    Misty Blue,

Wouldn't bother with Mandalay Bay buffet. Not a good one (not as bad as Mirage though!). Haven't tried Bellagio or Aria yet but got both (as well as Monte Carlo) through My Vegas for next month.

    Cheers,

I havent been to MB buffet for few years , it used to be very good but I have read poor reviews lately.

have been to Mirage and I think it is good, better than some, that cost more

Agree with photome....We have done the Mirage the last two trips, and we think it is a good buffet.
One of the nicest we have been to,not a massive buffet, but what they have is nice. The recent addition of alcoholic drinks included with buffet, makes it a definite choice for our next visit.I had Bud and the wife had wine included in May trip ( myvegas) you just go to the bar when you want another drink.

Been playing Myvegas for a few days. Got up to 2000 points/credits, whatever they are, but keep running out of chips and have to wait for the hourly bonus. At this rate it will take a lifetime to get a second cup of coffee. Presumably I'm doing it all wrong, but I've tried everything I can think of. Playing on an iPad, but it won't connect to itunes whatever I do. I have itunes on my desktop. and the house is networked, so I'm flummoxed. Any hints gratefully received....??

How much are you betting at a time? At the start of the game you should keep your bets very low and concentrate on building the hotels, as they're the best source of regular chips (12k upwards, several times a day, once you have all of them). The other trick is to have plenty of neighbours who can send you chips. There are lots of MyVegas groups where you can add people as neighbours, and many of them include links to free chips and loyalty points.

Scheduled flights are only released approx 330 days ahead which is why you won't see any others. Thomas Cook may release theirs earlier.

Why do you not want to wait to book? The flights are often at their most expensive when they are newly released and then come down in price.

I'm just impatient I guess. I am also not very good with money, if it's there it doesn't last long. May just give it to my husband. He's much better than me with it. I didn't know that about the flights, that is really useful to know thank you. I will wait x

just booked a week's holiday for September... but NOT in Vegas!
It's going to be really strange, I'm sure it'll be a good trip, but part of me will always be thinking of Sin City!
Anyone else have this 'problem'?! :D

secretmachines - that problem is why we keep going to Vegas instead of somewhere else...we're sure we'll spend the whole trip thinking 'well it's nice, but it's not Vegas'. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    :)
we've gone for an all-inclusive, quiet, r'n'r Mediterranean week... so it'll be quite different!
we did enjoy Dubai last year, which was a non-Vegas trip, but I can't imagine anything coming close to the fun and thrills of Vegas!

I can appreciate you may like to go somewhere different than Vegas.
But speaking for us,I don't actually want to go anywhere else but Vegas.
I love the place......we went in May,and are booked again for the start of November. We went twice last year,I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.I know every one is different, but I have only been back a few weeks, and can't wait to go back.
We are already looking at two trips next year.
If the time happens when Vegas doesn't appeal for a holiday, then fine,
But at the moment after about 9 trips in the last few years,it hasn't got old yet.I just love it,and can't wait until Novembers trip.
As I say,a Vegas holiday is what I live for.Without one to look forward to,I would struggle to cope....sad I know but it's the truth.I just love the place. Its the only time I feel alive, and exited about anything.Booking a holiday anywhere else would just feel a compromise, and at the moment I am not prepared to compromise
