I found out yesterday that chicken fried steak isn't in fact chicken. I didn't know that!!! Its amazing the things you learn on Man v. Food......great show btw.

well of course it isn't :)...the 'chicken fried' describes the 'steak'...and OK...'steak' is itself usually a bit of a stretch...

I looooove chicken fried steak. At Red Rock they do quite a good version. Though admittedly I have never had proper southern US chicken fried steak so I probably have no idea what I am talking about...pretty much anything covered in country gravy is OK with me.

Social rewards users - is anyone doing the hashtag rewards on Caesars? I've not got an instagram account, wondering if it's worthwhile setting one up for this.

6 months and a couple of days until we go to Vegas. That sounds like AGES!!!

I have Instagram (I have no idea why TBH). I posted a pic I happened to have on my phone of Caesars just to see how it would work. I received the 10 points 24 hours later. You can then post another pic with the hashtag 7 days later. So it might be worth it to get 10 points once a week??

Just noticed the Instagram posts are part of the 3 a day limit. Unlike the "share" and YouTube posts.

love a bit of Cheesecake Factory! If you've not been though, be warned, portions are HUGE!

we've only ever had a main course each, never managed to finish them and have to get a piece of cheesecake as a cake-away!

i take my hat off to anyone who can eat in and complete a main + cheesecake!
I will definitely have a go next week - will come back in 2 weeks to let you know how I get on - also looking forward to trying the heart attack grill Downtown!

I really don't want to go near the heart attack grill after reading some of the stuff online concerning the owner.

Maybe try In-n-Out instead? I haven't been to any of their LV locations but I have used them a fair bit in California. Great food, great value, great service, spotlessly clean, but a very limited menu range.

Make sure to read their "secret menu" for a few more options. Here is a good blog about what else you can get from In-N-Out

Without the secret menu I can see people thinking 'that's it?' but they will pretty much make anything you want if they have the ingredients - they are the best fast food place in the world for special orders.

I think most get the TravelZoo top 20 but if we were not already over-hotelled for our trip next month I think I would be trying to convince the hubby to stay at GVR for one night - I would like to try it sometime and they do have some $59/nights when we're there (plus resort fee, I know).

Heart Attack Grill is good fun.We have been a few times and whilst the food isn't the greatest, they only do burgers with cheese and bacon, and you can have as many as 8 burgers with 30 rashers of bacon, the chips are cooked in lard and they do no diet drinks!!!The waitresses dress as nurses in tiny PVC outfits and the men as doctors, you get a hospital gown to wear and if you weigh over 350ibs you eat for free! The funniest part is when the nurses spank any men who don't eat everything with a wooden paddle HARD.It is all tongue. In cheek and isn't to be taken too seriously and defo worth a visit.
