Best I had was back in April 2007, had $1.92 to £1


I know its only a few cents or quid, but when it comes to changing money, I want the best I can get, and a cent more here, etc can go a long way when our total money exchange so far is £5500...
Still got another month to save spending money!


Oh, and inter rate this morning is in the good $1.68+
So FairFX are showing $1.66 for Cash
and $1.6515 for Card..........
Time to do a conversion me thinks!

Rate currently at an almost 5-year high. Hope it keeps going up, will be there in 7 weeks.

I remember that too. Was it around 2007?

Tony can remember the $4 to the £ from years ago as well. My first trip to the USA (for work) was in 1981 and it was $1.90 or so then.

Just did over £2k to my fairfx card, rate I got is higher than the one shown on there front page...
Frontpage is $1.6510


I got:
(at the FairFX Rate of £1 = $1.6561)
Guess it wont mean much anyway!

I spent 5 weeks in the USA in the Summer of 2008 and got over $2 to the point back then. Think it peaked at like $2.04.

To those asking about Social rewards, if you sign up with Twitter and Facebook you can earn about $70 in 3 months. So if you and your partner do it that is $140 to spend.

Also you can set the facebook posts to only show on your news feed, and no one else's , so you don't end up annoying your friends.
