I pretty much burnt out on funnel cakes within the span of 4 days though, so that's at least a point of reference for the future.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I'm now in MyVegas redemption mode and cannot for the life of me remember - when new rewards are released about 3pm or so our time, if you are sitting with one of them on your screen showing sold out - will it change to available when the new ones are released, or do you have to keep going out and going back into it to see the newly released rewards?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

I'm back from vegas. Went for 5 nights, jet lag doesn't seem as bad.
We were babysitting the mother in law so not much of a trip report this time. We were staying at the luxor and unfortunately above LAX so kept awake on our first night (a sat)
We had a great meal at Tender (my vegas reward) and also the visit to 107 lounge at stratosphere was great (2for1 cocktails and appetisers were good value)
We went with $2400 and came back with $1000, had some joy with the slots0 -
Hi all
Need a bit of advice regarding hotels or rather any experiences for frequent changes. Normally we would only split between 2 hotels, but this time it does not look a good option as hubby booked 2 nights at Palazzo (Xmas pressie for my birthday) and we jumped on the offer of Palms for Memorial weekend (such a fab deal). But that leaves us with a further 9 nights somewhere else and hubby not too keen on staying those nights at the Aria. So would it be mad to do 3 nights at Paris and 6 nights at Aria? Packing/ unpacking doesn't bother me too much, nor does having to wait for a room, but do wonder if it would cause a lot of upheaval during the hols? any help much appreciated x0 -

Without a car you could use a taxi. Lugging suitcases onto a normal public bus not might be viable. As a possibly rather way-out suggestion, I suppose you could use a combination of the two hotels' courtesy buses to and from the airport."Such an enormous country, you realize when you cross it" - Jack Kerouac0 -
I don't think there are courtesy buses to and from the airport for any of those hotels? I am not sure how they could be used to go from one hotel to the other if there were?
It does sound like a lot of moving but with a 6 night final stay (so a lot of moving then a stretch one place) and a 2-week trip it doesn't sound unreasonable...if you know you're only staying somewhere a few nights you can minimize what gets unpacked so repacking isn't too painful. If you have a car I agree it would be a bit less of a faff and if you plan for any potential delays checking in - and plan what to do while you're waiting, it should be fine. The one time we had a considerable wait we were a bit out of sorts as felt a bit homeless...since it had never happened before we hadn't really come up with a contingency plan for the homeless period.
The only thing that might be something to consider is staying somewhere other than Paris? As Paris->Aria is a short move and you're not really changing the scenery at all.
We moved from Paris to Cosmo once and it seemed moderately silly but rooms were comped so we figured it was OK.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
