    8-17/6 £709
    US Airways
    GLA 10:20 LAS 18:29 16h 09m 1 stop (PHL)
    LAS 09:00 GLA 06:55 13h 55m 1 stop (PHL)

or go a day later for £689

alternatively if you can get a cheap flight to Dublin and back
    9/6 £469
    Multiple Airlines
    DUB 10:50 LAS 17:43 14h 53m 1 stop (ATL)
    LAS 11:00 DUB 08:35 13h 35m 1 stop (ATL)

    (all flights from https://www.kayak.co.uk)

How were you planning on getting from LA to Vegas ? One idea might be to use LA as a stop either on your way out or back to cut down on back tracking as it's a fairly short trip you're planning.

Thanks for this great info, why is dublin so cheap?

    I found this one also:

    Depart

    Thu, 19 Jun LAS to DUB – 1 stop 12h 50m

Would it be possible to leave from Glasgow and go directly to London (on train) to catch the 2nd flight LON to Las Vegas, are you aloud to miss the first flight? Its so much cheaper if you start at dublin.

Also would 1hr 20 & 1hr 50 mins be enough time for flight changes?

    Thanks

It is cheaper because airport departure tax is set by respective governments and Ireland don't gouge their travellers as much as the UK government . The price difference is entirely tax. No if you skip the first leg the rest of the trip will cancel.

What you could do is price it as say DUB LAS returning LAS to either GLA or LON so you;d just need to buy GLA to DUB one way which with Ryanair is pretty cheap (watch the baggage charges tho).

In answer to your last question ,,,,,depends where. If it is a quoted part of the journey - then yes -and if the first flight was delayed eg DUB to ATL as it is part of the same journey it's the airline's responsibility to get you to your destination-however that wouldn't apply to the seperate GLA DUB flight

If you miss the first flight the remaining will be cancelled so no you couldn't book to fly DUB->LHR->LAS and skip the DUB->LHR leg.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

  • Hello all,

We are having our wedding in Las Vegas next year (Which is already arranged) and have 50 guests attending, that will be travelling with us, albeit at different times / days. Some guests are extending their trip to include LA, New Orleans etc so all flight plans are different.

Are there any tips or information you can give us, to get the best deals when it comes to booking flights for our guests?
I don't think we fit a standard airline 'group booking' request.
    Thanks!
