been reduced AGAIN! Rang Customer Services and they said their policy said they can refund me the difference (what I paid and what they have been reduced to) as I have contacted them within 7 days of recieving my order. Saves me a job of reordering and traipsing back to the shops.0 -

The R4 business news analysed the M&S performance yesterday morning and the report was very telling.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Got really excited about this as I had ordered (and took receipt of on Tuesday) a jumper for my father-in-law, reduced to £34; it has now been reduced to £28, so I have just 'phoned Customer Services in the hope that I could get him £6 refunded.
However, the young man with whom I spoke said that the amount that was agreed / paid (ie: at the point of ordering) was the one that M&S charges, and I am not entitled to a refund.
If anyone else applies for a refund, could they please post the outcome on here ... it could be that not all Customer Service representatives have been informed.
TIA
Just had a thought ... london-saver, did you pay by M&S Card, in which case you might have 'entitlements' to which non-M&S Card Holders are not (I ordered online and paid by credit card)If it's cheap, I'm cheerful!0 -
I took something back in store last sale because I had bought it at 50% off and it went to 70% off. They refused to refund the difference...0

Bought a dispatch bag, reduced from £19.50 to £6, and an "interview" tie for son for £3 reduced from £10 instore yesterday.0

Has anyone asked their telephone CS line for a definitive answer? The SAs at the CS desk in my local store are particularly crabby (doctor's receptionist mold!).fiscalfreckles wrote: »Maybe there's a difference in policy between in store & online Customer Services?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Both london-saver and I ordered online and telephoned Customer Services (as opposed to visiting the CS Desk instore), and yet she/he was given a refund for the difference and I was refused on the grounds that the price paid was the price agreed.
The only (possible) difference that I can think of is that london-saver could have paid by M&S Store Card (which I did not), and thereby been entitled to advantageous trading policies .... ???If it's cheap, I'm cheerful!0 -
Yesterday I phoned CS and was told that because I had not yet collected the items from the store they could not do anything (sale was not complete)
They suggested I mention it at point of collection and if that didn't work to get the store staff to ring CS where a note had been left on my account.
Store staff refused to refund as its not that particular stores policy (all different it seems) I explained the situation, SA referred to their manager who referred to another manager and nothing...I did keep saying could they ring the CS as that is what I had been told to tell them...bit of a sigh from SA who did ring...low and behold I got my refund (email to confirm today)
I paid by M&S CC.
I did wonder if the fact the items were in transit when the price was changed was relevant.0
