Anyone thinking of a short break might be interested to know that Premier Inn has a £25 sale starting tomorrow. I usually find a few bargains when this is on. Offers are from 22nd May to 7th Sept.

Hi Sylvia, shame your internet was off this morning - I would hate that as I do most of my comping (dailies etc) in the early hours and before the kids get up!

Hi FF and Shiels - laughing at your alcohol stories! I sometimes feel embarassed buying a few bottles of wine, especially if it is on offer! I also feel bad about filling up my recycling bin with the empty bottles too! lol!


Been a lovely day today - really quite warm and sunny - but it has clouded over and I think rain is forecast for throughout the night. Some MASSIVE killer bumblers in my garden and I've had to scream and run a few times! I bet my neighbours think I am nuts when they see me flapping in the garden and darting for the back door (and often leaving the kids outside!)

You should see the wine DH and I buy in England sometimes if there is an offer on. Scotland doesn't allow multiple booze offers now so we have been known to stock up. DH sometimes stocks up on lager too.
It is wasps I am scared of.

Hope you find some good bargain Sheils. There is a nice brand new Premier Inn in the new Plaza at Halifax which you might like. It has a new big cinama, TG Fridays/Witherspoons/Nando's/Harvester and a Pizza one all in one new complex.

I don't like bumble bees or wasps either Bella.

I bet you are really excited about your new laptop Rose, enjoy.

I am really pleased with my iPad firefly and think I have made the right decision getting one.. Not that I am getting on it much with the GD at the moment.

DD came back with a bottle of honey rum for us. I don't even like the smell of rum but this is lovely I have to admit.

i just asked on the helpline how to add the card to my shopping, after a while discussing they sorted it out & gave me the extra £15 as it wasn't made clear to me about how the gift cards work :j
