John 4 Vegas really enjoyed the show and saw it a few times last year. We haven't tried it yet, but I might get Tony to give it a go at that price. Thanks for posting the deal.

OH and I have just booked our first Vegas trip! Flying United with a 2.5 stop in San Francisco, then 3 nights at Wynn followed by a 9 day road (Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Phoenix, San Diego), trip ending up in LA. I'm starting to think we haven't budgeted enough time in Vegas.. Wynn is as far as we got with hotel booking, so there's still time to change our plans! We're not leaving until the 10th December, so have got time yet to figure it all out.

Neither of us are interested in casinos, but the more I look at Vegas tourism, the more I want to do! We want one Cirque show (Love was our first choice, but it's not on the week we arrive), one other show, lots of time to explore on foot, and I want to eat everywhere I've looked at so far.

The first night we have in Vegas will be short lived, as we don't arrive until 8:30. I'm starting to think we need at least one more night (or another week, but Hubbs won't be happy forgoing the road trip!). Another night means a Saturday booking, and I'm not sure if we'll easily afford to keep the same room at Wynn.

    Any advice for the newbie?

It will be very cold at the Grand Canyon in December. We went in October and came out in the morning to find the water bottles we had left in the car frozen solid.

We didn't gamble at all the first few trips. We do a little bit now to get a cocktail or two, but it is definitely not a priority.

I just registered today, but have been a long time reader of the forum and had to register to let you know about some ridiculously cheap flights that I came across from Heathrow to Vegas in October (may be other months as well) with United Airlines that I thought may help some of the readers of the forum who are planning trips this year. For example 6 October –20 October £417.

If you want to do 2 shows then you need more than the 3 nights IMO, thats without everything else you want to do.

the first night as you say you wont be able to do anything as you arrive at 2030 (at the airport I assume) add another hour or so on till you get to hotel so 2130 which in reality is 0530 in the morning to you.

Same thing the second night, It will take some doing to stay awake to do a show on the second night

Just leaves the 3rd night for the show.

The Wynn is a great hotel but if you are strugglimg to afford the extra sat night there are different cheaper options.

I havent done any of those other places in December but I do believe they all will be cold and possibility of snow.

As well as the £417 airfare with United, I also found usingthe promo code IFPYO at the “book your room” page of the Flamingo Hotel, forthe month of October these discounted daily rates Sun –Thur $57 and Fri/Sat $97.These rates don’t include the resort fee and 12% tax. The only downside appears to be that online youcan only book a maximum of 11 nights with that promo code.

Anyone know the best value way to use MyVegas reward points? Only have a few days, and not too interested in shows etc. Just wondered if it was better to look at room rate discount, or food, buffet vouchers, or similar. Should have at least 100,000 by kickoff time, maybe a bit more. Cheers...
