Becky, I asked the same question about MyVegas. The FB account I use to play isn't in my "real" name. Apparently there is no problem, as long as your MLife account is in the correct name. One of the regulars on here plays MyVegas under their cat's name, and there are loads of people with "Vegas" as their surname. :)

Be careful, I know several people that have had their FB account blocked for using a fake my Vegas name.

We haven't had any problems at all. My account is in my cat's name with my surname and we have successfully redeemed several rewards. So long as the name on the Mlife card is correct, no problems at all.

Do you know exactly why they were blocked?

Oh how I've missed this thread!
Unfortunately I'm not heading to Vegas but my parents are heading away with another couple to celebrate big birthdays.
Flights for 16th April, dub to heathrow then BA direct to Vegas are coming in at £610 which I think is reasonable (opinions welcome)

There are wanting to book hotels ASAP even though I have said there is no rush.
I though PH would be a good location for them. 10 nights is coming in at £506 in a Hollywood hip room including taxes (lowcostusa). Seems pretty decent to me but what do you guys think? They want something central / mid strip so I was thinking Paris, balls, mgm, PH, NY NY would be good. They don't really care about decor or room size. Good location, clean & one decent pool is what they are more concerned about.
Anyone advise on the pools at PH?
Max budget is £2000 per couple so approx £800 for the hotel for 10 nights.

    Thanks in advance
  • I was going to say MGM Signature, but it is coming in at £1,056.00.
For me it is a great hotel, and the pools are great.
I also like the fact that I can have ceral in the morning, and so the weight gain is not massive (especially with say a 10 / 14 day trip).

that 10 nights at PH for £500 is fantastic value. £50 a night inc resort fees? and inc a weekend, I dont think any others in your list would be as cheap except Ballys.

    EDIT

just checked that price on lowcostusa and I wouldnt pay that £506 headline price as it is a pay in full now charge but more importantly doesnt include resort fees it states they are optional which in reality they wont be IMO

I worked hard in the gym for months before going on my 2 week trip, and safe to say, I put on what I lost + more in those 2 weeks, and we only had breakfast 5 times!!!
ok, maybe it was the ribs and beer that did it :D:D
But in saying that, I was drinking Bud Light all the time!
In that case, must have been the ribs ! and In n Out, and Jack in the Box, and Fresh Grill, and Hooters, and and and and! haha ! :D

Asda now selling Bud Light, although expensive, £6 for 6 bottles :(
Been waiting since last year for them to start selling it, and bud light with lime don't quite cut it, hence that's cheap!
  • 1st couple of years I put on 1 lb per day, but this 16 night trip I only put on 6.5 lbs so I am well pleased.

This trip was for my 40th birthday and I wanted to be in decent shape. At Christmas I started Metafit classes and managed to lose 2 st before we went. Metafit absolutely killed me (was physically sick after a few classes), but I think the effort I put in made me think a little bit more about the amount I was eating.

The trick is to eat well and train hard - the emphasis on eating well. The benefits of lifting weights for both male and females is well documented - that is for another thread though!

StuiUK34 - don't you find the beers in the US (well lagers) weak? Even Bud, bud light etc are like fizzy pop. Managed to find Bud Ice and Bud Platinum so I could have some beer with what felt like a decent alcohol content!

    hah !!!
Bud Ice = cheaper than Bud Light.... figured it was a cheapo beer, and had it last year and thought it tasted crap! :(

Yeah, as for my trip report, I re-read it again last night, each time I read it, makes me think how much I miss the place (only been back 9 days!!!)
I am hoping I can pull some kind of stunt and go again this year, although probably will be doubtful, as a trip will always look to cost a minimum of £2k each (flights+accom+parking+spending money)....
    hmmmmmmm
    lotto tickets tonight!!!!!!

Infact, just re-read them all, ooooowwwww I wanna go back next week !! :D
Just noticed too, that last years report and this years report both wrote on same day, within 10 minutes of each other..... spooky!!!! :D:D
