Yes thanks again, much cheaper, I just need to organise the cheapest way to get to Dublin Airport, looking like ferry (Troon) and trains with overnight stay in Travelodge.
On the return I could miss the flight back to Dublin and get a Train from London to Glasgow. Looking into all my options.
Check out the low cost carriers from Glasgow to Dublin and I've done the skip the last leg. You just need to be careful to make sure they only tag your bags to London. I usually say I'm going to need my bags to shower and change in London when checking in...just look at the tags they put on and make sure they say LON not DUB.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I've also just booked a BA trip to vegas staying at the Aria for 8 nights (taking advantage of their every 4th night free deal). BA have included the resort fee in the total price which is good and we're flying to and from London.
So excited! 27 weeks to go!Starting to save for my first house deposit in 2017!

Ooh, when in August are you going? I've just booked flights for then and I'm thinking about staying at Aria again in a corner suite. I've not been for a couple of years as I've done SE Asia the last 2 years instead but I'm getting very excited already:j0 -
I'm there from the 3rd of August to the 11th. Conveniently so I can see Justin timberlake at the MGM grand during that week!Starting to save for my first house deposit in 2017!

Went to Vegas last July and loved it (got lots of info and tips from this thread).
Thinking about going over NYE this year and wondered whether I should start a new thread about this as was hoping for people's experiences? Tried to do a forum search but there was only one post re: Las Vegas that came up and it took me to beginning of the thread, which was obvs unhelpful.0 -

You can do a search within a thread too, try that for 2012 and 2013 threads, see top of thread for 'search this thread' button0 -

We have booked to go to Las Vegas from 31st May to 12th June. We've got reward flights from Virgin so only had to pay the tax for flights.
We have been 4 times since 2000, staying at the Imperial Palace, Luxor, Caesars and Palazzo so a mixed bag of hotels but this is the first time we have gone for longer for 6 nights.
We like to shop, eat, drink and gamble on the slots and he likes to go for a few games in the poker rooms. We are not fussed about pools, spas or nightclubs.
He is nearly 40 and I'll be 51 when we go - if that matters?:rotfl:
My question is this - I have given us a £1000 budget for accommodation but can't decide on how to use it. What would you do? Budget for the first week and then splurge for the last 3 or 4 nights? Good room in a lesser hotel? Basic room in a fancy hotel?
I am normally very good at organising our holidays but I have got myself in a right muddle with this one! Your opinions are appreciated, thank youBe careful what you wish for, you just might get it!!:eek:0
