Lord_Jamesy (who was a facebook friend of mine because of MyVegas) died yesterday at the age of 36. He had a trip booked for him and his wife in December 2014, and was playing for rewards.

We have just returned this weekend. While we were there we saw Michael Jacksons 'One' and would highly recommend it to everyone. we also saw 'Love' which I did enjoy but found it very confusing to watch as there was so much going on you didn't really know where to look and I found that I had seen bits the other half had missed and likewise.
Also saw KA which I have to say just bored me to death. the theatre was stunning but the show wasn't.
We went to 12 shows in all, the worst of all was 'Criss Angel, Believe' at the Luxor. We were so disappointed as all the hype/advertising makes it look amazing. Quite a few of the staff we spoke to in the Luxor (plus a few people we met who had seen the show) also said that it wasn't enjoyable. One of the Luxor staff went as far as to say he had never heard a good report from anyone. Save your money if you are thinking of seeing this and go to David Copperfield instead. He was excellent.0 -
The Donny and Marie facade is coming down from the front of the Flamingo, an Olivia N-J one to go up?0

We wondered the same thing.
As for Criss Angel we had heard such terrible reviews for so long we had zero expectations and going into it purely to see how awful it was we managed to enjoy it as a MV freebie.
I also felt like I was missing things in Michael Jackson One as so much was going on at times. We will see it again when there are discounts available.
I was glad I had avoided reading much about it. One part in particular my hubby knew about but didn't tell me and it was my favourite part -probably moreso as it was not something I was expecting.
At Cosmo now and took their offered upgrade to a lakeview o e bedroom for $40 night and it's a lovely room.
Tried Rollin Smoke BBQ and it was gooooood. The sides were great too. We had room for Luv It Custard on the way back even. Plan is that's it for food untio lunch witb pebbles and lazyjack tomorrow which we're really looking forward to.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

We're looking at booking up for October and the best flights appear to be with BA from Gatwick (we'll be coming from Glasgow first).
Does anyone have any recent opinions of the BA flight from Gatwick direct to Vegas?
I've read plenty of stories about the bar being 'dry' within 2/3 hours etc.0 -

The dry thing can happen on any flight, happened on our flight out of LGW with Virgin. I rarely think it's true, it just happens when there's a bunch of lads/girls who are causing a bit of a nuisance. The head attendant got quite stroppy on the tannoy, and the seatbelt sign was illuminated for most of the second half of the flight!0 -

Olivia is filling in for them over the summer and and any other breaks they take. Their new contract is for fewer weeks total over the year. My bet is next year they will be gone or negociated even further reduction in weeks as both are a bit fed up with it as it restricts lots of other projects even if it pays really well.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

This really annoys me and puts me off flying direct. I don't want to be treated like a school child with the whole class getting "punished" for the misbehaviour of a few. I don't really drink when I fly -and if I do I want it later in the flight not at 11 am but I've often found by the time the sun is over the yard arm.....they've "run out" Yeah riiiiiight-like anyone believes THAT !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I think Cris Angel has become even more of a cult -People are going just to see how bad it is (especially with MV free tickets)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
