Just having a quick look at dollar rate.
You can get 1.64 with FairFX at the moment. Not going going until May,but may get half now,as that's probably the best we would have had for the last few years.

I had it at $1.65 when they speculated too much in November! :D:D
but $1.64 is daaaaaaam good, so think I will buy some too!
*** FairFX rate is $1.62*** Where are you seeing $1.64 ???

Hey all, think I have asked this before, but need a refresh again....

VDARA hotel..... ( I know its non gaming).
You walk through the Aria to get to it ? so, from the strip (Bellagio/Harley Davidsons), I'd hazard a guess of 15 mins to get to the lobby ???

Also, The size of the pool doesn't look huge, for those that have stayed there, has it been toooooooo busy over a weekend were its not easy to get a lounger ??
I''m thinking of doing 4 nights there (Thurs-Mon), so being a weekend (last weekend of May), makes me wonder if it will be too mental with lots of people crowding the pool ?

So far, we've used 3 rewards from myVegas and got us 3 nights in the Aria (May 19th), then we do our 3 nights in LA, and original plan was to do 8 nights in the Luxor, but figured the chance of an upgrade with the $20 would be very slim based on how many nights, so figured it would be good to do 4 nights and then another 4 nights....

    Options at the mo are:
    Aria(3)/LA(3)/Sig(4) & Vdara(4)
    or
    Aria(3)/LA(3)/MBay(4) & Vdara(4)
Don't mind walking, but our main thing is pools!! :D

I said when i returned last May, that there was no chance I'd be able to afford to go again in 2014. Well that's still true, but we've booked up again!

August 20th for 7 nights at Mandalay Bay again.

It's been a right pain getting it booked, but we're finally sorted. BA from Newcastle via Heathrow. This means no taxi to Manchester and flying with long haul with BA for the first time.

It's been pricey, but we're happy and could have been a lot more.

Only three of us this time, though.

So i'll be a regular on the board again!

FairFX was 1.64 when I posted.
That was for cash delivery.Didnt buy any in the end, think ill gamble on it going a little higher yet......So with my gambling history that means it will now drop to around 1.50 :rotfl:

Oh for the days of over $2 to the pound. Now they were good trips to America.

On arriving from Las Vegas Boulevard drive straight into Aria Self-Park garage onto Level 2 which has the pedestrian bridge to Aria. Take elevator on the left-hand side of the Aria lobby escalators, descend to lobby and walk through Aria turning left heading towards Jean Philippe Patisserie, which leads to Aria valet area.
From Aria valet you walk right along the pedestrian walkway for about 25 yards straight into Vdara lobby.
Once you know this route you have a shortcut to Aria, Monte Carlo, Bellagio and The Strip.
For The Strip, simply take the elevator outside Vdara that leads to a pedestrian walkway directly accessing the crossing opposite Planet Hollywood.
The elevator is next to the chrome sculpture.
From The Strip back into Vdara do the same thing in reverse.
Whenever I mention this elevator people look blank but we found it the quickest way depending on where we have been, of course.

    @StuieUK34 Vdara...

by foot, you can get to Vdara easily through Aria, Bellagio or Cosmo.

    Aria:
head to sort of the back of the casino (head for Jean Phillipe Patisserie - amazing by the way - and the Haze nightclub entrance), and you come to a big foyer, go outside and the Vdara entrance is 30 seconds across the 'roundabout'

    Bellagio:
head towards the monorail stop at the back left of the property (towards Sensi restaurant), and you'll see the sign for the Vdara walkway

    Cosmo:
head to check-in desks at the back of casino, head outside, turn left, out into the sunlight, turn right and up the steps and you're outside the Vdara

all really easy, once you've done each walk once, it's a doddle :)

    Pool:
it's not huge, but i've never known it packed (stayed there 3 times July-Sept), and always been able to get beds. even when it's been busy, i've not seen the pool crammed, like you see at MGM pool parties, etc.!

for us, one of the great things about Vdara is that it never feels busy or crowded in any part of the hotel - proper relaxation... but you're only a couple of mins stroll from being in Aria/Bellagio/Cosmo :)

Yes thanks again, much cheaper, I just need to organise the cheapest way to get to Dublin Airport, looking like ferry (Troon) and trains with overnight stay in Travelodge.

On the return I could miss the flight back to Dublin and get a Train from London to Glasgow. Looking into all my options.

Don't forget u got about another £86 to add on as the Resort fee when you get there.....
I do find it odd how the prices of the hotels are a LOT cheaper in June, compared to May and July....
I have to go school holiday time, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! :(

Yes Ive still got the $25 resort fee for the 9 nights to pay :(

I didnt price July, but was looking at May/June and was surprised to see May prices.
