I'm very impressed with the customer service, even if the website is often behind the times!

I have got the whole cannot deliver to store message all day today so just rang up (via the say no to 0870 number thank god!) to do the same as you did but after being on the phone for 30 minutes getting the whole we will answer your call as soon as we can rubbish message I gave up! Sorry M&S you have just lost a sale! I will go elsewhere now!0 -

Think they are going down the pan bigtime and all their own doing.0 -
Can't remember where I read it (might have been on here) but apparently they are limiting the number of delivery to store orders at the moment due to either refurbing or merging the warehouses can't remember which. If so what a stupid time of year to do it!0

But it's just particular items that won't go through. For example; last night I had 3 items in my basket & it wouldn't let me have shipped to store.
I then removed the 'dodgy' item and got the other stuff shipped to store okay.
Just seems hit & miss depending on stock levels I think.0 -
Still waiting for more reductions! Been keeping an eye on the bras. Signs says 60% off but price labels are still showing 50% discounts. Wonder if the extra 10% is taken off at the till and they're not bothering to label them?
If I knew this was the final price I would probably buy now but I know in previous years I've done just that, only to find bras reduced to £3 and even £1 in the next couple of days.0 -

Oh what a shame newkidontheblock. I must have phoned at a good time. Thinking about it, I did phone very late in the evening after 10pm, as I noticed their phone line is open until 11pm. And I did what you did and used saynoto0870 too! x0 -

I used an 0845 number about 8.45pm and the call was answered almost straight away, only gave a couple of rings.0 -

It was me who was told by customer services. They are refurbishing a depot and need to reduce store deliveries whilst its taking place.0 -
Wonder why they are showing a downturn on like for like sales. Have you looked at clothes from next, top shop or even primark!!
Regarding the clothes , they will never excel in quality again, as most of their stock is mass produced abroad (as are most high street stores). They used to have they edge with customer services, but even that is now low priority to them.
Your post made me smile.
I use to be a sewing machinist many years ago and worked for a company that made clothing for M&S and the quality control was incredible. Nothing went out of the factory unless it was perfect and the fabric was always really good quality. Ah, the day's when we use to manufacture almost all our own clothing in the UK.£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210 -
I remember I used to order online from marks during sale time and get the clothes when I came back home for a holiday. As I live abroad. Now I cant as their sizing is all to pot. I ordered two pairs trousers online same style but different colours . I had already purchased a pair when home I thought no problem I know the size in this style and they will fit. How wrong was I. One as to big the other to small. To late to take them back. So now I really don't buy anything.0
